I highly recommend TCM Healing Center for fertility along with general health issues. Wear a loose…read moretop, shorts, slip on shoes. A visit lasts 1 hour, and meter parking is in front or free on the side streets. They accept credit cards and the entire staff is always comforting and professional. A friend recommended Dr. Jing after multiple MCs. After acupuncture and herbal tea, she gave birth naturally at 40. Upon research, Dr. Jing used to be an OBGYN in Beijing before moving to the US and is now a Professor of TCM at multiple colleges. The doctors here are familiar with IVF clinics and practice and offer valuable insight throughout. I've been coming here on a weekly basis (sometimes bi-weekly) since June 2018. My regimen was to drink a daily herbal tea & weekly acupuncture to combat endometriosis and get pregnant. 9/10 times I fall asleep with the needles in my face, scalp, neck, hand, stomach, legs, and feet. I switched to Dr. Lim due to the cost per visit as it's been over 1 year of treatment. I can say with confidence that all of the doctors are professional and kind. After 14 months, 1 laparoscopy and 2 egg retrievals and 2 FETs, I am now pregnant at age 38. I also saw Dr. Hart for cupping when I came down with a cold/flu. I highly recommend the yellow travel pills at the onset of getting sick. They totally work at preventing full blown illness, and I recovered much faster than usual with less phlegm/mucus and zero downtime. I have only gotten semi-sick one time since beginning treatment here. I believe that TCM currently accepts Blue Shield of CA PPO Silver and above. TCM will gladly provider a superbill for other providers, but expect to be denied by ASH. I also saw certain A list actors here on occasion so if it's good enough for them...it's surely good for me too!

I'm writing this with great disappointment because when I first started seeing Dr. Miao at TCM, I…read morewas very pleased with the care and experience I received. The office staff is very polite and pleasant, too. My doula highly recommended them to help induce labor because my husband and I were set on having a home birth and hoped to avoid reaching 42 weeks and needing to give birth in a hospital. We saw her three times, and labor did not start, despite also trying other natural induction methods. We assumed it was because my baby and body weren't ready yet, and that it had nothing to do with the acupuncture care I was receiving. At the time of this appointment, I was approximately 41 weeks and 3-5 days pregnant, depending on which medical professional's due date we used. Our maternal-fetal medicine specialist had told us that the baby was healthy and that the assessments--including amniotic fluid, non-stress testing, umbilical cord blood flow, and estimated weight--were all normal. Our midwife felt confident recommending additional natural induction methods and believed electroacupuncture and leave-in press tacks could be highly effective at this point in the pregnancy. When I saw Dr. Miao, I asked for those specific treatments. She refused to do the leave-in press tacks because, in her opinion, they weren't necessary. She also kept urging me to go to the hospital for the birth because I was past my due date, even though our care plan allowed for continued monitoring and a home birth before 42 weeks. I tried to explain that our midwife would not deliver the baby at home if I reached 42 weeks and would insist on transferring care to the hospital, as that is medical standard care for midwifery. That was already our backup plan. There is also a hospital approximately a mile from our home; all of this was accounted for in our birth plan. Also, many women that I've met during my pregnancy gave birth exactly at 42 weeks because that's when their baby was ready to come into the world. She went on to explain that the baby was continuing to gain weight, that there wouldn't be enough space for him to move around, and that, given my size, it could be dangerous for both of us. She also said that being too big could cause health problems for him later in life; however, those statements were particularly upsetting to me. My brother was born weighing 9 pounds, and my understanding is that C-section delivered him because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, not because he was too big. He is now 34 and has no health issues. My friend's older brother was born vaginally, weighing 10 pounds, and has no known health issues in his mid-30s as well; his mother is also quite small. Though there may be evidence to support what she is saying, based on these experiences, her comments about size and future health do not mean that it will happen to my baby. Under the plan established with our birth team, I still had approximately 2-4 days to continue trying to encourage labor naturally and deliver at home before transferring to hospital care if necessary. I kept gently insisting on the leave-in press tacks, but she kept refusing and told me to get on the table. Part of me thought I should leave and find another acupuncturist, but I went ahead and lay on the table for the electroacupuncture treatment, which was fine. But still, the end of the session ended with her urging me to go to the hospital if I had not given birth by the end of the week, and again, this is already in our birth plan, but she would not listen to me. However, what felt to me like fear-mongering and overstepping--when we already had specialist monitoring, a midwife overseeing our care, and a hospital backup plan--was unnecessary and left a bad taste in my mouth. I promptly let my midwife know what had happened, and she recommended another acupuncturist in our area, who was an OB in China, and specializes in fertility, prenatal, and postnatal care. After speaking with him about what I needed and how far along I was, he said he could provide the treatments we were seeking. My husband and I paid over $8,000 to have a home birth, so of course, we're going to follow our midwife's advice, who has over 15 years of experience overseeing prenatal care and delivering babies, and we're doing everything in our control to ensure it happens. Still, we're also very mindful that if we reach past the medical standard of 42 weeks, a hospital birth will be necessary. It wasn't right that, as an expecting mother who had thoroughly researched and discussed with her family and birth team a detailed plan for the birth of our baby only to be filled with fear, dread, and told to get on a table, rather than receive care and support, by an acupuncturist and pay $120 for the treatment and experience. I take responsibility for not leaving immediately and finding someone else who was willing to help. It would have been better if she had politely declined my request.

