Visited Canton Urgent Care on 1/6/26 was only patient there. Took over an hour sitting and waiting…read more No Dr on staff, just a nurse practitioner. The only testing was for strep throat. Told me I had the common cold. Gave me prescription for Pearl cough pills. Got my bill and was charged $1,047.56. Charged $393.19 for a new patient. Ridiculous most expensive non helping place. Do Not Go Here.

She's on your left. 88 Shot Glass Lane. She fell in her driveway imitating Icarus." (Scene of Amy S____ falling to ground inside giant, yellow tent after bellowing man touches her knee. Amy S____ is then seen hobbling from the tent after stating that the laceration was still present. She is later spotted at Urgent Care Canton, also known as Urgent Care East.) So, for some reason unknown to me, we bypass the Waynesville location and come to this UC. That is fine by me. This location is excellent. First off, you can call first with any question you have. Everyone at this location is very nice. You never wait long enough to start humming songs by Tom Petty, Kansas, or The Dismemberment Plan that befit your nervous, seated presence. Really- it is never super busy here. Seems like most peeps are still heading for ERs. Take advantage of that if you are able to. It will save you money. You can go into private exam rooms with anxious people as long as you are not a patient yourself. But ask first. Very close to closing time, no one is allowed to hang out in the waiting area. Safety is valued here. So is cleanliness. The doctors, PA-Cs, and their helpers are great. They all have knowledge and personality, which is hard to come by these days. They are busy, but not too busy to be human. I like 'em! Follow-ups are done here. Insurance or no insurance is fine. They give you details. You leave with verbal and printed instructions. Hours are everyday; 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Get off of I-40 North at Exit 31 for care and compassion. Did you know... ...that if you corner a wolf, it will bite your hands and feet first? ...that the song "Comfortably Numb" was inspired by Philadelphian stomach cramps? ...that while rare, strep throat can lead to acute kidney failure? ...that skin oil can be turned into soap if you just add bleach? ...that it is best to not remove a wet suit off of a person who has been bitten by a shark? ...that in 1983 Dr. C____, a friend of my Great Uncle Burt, tried to save his life with an unnecessary operation so he would not have to testify against corrupt Center City, Philadelphia policemen?

I LOVE Dr. Causby and her assistants in both the Clyde and Waynesville offices; however, the…read moreoptical shop at both locations has been extremely disappointing. They REFUSED to give me my P.D. (pupillary distance) even though it would not require any additional work for them to do so since I have purchased eyeglasses from them twice in the past and over-paid by about 50%. I was told twice that they couldn't give it to me because it was not part of my prescription and Mountain Eye could be held liable if glasses I bought somewhere else used the wrong PD. RIDICULOUS!!! Under that logic, I guess they would be liable if somewhere else used the wrong prescription. Don't insult my intelligence. Just tell me you can't give it to me because you don't want me to get my glasses made somewhere else.

My experience with the Dr. Hartzwell was great, I am sorry that part of his staff (not all of them)…read moreare not up to the same level as him. Prior to making the appointment for myself I asked if my insurance was accepted. I asked "Do you take Cigna Ins.?" The response was "yes" so I proceeded to make the appointment. The day of of my appointments I gave my Cigna Eye card and then was asked for my Cigna medical card as well, which I gave to them. I was charged my copay and I proceeded to see the doctor. It wasn't until AFTER I was fitted for glasses I was advised "we don't file your insurance for glasses." I thought this was odd but proceeded with purchasing my glasses, I need them and had already gone through the whole process. I called Cigna Eye to inquire how to send in my information to be reimbursed and was advised that the office should not have charged a copay. I was advised that I have no copay for eye care and that the office must have used my Cigna Medical Ins., which was incorrect bc there was no medical diagnosis. About a week later received the call that my glasses were ready. I picked them up and paid the balance. At check out I told the office employee, that was working with me, of THEIR error only to be advised that they don't take Cigna......I reminded them that I had asked prior to making appointment and then I was advised "well we take Cigna Medical not Cigna EYE." Okay, note to self, so I then proceed to say that perhaps in the future when someone calls and asks "do you take Cigna" they should be more specific since they do actually take one Cigna but not the other. Two other employees decided to take part in telling me how bc they don't take Cigna Eye it wasn't their fault (in so many words) and I had to repeat several times that I was only suggesting that they be more specific when someone calls to inquiring if they take "Cigna". Seriously I don't think it is too far of a stretch to make the assumption when calling an EYE doctor that asking if the take Cigna it's implied as Cigna EYE!! I was shocked and surprised at the attitude of "oh well totally your fault" that I received from the staff. I was only trying to be helpful in order to stop this type of thing happening to someone else in the future. A simple "So sorry for the confusion" would have been nice BUT no they actually had to argue with me!! It might do them so good to realize that this incident could be looked upon as a "bait and switch" move that is actually illegal!
