Maybe that's average in Ireland, but I'd have expected to be waiting at least an hour and to pay close to twice that for the same service in the US. The gentlemen here didn't even try to upsell me on anything.

What you do if you got to leave the car for couple of hours? Well, you can go to Blanchardstown Shopping Center which would be maybe 25 minutes away by walking.
