They advertise open MRI. but they don't have it. They say that broke down sever years ago and it…read morewas too expensive to repair. Doctors are recommending patients for an open MRI, patients go there or an MRI, and don't find out until they get there and given a gown that they don't have it. They ask the patient if they are claustrophobic and then tell them they don't have an open MRI. They have two machines - on that is smaller than a coffin, and a larger so they ask if you want to be put in feet first. I had a MRI and my doctor wanted one with contrast. He ordered it immediately and they kept making excuses about how it would take 28 days to get another one. My doctor faxed them, and finally called them; my insurance company contacted them and I called them. They said doctors depended too much on faxes and I know my doctor called because I kept tell them they wouldn't do it. I discovered that when 28 days had passed they could charge you again and they wouldn't do just the MRI with contrast but they did the other one first. They were able to charge $200 even thought I had paid $170 just 27 days earlier. They were waiting until they could charge for another MRI without out contrast (which I didn't need) and add the with contrast to it. I was very upset and would have walked out but I needed to get the one with contrast and my doctor had been waiting a month. I came away with the feeling of false advertising and feeling cheated because of the scheme to get paid twice.

My last scan literally took like 90 seconds. I was in and out in under 5 minutes but I believe this to be the exception and not the norm based on my previous experience. I highly recommend them and Central Baptist for your medical needs outside of your primary care.

Dr. Napolitano looked me dead in my face and told me nothing was wrong with my hand when you can physically see and feel a mass in-between my knuckles. Then told me I could seek a second opinion when I asked them to explain what we could see and feel on my hand. She just left the room without answering my questions. This place does not care about their patients. It's only about the money they can make off you. I got that second opinion and turns out I have rheumatoid arthritis and it was inflammation in my hand. I have had 3 steroid injections in it and just recently got the RA diagnosis. Go to UK hand clinic at Turfland instead of here you'll actually get taken care of.

The room was full hand injuries must be a big business. I am a returning patient so that made things a little faster, no paperwork to fill out. The usual strength tests to check the severity of my occupational disability which seemed a little worse than the last time. Very good service, super nice atmosphere and people to deal with. A little disappointed that neither person who seen me introduced themselves nor had a ID badge that was visible to me.

I had questions, but the radiologist Dr. Shuffett would not call me. I gave up and decided to get a second opinion at St. Joseph East. I had another ultrasound guided biopsy at that facility on 11-2916. Before I left that day I had the report that the cyst in my breast was benign. By the way Baptist Health charged me over 11,000.00 for the biopsy performed in October ($8788.20 of that was for operating room services). I was in an exam room - no operating room involved. I am waiting for a detailed itemized bill to see exactly what I am being charged for. By the way, same services at St. Joseph East was less than $1500.00. If I could rate this facility lower than one star I certainly would. Not a place I will ever go again!

I had Dr. Rae and Dr. Knopp complete both procedures and they were great, the office staff not so much. I had to call their office 3x to finally get an appointment set up. I even spoke to a person the 2nd time and she took down all my info. and said they would need to coodinate the fact that two doctors would need to be avaiable to perform both procedures on the same day. She told me they would call me back and I knew it wouldn't be the same day. I said okay great and a week went by. I decided after a whole week to call back again and no one knew anything about it!! Then received a letter from their office Mgr. that read they had made several attempts to contact me. When and who tried is my question? Are they kidding... because all the calls in my phone records show outgoing calls to them, none coming in! The third time I called I finally reached someone that made things happen, she even said I think you've waited long enough and emailed my prep instructions the same day. I'll also note it's like a factory line, fast paced once your taken to the back they go over health questions and set up your IV, etc... After that it's smooth sailing. Good luck with their CRAPPY (pun intended) office staff.
