As soon as we walked in we were greeted and prompted as to what color we would like. Immediately after, our artists walked us to our stations and begin quickly. The services were AMAZING. Ok this spa is lovely, and is very relaxing in appearance... And I really wanted to love it. However, their gel manicures last a mere 3 days before cracking and discoloring. Do not get a gel manicure here! I had been here once before when I was visiting GA. I got a French gel manicure. 2 days later, the white on the tips turned completely brown. I've gotten many gel manicures with French and this has never occurred. Very disappointed, because it seems this happens a lot to them and they don't warn their customers. You're paying $35 for something to last 3 days, only to have to get it taken off and redone all over again. Not on my watch. About a year or so later, I moved here. My friend wanted to come to Bluegrass so I thought I would give it another try, hoping it was just a fluke. Once again, I paid $35 for a French gel manicure, and sure enough, 2.5 days later... It looked awful! Brown, smudged, cracking. What in the world did I just pay for?? I went back to the salon to show it to them, and they said they would redo it for me. They told me to pick another color bc they said the discoloration happens a lot with the French manicures. Once again, why didn't they warn me about this before? I picked a pretty light pink, hesitantly, fearing the same thing would somehow happen. 3 days later, like clockwork, my beautiful light pink gel manicure started cracking. Completely ruined the manicure. I took it off myself at home, and didn't bother going back. I went back ONE final time to just do a regular mani/pedi, because I was done paying money for a 3 day gel manicure. I requested hot water in my foot tub. The water was freezing. I asked the gentleman if he could please add hot water.. He said it would take a few minutes. 10 min later, still soaking in freezing water, I asked him again what was going on. He finally informed me that they had run out of hot water. NOT RELAXING at all. My manicure lasted 2 days and started cracking... Which has never happened in my life except at bluegrass. They should be offered us money back because of the freezing foot soak. It is disappointing after giving them all of these chances that I still have yet to have a good lasting manicure. For a salon so beautiful, I'm surprised they don't do a better job. Looking for a nail salon that really cares about the quality and experience of its customers. read more

It's very clean, very well-kept, and does not smell aggressively like nail polish paint. The only downside is the techs are not great-- they do a good job with paint, but their ability to shape and file nails leaves something to be wished for. read more

Bluegrass has a good reputation with a lot of Milton/Alpharetta residents. I got a deluxe pedicure today today and I'm a bit disappointed. I have polish on the cuticles of most of my toes. The technician cut my pinky nail so short that there really isn't any nail left. She used cuticle clippers to trim my nails instead of nail clippers. She was very nice, but the results were not what was expected. read more

I'm leaving another review because this business deserves it! I had been going to another salon, where the owner was doing my nails. I was very pleased and sent this salon A LOT of business, so much business that the owner would do additional services like my waxing for free. Then the salon moved to a much larger space, expanding their business without having sufficient manpower to run it properly. I would make appointments and still end up waiting 30-40 mins. The owner would put me with another tech, I was not satisfied with their work. I have since made Bluegrass my salon of choice! Christie does my nails and she's fantastic! I'm very particular about my nails, and she does an awesome job! I certainly don't mind paying a little more for phenomenal service and beautiful surroundings. I love this place! read more

By the other reviews, I see that if you aren't a returning customer, they don't really care too much. I was taken here by my best friend as a birthday surprise. It seemed nice enough, and cost well over $200. We had booked an appointment for pedicures. All of the sudden, we were thrown into manicures as well. My friend figured, "what the heck!", it was something special for me anyways. I, personally, have no nails, so I knew it was going to be more painful than enjoyable. I did not really pay too much attention to my nails, as I was watching the other woman soak up the blood from my toe from where she cut too deep or something. I'm not one to complain, so I just sat there. HUGE mistake. I should have stopped them then. I wake up the next day with a swollen finger. I tried to ignore it and pretend maybe I just hit it or something, but now, it is swollen, purple, and extremely infected. I called them, I'm not sure why, just to make them aware maybe. They told me to come in (take in mind, I live over 45 minutes away) and they would look at it and refund my service. When I went in there, I was made look like a complete idiot. Trying to tell me that something must have bit me, and that's the only reason for it. "You see the bite mark?" ... "Um no, that's puss... When you squeeze it, that's where it tries to come out." Again with the no no no, it's just a bite. Own up to your mistakes. I didn't expect to get anything, just to let them know what had happened. This place sucks. It's pretty, but if I'm going to spend that much money, I'd rather not be in pain for 3 days after. read more

I haven't been here in a while because I really can not deal with the smell and I thought they were expensive. Since they are literally walking distance from my house I went for the convenience today. I was disappointed the girl that worked on me was not friendly and when she asked me how did my French pedicure look I told her my left toe was not as even and contoured as the right toe. This girl acted as if I was bothering her when I asked her to do her job. She was also very rough with my feet and she just wasn't friendly at all! Needless to say I will not be back I will just make the ride to IWI Fresh Garden Day Spa in Atlanta like I normally do but I was in a crunch, going out of town in the morning. I love this nail salon! It is my favorite place to have my nails done in all of Alpharetta and Cumming. It is clean and modern. My nails always turn out great! The reason I am giving this salon a four instead of five is simply because whenever I request a pedicure and manicure, two nail techs work at the same time. This is very uncomfortable! I would like to relax while getting a pedicure; however, at this salon I have to move my hands and arms and shift in my seat so that one tech can work on my hands while the other works on my feet. read more

The gel manicures are well done and they do not peel, AND they also don't destroy your nails taking the polish off. My boyfriend purchased a full body package for me on my birthday. Hannah was my massage therapist and she was wonderful and nice. It was my first time and she understood. My massage was great! Yes the music did stop but I was there to be pampered and they weren't my favorite songs anyway. I ended with a pedicure and eyebrow wax that was excellent. Beautiful Salon! I was given a gift certificate and decided to come check this place out. It is located next to 'Cue BBQ. Parking can be a little tight, especially at peak lunch and dinners hours, but there is an additional flat lot behind the building. This salon offers a lot of services: nails, facials, massages, ear candling, waxing, & eyelash extensions. I decided to try their 60 minute Swedish Massage for $75. The spa rooms are located in the far left of the building in a separate area. The rooms were dimly lit, clean, & had nice, soothing music playing. My masseuse was Wei and she was great. She had firm pressure and worked hard to massage out all the knots in my back. The only thing that I did not enjoy was that even though this was a full body massage, my hands and feet did not get touched. I really enjoy foot massages, so I was pretty bummed that this was not included. Maybe those are considered add ons to massage? All in all, I felt very relaxed after and really enjoyed my experience. read more

I live in Southern California, where everything is more expensive. BUT today Bluegrass won the most expensive trophy. $30 for an acrylic fill was reasonable. BUT $20 extra for gel polish is CRAZY! I could buy 2 bottles of gel polish for $20. In fact, I brought my own colored gel polish with me. So the $20 extra was for their gel top coat and 3 minutes of the drying light. That's absurd! They have a designated Men's area so I didn't feel awkward. One of the best pedicures I've had and my facial made me feel rejuvenated.
