I broke my arm (compound fracture) and needed emergency surgery. Fortunately, we knew of an ortho surgeon in Cabo and contacted him on the way to the hospital. There are several hospitals that have been sued for predatory fee charges, but someone recommended Blule Net Hospital in Cabo. While the services were good, they required a $30,000 deposit before they would do anything. I stayed in the hospital for 2 1/2 days and had antibiotics. The surgeon was good (my ortho here said no major issues that she could see yet) and the hospital staff very attentive and friendly. However....usually a 3 day stay in a hospital after this type of surgery is $8,000 to $13,000 and they were requiring $67,000. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS ISSUE, THERE IS AN EASY FIX: contact your credit card company and state "This hospital used predatory pricing and preyed on our situation and distress. Reverse the charges since they never provided upfront pricing nor did they ever (even after four month) provide an invoice." Also, contact the PROFECO in Mexico that handles consumer and billing grievances and they WILL (!!!) file a medical complaint. After a hospital has so many of these complaints, the government will close them down. Yay! I was on cruiseship and taken by ambulance to blue net hospital in cabo. The care was fine. Doctors spoke English. Nurses did not. The hospital required a $5000 deposit. They said they would bill insurance. I texted with hospital to see the bill. 77000 pesos whixh is about $4500 USD. Found out that the international billing office bIlled my insurance $50,450.06 USD. TOTALLY DISHONEST .It would have been better to deny having insurance paid the bill and submitted it myself. BEWARE THIS HOSPITAL AND DISHONEST PRACTICES. read more

AMAZING and AWESOME!!!! I was brought there on a medical emergency while on a cruise and had gall bladder removal surgery. The doctors were skillful, on point and professional. They were honest as to the severity of my case. They have the most amazing nursing care staff . Wonderful human beings. Caring and have personal connections even with language gap. Transportation was also provided for us . We'll never receive that kind of care here in US . They also have the best view from the hospital room . Thank you BlueNetHospital , I owe you guys my life . If I could have given a zero, I would have. My husband had a heart attack while we were in Mexico and they refused to help him until I managed to beg, borrow and steal $20,000. USD. (It took them 7 hours to help him!) Then they refused to release him until I borrowed another $10,000 to give them. (We have health/travel insurance but they wanted the money first and were willing to leave him in pain or possibly dying until I gave them a deposit. We are from Canada so that makes it even more expensive. I have never been treated so poorly in my life - they even told me to clam down & be nicer to the staff while I was panicking and trying to raise funds. I was seen here after being injured during an excursion. As i was extremely nervous being alone, injured and it being international i didn't think about getting paperwork when discharged. A few days after and until today i have been requesting documentation of my visit and they are refusing to give me anything stating it's because Wild Canyon (excursion place) paid the bill. I have NEVER heard anything like this is my life!!! How can you refuse the patient their medical records??.. I will be obtaining legal counsel to deal with this further to which Blue Net Hospital will be paying that bill! read more

GREAT EXPERIENCE! FABULOUS HOSPITAL! Helpful and knowledgeable staff. After experiencing episodes of profound abdominal pain over the prior 24 hours, I finally went to BlueNet as the pain was getting stronger. The front desk staff took one look at me on entering and immediately got me into an ER suite. The doctor was by my side within two minutes. He listened carefully to my history, examined me and ordered tests. The radiologist was fantastic. She explained what she saw in very clear terms. They ran an expertly placed IV of meds to deal with my pain from passing stones, prescribed appropriate meds and sent me home. Overall, this place was a ten! The staff was efficient and friendly, the facilities were super clean, and the price was great. Charges and payment options were very upfront. Much better than any ER experience in the USA. read more

Blue Net is known for predatory business practices against expats, tourists and locals . I was always asked to bring cash. In Mexico this is not odd but Doctors selling drugs without a prescription is very unusual these days. The exception is the old guard, a throw back to graft, bribes and living like it was the 70's- Blue Net is a very old hospital in need of modern updates and new technology. Their computers have no Intranet structure. There is no networking. So you begin over with each dr visit... Their equipment is antiquated, their doctors under trained and far from current. If all you want are pills and are willing to pay- you've got it. There are no malpractice laws in Mexico. There is virtually no over site and no consequences to predatory practices. I was misdiagnosed, lied to, over billed and taken advantage of while at my most vulnerable. There are new hospitals in town. Hospital H, which is state of the art with an English speaking staff, and highly trained US and Mexican doctors all knowledgeable in the newest procedures. In Cabo.I had no idea what to expect, and couldn't be happier with my experience. Silly and gross, but a large piece of ear wax was stuck in my ear. I couldn't hear for 2 days. I went to the resort medical office and they couldn't do anything. The resort recommend Blue Net. I got in fast. It was clean and the doctor was able to flush out my ear and relieve my discomfort (which we already tried at the resort). She was amazing and the entire staff was very friendly. To top it off they gave us a free ride back in their hospital vehicle. Hopefully you won't have to visit them but if you do, call them first before you pay for a taxi. read more

