Fortunately, Lexington Diagnostic has options for patients like myself. I experienced "open MRI" that allowed me to have three sides unobstructed while I was in the machine. My technician was Meagan and she was extremely professional and even though the diagnostic center is very busy, she did not rush me or overlook my concerns about the process. I did have to wait past my appointment time, but not excessively long. Like I said, they are very busy but they seem to keep the flow of patients moving pretty well. I highly recommend them and if I have medical imaging needs in the future I will no doubt go here again.

Everyone here is always friendly and helpful when needed. My appointment was for 2:30 I arrived ten minutes early but had to wait until 3:00 pm. The room was full hand injuries must be a big business. I am a returning patient so that made things a little faster, no paperwork to fill out. The usual strength tests to check the severity of my occupational disability which seemed a little worse than the last time. Very good service, super nice atmosphere and people to deal with. A little disappointed that neither person who seen me introduced themselves nor had a ID badge that was visible to me.

Dr. Napolitano looked me dead in my face and told me nothing was wrong with my hand when you can physically see and feel a mass in-between my knuckles. Then told me I could seek a second opinion when I asked them to explain what we could see and feel on my hand. She just left the room without answering my questions. This place does not care about their patients. It's only about the money they can make off you. I got that second opinion and turns out I have rheumatoid arthritis and it was inflammation in my hand. I have had 3 steroid injections in it and just recently got the RA diagnosis. Go to UK hand clinic at Turfland instead of here you'll actually get taken care of.

I had questions, but the radiologist Dr. Shuffett would not call me. I gave up and decided to get a second opinion at St. Joseph East. I had another ultrasound guided biopsy at that facility on 11-2916. Before I left that day I had the report that the cyst in my breast was benign. By the way Baptist Health charged me over 11,000.00 for the biopsy performed in October ($8788.20 of that was for operating room services). I was in an exam room - no operating room involved. I am waiting for a detailed itemized bill to see exactly what I am being charged for. By the way, same services at St. Joseph East was less than $1500.00. If I could rate this facility lower than one star I certainly would. Not a place I will ever go again!

The one that performed my procedure was less than pleasant, but many other doctors have terrible communication skills too. My mother and I have the same abnormality and the other doctor who performed her second scope here was phenomenal. He explained that there is no cure except surgery. I'm not sure why the doctor who saw me didn't offer me surgery too, I guess I'll get it when I grow up. Before my procedure, they required that I pay $500 up front. I later learned that my insurance company paid everything except $50... that was a $1,750 surprise. I'm supposed to be getting $450 mailed back to me, but I had to call in order to request that. Hopefully, that $500 upfront requirement doesn't deter people away from getting the procedure that they too may need.

When it was evident current treatment was not working I called and as instructed left a message with the nurse. After three follow up calls and a week they finally called me back. I expressed my displeasure on the delay and told them I had stopped all meds for 2 days and restarted my normal meds less what they prescribed to see what change it would bring and told them I would give it ,2 weeks and if nothing changed I would contact them to go to a plan b as discussed prior. Once again no call back and finally called the front desk and she was the only one that made a follow up contact happen. They wanted to schedule me for an office visit and I was booked with work meetings. Then they said it would be a month out to come in. I told them why not just go to changing meds as discussed months prior and not let me continue to suffer in the interim? The response was that's the best we can do. I told them to have my records available then sent a follow up email and called the front desk to make sure my records were sent. After 4 days I called to follow up and the clinic did Nothing to release my records and only after calling the records department did I find out they had a form to fill out. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONCERN WITH THE WORST FOLLOW UP EVEN AFTER HAVING NEXT STEPS DISCUSSED AND REVIEWED MONTHS IN ADVANCE. STAY AWAY
