I talked to doctors 2 times and a social worker once and on all 3 occasions they either were thoroughly confused or they just did not care about providing care and instead just lied to me. Of particular note was a Dr. Asmin or Asmen (I might be a little off on his name). He called me to report on the condition of my 80 year old mother after a painful fall. It's wonderful that he called, and if anything he said was honest I would be writing a positive review here. Instead he swore up and down that my mother must been out of her senses when she complained about the medical staff at night moved her injured legs with complete disregard for her immense pain. The doctor promised me that not only was my mother not in pain but that she was given morphine twice. He stated the exact times the medication was given as if he was double-checking to be safe. When I arrived at the hospital I double checked with the nurses, they confirmed that no pain medications were given. I called the doctor back with the nurse at my side, and the doctor said, "honestly, your mother isn't even my patient." Mind you, he had called me, unsolicited, to inform me of how well she was being treated, when the exact opposite was true. Your hospital is pretty, but I would never trust it in a real emergency. If you have family that ends up here, know that it's on you to verify the honesty of everything the staff claims. Be safe and verify everything. 3 lies in a row from doctors isn't an error, it's a pattern showing lack of care, sloppliness, and true incompetence.

In Oct of 2024 my father was hospitalized at WMC after doctors discovered an Adrenal Mass that needed to be evaluated in order to rule out cancer. Dr. Pais performed the biopsy. Based on what we later learned from his medical records, only the fluid filled potion of the mass was biopsied, and we were told that it was cancer-free. Dr. Pais also failed to prescribe my dad antibiotics after having the biospy which is typically standard procedure after having an invasive procedure. As a result, my dad wound up with osteomyelitis (a life threatening bone/blood infection), that settle in his L2-L3 vertebrae of his spine. By the time this infection was diagnosed he had lost the ability to walk. Upon hospitalization for this infection they determined that the mass was suspicious and were starting to lean more toward it being cancer. They couldn't do anything about the mass until his infection was gone. Upon requesting his medical records I found that during my dad's initial hospitalization in Oct, his MRI report recommended a PET Scan which was completely ignored as well. The poor quality of care that my dad received during this time was absolutely mind-blowing, and set in motion an 18 month timeframe of health issues and hell he had to endure before passing. Had she not been quick at the end of her day to rush his biospy, prescribed antibiotics, and followed up with a PET scan my dad's outcome would have been very different. If you value the lives of your loved ones do not entrust their care with WMC and Dr. Pais. I can't change what happen to my dad, but you can prevent it from happening to yours.

The only two people in that facility who had any type of professionalism, care, compassion, concern, were the physical therapists. They were absolutely amazing and always made my aunt feel wonderful. Actually, the social worker talked about the physical therapist behind his back and attempted to place blame on him instead of her inept, incompetent ways but I knew better. She is truly a disgusting individual. The food, my aunt lost 40 pounds in two months because she would not eat their disgusting food. My right hand ring finger was being pulled in at almost 90 degrees towards my palm. My consultation with Dr. Konigsberg was very informative. He answered all my questions was not rushed. The day of the surgery, (Dec 31, 2025), went as scheduled with no surprises. Most amazing was the fact there was no pain or discomfort following the surgery. My ring finger is now perfectly straight. Days later, once the slight swelling went down, I am close to full mobility. Dr. Konigsberg proved to be an expert in his field with both his skill and knowledge as an orthopedic surgeon. We understand that emergency medicine can be challenging and that teaching hospitals play an important role in training future physicians. Unfortunately, our experience fell well short of those expectations, and we left deeply disappointed by the care our son received.
