OK guys this is a GREAT NEW PLACE! I think I'm in love! Best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Everything I had was on point. For apps I got the KFC and dumplings with a lemonade galaxy drink, delicious! For dinner, Galbi Steak Ban-Sang which was cooked to perfection. Everything was fantastic, Steak was mouthwatering marinated and was so tender,smokey and spicy and the KFC was sweet and crunchy. Dumplings were light and full of flavor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The interior of the restaurant was clean and with a very sleek setup. They are following all covid-19 regulations so everyone feels comfortable. From start to finish, we received lovely service from such attentive and patient employees. I ordered the Akiko Curry Chicken with a Galaxy Lemonade and my partner ordered the Volcano Kimchi Fried Rice (which a worker artfully finished cooking on a hot plate in front of us) with a Korean Latte Boba. All amazing. For such large portions, it was also reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Great choices and everything was good. We got dumplings (one of each) and the Bao buns (one of each)- I love having that option to try them all. We also got the glass noodles. The table next to us got Market Ramyun and Volcano Kimchi Fried Rice, both looked really good. I'd like to try those next time. 5 stars for appearance, store front, and wait staff. 1 star for the food. The food is edible but that's pretty much it. Order fried chicken dishes but the cutlet was dry and zero crisp/ crunch. The curry was the weirdest I've ever had. Same the bibimbap was ok portion is adequately portioned, by the meat was dry and didn't taste fresh. And for the prices listed you'd expect a little more attention to detail but unfortunately not. Small place in a strip mall outside of Walden/Carlton Village. Nicely done in a minimalist style, inside. "Sit wherever you'd like" was the greeting of the day. There were a few booths on one wall, tables in the middle, and a long banquette along the other wall. We slid in and waited for the menus. Decided on Edamame and some tempura to start. Both were decent. My wife got the $26 Salmon with rice and "cheese-corn." Salmon was good. Rice was good. Cheese-corn was good- just not what you'd expect in an Asian-Fusion place, ha ha! The south-west undertones continued with the pile of Guacamole on the side of my $26 Bao sandwiches. Four small Bao's one of each: Tofu, Pork, Beef, and Shrimp. The shrimp were strictly "ehhhhh" while the surprise of the night was the Sweet Thai chili tofu. If I ever wind up in the Blue Spice Kitchen again, I'll order 4 of them... crispy, crunchy, drenched in sweet Thai chili sauce. I'll never think of tofu in the same way, again. I've been in LOVE with Blue Spice since they opened. Here's my list of reasons why - It's never crowded with a lot of people so it's nice and quiet and the decor brings chill vibes. Despite the prices the food is worth every dime. It taste fresh and my dinner portions are large. The soups and seaweed salad is a must! Personally, my favorite is their signature drinks! This is our second time eating at Blue Spice. Last time we picked it up, today we ate at the restaurant. Let me tell you, this food does NOT disappoint. This isn't greasy, Americanized Chinese food that you order by number. This is amazing, fresh and flavorful Asian food. My husband is the pickiest PITA when it comes to food, nothing is ever up to his standard. Well this is the second time he's ordered their steak and just like last time, he's RAVING. Absolutely loved it. My kiddos loved their fried rice. The bao buns were great and so was the boba tea (the delightful waitress Sala said the Taro boba tasted like a piece of cake and she was spot on). But listen, the absolute best thing on this menu is their Korean Fried Rice. It's so crispy, we were like ravenous wolves fighting over the last few scraps. Next time I go I might honestly just order two plates of those and call it a meal. Bottom line is Sussex County was overdue a high quality restaurant and now it has one. Such a wonderful surprise gem!! We had a sampling mix because we were so hungry. The KFC IS LIGHT, crispy with just the right heat from the sauce. The dumplings (mixed) were fried perfection. I sampled the kale and vegetable, so yummy. The Kim cheese is a must try. Wasn't sure at first, but it is a great flavor combination! For entrees- bao buns did not disappoint, the bulgogi was perfectly cooked and the rice was perfectly sticky. To round out the night, the box of dreams was a fun sampling of flavors, textures and tastes. Blue Spice is a cute little restaurant with delicious food. The Yuzu lemonade is excellent, the Japanese fried chicken is good and the curry dish I had was delicious. The only gripe I have with it is the portions. They are small. My husband had the bao dinner-and for 27$ he got 4 bao buns and a tiny ramekin of sliced cucumber salad. He wasn't full , so I saved him half of my curry, even though I could have easily finished it. The food was great,just wish there was more of it. read more

The hidden gem right in Sussex County. I was so surprised to see Korean cuisine here in this part of Sussex. My girlfriend and I constantly drive to Morris County or even Essex to satisfy Bulgogi and ramen cravings. The service is amazing, the food is great. Very surprised to find this quality in Sussex County. I had the Roasted Pork plate, it was delicious. Just the right amount of spiciness and touch of pork sweetness. Event he Kimchi which I was afraid of complimented the meal. The fried dumplings were good too. The Hibiscus unsweatened Iced tea was a nice change of pace. My kids had the Fried chicken cutlet, we liked it but I could see if your used to a plump chicken breast why this flattened fried piece would not be to your taste.
