I hired A Cut Above in April 2026 for their Premium Lawn Care Plan at $481/month to maintain my…read morelate parents' home in Pensacola while it was on the market. The plan includes per-visit weed control, bed maintenance, string trimming, and edging. By August, neighbors sent me photos: grass growing up through the fence pickets, no edging along the walks, and beds full of mature, seeded-out weeds. All of that is work the plan covers on every visit. This wasn't a missed week. It was weeks of mow-and-go while I was billed for full service. What happened when I raised it is the real reason for this review: - Aug 11: Emailed photos. Got an apology within minutes and a promise of a site visit that Thursday. No one came. - Aug 14: Emailed to ask if the visit happened. No response. - Called and left a voicemail. Someone called back and promised it would be handled by Monday. Monday came and went. - It took a fourth contact before a crew finally came out and did the work properly, two weeks after my first complaint. No credit, no discount, no acknowledgment for months of substandard service. When I cancelled at closing, I was charged another ~$120 to close out the account. When a crew finally came out, they did what the plan required, and everyone I spoke with was polite. But polite promises that don't happen aren't service. If you can't be on-site to check the work yourself, I'd think twice.

I would like to share yesterday's experience with all of you…read more..... After all the rain we have had, a 40 yr. old tree in my front yard fell over on my roof and landed on my Gulf Power lines and the Cox Cable lines......I had called both Gulf Power and Cox Cable to see if they would do anything but the answer was no.....So I began hunting a good and reasonable Tree Service Company......I checked on Angie's List and Yelp and anywhere else I could think to find someone reputable and reasonable to come out and give me an estimate..... Several companies came out and called me with estimates that I just couldn't afford.... Then I found Ken's Yard and Tree Service in Pensacola.....Ken came out and called me with his estimate.....It was perfect! So I hired them....Ken and two other guys came out at 12:45pm yesterday and these three guys worked their fingers to the bone! They trimmed my tree, like I asked, took all the branches off way away from my lines, went above and beyond, they loaded all the branches and wood out next to the road so the county can pick it up today, one guy even raked that whole side of the yard, another guy went outside where the branches and wood were next to the road and cut those pieces up into smaller sizes......I was never soooo impressed.... I gave them each a cold drink because it was sooo bloody hot out there....You would have thought I had given them each $100.00 as they were so grateful for that!! I am writing this because I want to let everyone here in Pensacola know that if you need a Tree Service company, I can highly recommend that you call this company......They are Excellent, Lowest price, Very Experienced and more!!! I definitely won't forget them and will be calling them in the future when I need assistance with my trees! I cannot say enough good things about this company! I am extremely happy with the final results…read more The owner (Wallace Duncan) personally came out to give the estimate. He matched the color of the gutters to be installed to what would best match our trim and gave an extremely reasonable estimate. He and his team were out in a matter of a week or so to get them installed. They were efficient and had them up in no time. There were downspouts placed on all four corners of the house. Unfortunately one of them was along our bedroom wall and it seemed quite noisy whenever it rained. We called Wallace and he gave a couple options and came back and moved it to a better location. It is raining for the first time tonight since having the downspout moved and we could not be more pleased. There is no leaking where it used to be and the new location is perfect. I would Highly recommend this company for your home of business! They were excellent across the board!

These guys are awesome!!!…read more We needed two large oak trees removed from a confined space in our backyard, and we needed it done within two weeks, due to construction being completed. We received several quotes from different tree companies. They all were unable to complete the job by the time we needed it completed, and most of them said the job, once started, would take them a few days to complete. Sam not only said he could complete the job by the time we needed it, but squeezed us in a week ahead of schedule, AND gave us a better price than the other companies. Sam and his crew showed up exactly when they said they would, and did an outstanding job. Their equipment did not damage our yard, and they left the yard cleaner than before. Oh yeah.... and it only took them six hours to complete the job. Could not be happier with the service we received!!!!