Wr are 10 year expats in Cabo. My wife took ill very rapidly with vomiting, diarrhea and severe stomach cramps. Went to Bluemed and we were immediately seen. I checked her in while they were starting to treat her. They asked for a credit card and charged $10,000 pesos as a deposit. She wad there for over 3 hours with multiple infusions for dehydration, had blood work done and given medication to combat parasites picked up from a local sushi restaurant. Sorry for so much detail bit making a point. Bill was under $5,200 pesos and she left feeling great. Even gave her a pair of Bluenet slippers! Would absolutely use them again. read more

BlueNet hospital is the best hospital I've been with. We went on a 7 days Mexican riviera cruise that all of a sudden I have difficulty breathing so we went to the ship hospital for check up, the doctor find out that my potassium is very high need immediate dialysis so they transported me to BlueNet Hospital which is very close to the port. Everybody in the hospital were ready to assist me, I was impressed for their services, so accommodating specially Dr. Edwardo Hernandez who was there for me everyday. special mention to Lilly from the Concierge department she is dependable, she make sure that we are comfortable and took care of my wife place to stay while I am in the hospital she was the first person to great you in the morning and ask if everything is ok. We want to say thank you to all the staff and management for the excellent job. Just got ripped off on a medication at their pharmacy. I called ahead and was told to come in to get the medication. When I got there, they gave it to me and charged me $1,000 pesos. I mentioned that the box shows $408 and they ignored me. I live in this area and will NEVER go to BlueNet again. I need the medication so paid and didn't realize it's supposed to be regulated by that number on the box. Don't go here - EVER. read more

JUST HORRIBLE! WORST HOSPITAL, EVER. YOU COULD DIE HERE! I arrived at the emergency room for a severe allergic reaction to a prescribed antibiotic--Symptoms included hives, vomiting, difficulty breathing, and fever, all of which set in within an hour of taking the medication. Before leaving for the hospital, I took a double dose of Benadryl to manage the allergy symptoms. Upon arrival, the ER nurse was rude, condescending, and told me that the hospital is for 'real' emergencies, and there is nothing they could do for me. Then after I explained to the ER nurse that this is a severe allergic reaction to medication, and that I took a double dose of Benadryl prior to arrival; she then focused her energy on saying that this is an overdose of Benadryl. So...I basically got severe allergy symptoms from Benadryl, an antihistamine...BEFORE I took the antihistamine??? (face palm) After seeing my high fever, they RELUCTANTLY decided to admit me. But now...my diagnosis is "overdosing on Benadryl" because I took 2 doses, remember? I'm finally seen by the doctor, who already heard the Nurse's diagnosis--thus biased, and continues to lecture me for my double dose of Benadryl. MEANWHILE...my allergic reaction to the antibiotic is progressing. I argued with her about the symptoms, and she changes her diagnosis to: "infection," thus, causing the fever--STILL ignoring severe allergy symptoms. I ended up staying the entire night without receiving any antihistamines, nor proper monitoring for severe antibiotic allergy symptoms. The next morning, they decide to discharge me, STILL without any treatment for my severe allergic reaction. By that time, the Benadryl was wearing off, so my face began to swell like an elephant. Once again...with clear SEVERE ALLERGY symptoms...the hospital discharged me, told me not to take anymore Benadryl, and sent me home. I was later diagnosed by my doctor with a severe allergy to sulfa drugs, and the next onset will likely cause anaphylaxis. My doctor was in disbelief at the hospital staff's ignorance, arrogance, and reluctance to recognize and treat severe allergy symptoms. Do not, by any circumstances, go to this hospital. Their tunnel-visioned, condescending, and ignorant staff will GET YOU KILLED. read more

I had a great experience here.. Took a bad fall on the ribs and was in serious pain a few days later after sleeping wrong. Went here in the morning and got treated with X-rays to ribs and lungs and all vitals checked... Very friendly English speaking staff Plenty of workers with 2 Doctors on site and told them I was in pain. I was seen by a Doctor in 5 minutes from entry. Didn't break any ribs but badly damaged the muscles around the ribs. Prescribed pain killers, anti-inflammatory pills, a massage cream, and printouts of Rehab exercises to do when pain goes away and healed up a bit, Was also suggested an immediate injection for the pain if I couldn't handle it... Doctors thoroughly explained the damage and showed me the X-rays and patiently walked me through the process. Was in and out in about 45 minutes. Pharmacy on site to fill your prescription immediately as well.. Already feeling better. A job well done here. Cabo resident read more

After calling out a Doctor from bluenethospital to our resort, my partner needed emergency treatment in the ER for what turned out to be flu and pneumonia - he could not have received a higher level of professional care anywhere in the world. Dr Rivas staff were exceptionally caring and thorough - everything from X-rays, bloodwork and treatment were provided quickly and efficiently. When my partner had to be admitted, his room was lovely, with a sleep on couch for me and an ensuite shower room. The hospital food was freshly made to order. They even organised a hospital driver to collect us and return us to our resort. If you ever get sick whilst in Cabo, this is the only hospital to goto. read more
