I loved the all-white color palette, which included the buildings, walking trails, and obviously, the hammocks; which was complemented by the luscious green vegetation. In addition, I loved the many places that you could stop and sit, which consisted of benches, tables, and chairs, as well as a beautiful gazebo. Finally, there were so many cool shops that sold a variety of miscellaneous items, as well as a restaurant that I wish I could have gotten to eat at. All-in-all, I loved the Hammock Shops, and would consider it a must-visit while you're in Pawleys!

IF YOUR A PERSON OF COLOR OR HISPANIC I WOULD THINK TWICE GOING INTO THE SHOPS :(…read more I am never one to feel unwelcomed in a space as I am a pretty friendly person. It was a nice day and I decided that it would be a great place to have a date day and walk around with my lovely boyfriend, as I have had many people tell me how wonderful the shops are. They were right the shops were very cute and had lots of cool gifts that I would definetly go back and buy; to start my Christmas shopping. However, in each store the staff were rude, even if we were inquiring about prices of cased items, (we are a young couple so I can understand thinking we may have not brought enough cash or may not have the money but goodness me.) We were also followed around the entire time and "pestered" asking if we needed help or looking for something in particular. This would have been fine but after the 3+ times it got old fast. (I even said this is our first time here and we are just looking around). I want to also put out that no one else was treated like this in the store, (they weren't going up and asking them if they needed help and didn't even speak to other customers) it felt targeted and I started to feel mildly uncomfortable. It may not have been about the color of our skin, maybe it was our age or something. This was the first time in a long time that I have felt like that and I don't think that I would go back :(

While browsing, they have plenty of options from nonfiction to fantasy to local history. Once I saw that they had all of Sarah J Mass' collections, I knew they had good taste. ;) They currently have a cart outside with FREE advance reader copies of novels being released soon, so I grabbed a thriller to check out! The employees are so friendly and welcoming, willing to help you find whatever kind of book you need! I've stopped here before on my drives through town, and I will continue to stop! Last time, I got a signed copy of a Mary Kay Andrews book! She had recently had a book signing. There are plenty of local authors and some well known ones who hold events here, so I look forward to trying to attend one soon!

I have used this florist intermittently over past few years. Most recently went in two days before…read moreValentine's Day and asked for "something spectacular". It was spectacular. Flowers still opening, wonderful scent filling the room, flowers in excellent shape five days later. My wife is thrilled. Was pricey at $140 delivered Saturday am but minimal price delivered I found while shopping around was $100 for less than spectacular for something my wife would like. Furthermore they left flowers on front porch and then called to make sure we got them, nice touch. The owner is extremely sweet, very helpful and kind. Wanted to know my wife's fav colors, took extra time to make sure we would be happy. I was initially concerned by some of the negative reviews, important to remember that sometimes people are unreasonable and/or cranky and unfortunately those are often the sort of people who leave negative reviews.
