While we were staying in Olympia, I developed some pretty bad allergies, after all, WA and AZ are VERY different. My symptoms got so bad that I couldn't breathe through my nose at all. Not wanting to send me to a doctor and pump me full of synthetic and harmful drugs, the husband found out about Chinese Medicine, and that led us Susan Monaco. I decided to try out this Chinese Medicine stuff and I was feeling pretty positive because I know the powers of natural healing. I met with her for an herbal consultation and after a chat with me about my symptoms and my medical history along with a pulse check and a tongue check, I was on my way with a weeks worth of herbs to mix with hot water. I will not lie, these herbs were the nastiest things I have ever tasted. It was truly awful. However, after two weeks of using them I watched my allergy symptoms almost disappear. An herbal consultation will run you 35 dollars, cash or check, and the herbs, a week's worth, will cost between 15-20 dollars. They also have acupuncture available, but I did not partake in that procedure. If any of you Olympians are feeling not well and would like an alternative approach to your health care, do not hesitate to give Susan Monaco a call.

Gary is very knowledgeable and communicates well with passion, ease and understanding. He also makes me feel extremely comfortable. Dr Diana suggested this form of massage mostly for my abdominal pain and low back pain. I think it is exactly the right solution for the scar tissue resulting from cesarean problems. And if you don't know about Myofascia Release yet, you should go find out (: I am tired of getting no answers from elsewhere, and happy to find Heart of Wellness! I look forward to my next visit with Dr Diana. Though in my initial one, she was very helpful and really listened to my concerns and offered some insight that no other doctor has ever mentioned. She made some simple suggestions to me and the recommendation for Gary and I am so very thankful! Thank you Gary and Dr Diana!!!

I've dealt with debilitating back pain since an occupational injury that required surgery. I can…read morenow speak as someone who as tried both Eastern and Western approaches to dealing with this back injury. The Western approach - addictive pain pills, NSAID that destroys your guts, muscle relaxers that make me loopy. The result was always the same - the pain is masked but the underlying cause remains. I have dealt with this for nearly 4 years. When my back goes out I get lumbar shift - my entire upper torso shifts to the side and I have horrible nerve pain. It completely alters my life and limits what I can and can't do. At barely over 40 - this completely sucks. I have gotten so used to having my back go out and losing another weekend to back pain. I end up missing on real quality of life time like time spent with my family. I had my first appointment booked on a Friday. As luck would have it, my back was completely out before the appointment. I was depressed that I would be spending another weekend suffering this injury. I showed up for my appointment and something happened that completely changed my outlook on care. ONE SESSION AND I WAS COMPLETELY FIXED. I couldn't believe it - how many years had I spent losing out on entire weekends when I could have just spent ONE HOUR at Silver River. I've been lucky enough to continue to have appointments and I'm amazed. I had no idea if accupuncture would work - and i can now assure you it most certainly does. E-San at Silver River I look forward to every month. It's an hour of peace and zen and I have felt the surges of Qi energy released from the treatment I receive at my sessions. I really can't say enough about E-San and Silver River. She changed my life! I wish I would have gone in sooner but I'm just glad I finally found her. Top notch care and an awesome person too. I usually go into her building tense with sore shoulders and knots in my neck and shoulders. She works her magic and I walk out feeling like completely relaxed and LOOSE. It's amazing. I hardly ever leave reviews, but E-San and Silver River deserve all the praise I can offer. Literally life-changing relief. Do yourself a favor and book your treatment here!

I've been to her for acupuncture and herbs for about 5 visits so far and I feel so much better. Even after the first visit I felt a big improvement. At first I went once a week (my choice) then we'll be switching to every other week. She is the opposite of pushy, very mellow, so you pick if you want to come back in one week or two. I went to her for fatigue, stress, intestinal issues, etc. which is all greatly reduced now but I want to keep going to build even more of a sense of strength, stamina, and joy. Furthermore she even knows naturopath stuff like ordering blood tests, evaluating ones you've already gotten, food alergies & reactivities, food/diet suggestions, etc. I feel like she's my one stop shop for all my needs due to the fact that she's super knowledgeable w/eastern medicine but also definitely enough western medicine too.
