What good is a specialty veterinarian when the soonest appointment is more than 3 months out? Worthless...

We had an emergency last week where he was choking on some food, me being a helicopter mom freaked out after a solid ten mins of hacking and choking. We drove down the street quickly to Urban Village, the women was SO SWEET and came running out to check him as soon as pulled up. She acted as if it were her own pup and that's the care I love to see! He ended up being fine and did not have to be seen. We booked his gland express apt for here two weeks later simply because the customer service was great and they seem very attentive to care. Took him today & we were in and out within 15 mins! Rawling wasn't scared and was a happy boy when he came back outside. We will definitely be back!

The space itself and really cute and clean - I've never been to a vet clinic that was so design-y and pretty! When I brought my cat in for an initial visit (to have a bump looked at on her side), I was even offered water or coffee while I waited! I don't know about you, but that's never been the case at other vet clinics I've visited. The vet tech was very helpful and efficient. They used a laptop to get my information in the system, so I didn't have to sit there and fill out a bunch of paperwork, which was nice. Dr. Fruit was kind and attentive to my cat. I've had experiences with vets before where they kind of brush off your concerns, but that was definitely not the case with Dr. Fruit - she was great. We decided to go ahead with surgery to remove the bump, which I was nervous about because I've never had a pet need surgery before. But they answered all my questions and made me feel better about it. Dr. Rudwell actually did the surgery on my cat and she gave me the debrief after the surgery. I know vets always say to call with questions or concerns, but I really do feel comfortable calling them or sending them a picture of the stitches if I need to. Anyway, if you're like me and you're doing research to find the right vet for your pet, definitely add Urban Village to your list!

Like I am the person lobbying for a DB to track people who abandon/abuse animals with forced registration so that they can't ever adopt or have anything to do with animals again. Keep that in mind with reading this review. My mom knows how I am about my babies. I was recommended by her, an endowed chair at University of Louisville to take my animals to Barbour Lane Animal Hospital upon moving to Louisville. I only mention her position to say that she sees & talks to ALOT of people as part of her job. She told me that all the professors & students that have pets & they take them there as the Vets are amazing. People drive from South Louisville & downtown up to Barbour Lane Animal Hospital to get the best care for their fur babies. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Animal Hospital for sooooo many reasons: 1. The STAFF (front desk folks, techs, vets, and resident cats) are super friendly and it is clear from the minute you walk in that they CARE deeply about animals & their clients and are super passionate about what they do. 2. Both Vets are phenomenal. Dr. Mary O'Grady was who I saw first (although, I was told by many people they trust & love both vets so they book with either based on availability). This is so helpful & allows for more flexibility for those with busy schedules. 3. The way they schedule appointments is so efficient & personable. What I mean is that when you drive up you are the only one at that time. It is like a personal dedicated hospital (front desk, Vet time, and check out) for you & your pets. 4. The prices will not BREAK the bank and are soooo reasonable for the care & attention. I had put off professional vet brushing of my feline babies because I was petrified of them not waking up from the anesthesia; especially my older cats (not even being dramatic as I cancelled at other vets in TX multiple times). You can see I am a handful and full of anxiety. The staff here IMMEDIATELY gave me positive vibes & for the FIRST time in years, I let my felines "go under" for cleaning by Dr. O'Grady. They were patient (the amazing Tech & Dr. O'Grady) with me by explaining the expected process, timing, and after care...multiple times. They also called me the second the surgery / cleaning was over to inform me that my kitties were out & did amazing. They send you home with personalized instructions & personable notes about each animal. This is truly an amazing facility and we are so lucky to have them here in Louisville!!! Thank you Barbour Lane Animal Hospital! The reviews from our wonderful Yelp Community & client referrals speak for themselves on this amazing facility!! Trust all the positive reviews & you will not be dissapointed.

I came to Louisville back in March, and was nervous about finding the right person to help me care for my senior baby, whose health had been declining over the last 6-12 months. After consulting Yelp recommendations on local in-home veterinary care, I instantly connected with the energy of Heart's Ease. Both Dr. Bennett and her office manager Cori are kind, compassionate, patient and detail-oriented. From the first email, I felt like I mattered, and that it was their mission to ensure my girl got the best, most appropriate care possible. Even in those moments when I was scared, resistant or in deep denial, they were there to listen, guide and support me. I feel extremely lucky and grateful that Missy's last days were spent in the care of these loving beings. They made her transition as peaceful and painless as possible, and I honestly feel like it was divine intervention that I had the intuition to bring our family here so that Missy could have this end-of-life experience, as I'm not sure if we would have had the luxury of this level of care back home. If you're looking for in-home care for your loved one, I can recommend Heart's Ease with my whole heart.