I don't usually waste my time to write a review unless I want to complain something…read more However, this literally is the first time I intend to give a GOOD review with FIVE STARS. I had never believed in Chinese herbs or Chinese Traditional treatments since you barely see the results in a short of time------Everyone wants the fastest results. I have never been sleeping well since I was a child. I didn't even have a plan to sleep regularly, and this made my health condition terribly horrible. I could sleep from 5am, 7am 11am, 1pm anytime that you can come up with but not the correct time which should be around 10-12pm. Bad sleeping visually took me on the path to MADNESS. I can be so mad and angry with any little things happened during the day. Many of my good friends left due to my bad temper, and they recommended me to see a doctor. I never feel like my brain is waken up anytime during the day, I'm tired of doing everything, and I feel sleepy during the day and I'm so excited at night. No matter what I just cannot fall asleep at night by 4am. I don't like say but I have diabetes at the same time so it makes the curing more difficult. Also, I have been training with trainers in the gym over 6 years, but i didn't get any results. I controlled my diet and I workout regularly but nothing happened. Doctor Lin changed my life and lifestyle, and she made me completely refresh in every way. After consulting with her for like an hour and half long, she explained me everything that my body is experiencing. Once you talk with her you will understand that she really loves her job as a doctor. She's not trying to lie to you telling you a worse situation so she can take advantage from you and ask you for more sessions and purchase the medicine and herbs. She, it's more like your personal doctor that you can trust. After finishing the consulting, she just asks me to do little step by step starting with going to the bed earlier, and she persuades me that any terrible things happening is due to my bad lifestyle especially for sleeping. Also, she didn't ask me to purchase any herbs or medicine from her instead she asked me to go to whole food to get some stuffs like tremella which can help me better dealing with my illness. She is so supportive and responsible, she is sending messages asking me to check in my food and what time I go to bed. (By the way, if you decide to consult with her, follow whatever she asks you to do, do it for yourself not for her. Even though she will push you hard. ) I was always thirsty and no matter how many times I drink water I don't feel it's enough. Now it's been a while and I feel like I'm back on the track. Now when it comes to 11pm I'll feel sleepy and I can fall asleep any seconds, not kidding!! Seriously!!! And recently I needed to wake up early for my work around 6am and I feel so awakened and my brain is clear and I don't need the coffee at alllll!!! Also, all of my friends and even my trainer see that I changed completely. I'm now a more positive person without complaining. I'm now just like a NIKE style------Just do it. My body fat also suddenly went down a lot from 17% to 14%. It had been 17% for a while and could not continue going down. I saw the significant changes on my body through the mirror. I don't understand how come the Chinese treatment is so good and efficient, and I don't even know how to explain the magic spelled on my body. But please find a good Chinese doctor as Doctor Lin, she will perform a magic on you! Chinese traditional treatments and doctors and herbs, the best!!

Dr. Lin has given me significant advice on continuing to improve my overall health. Through acupuncture and her suggestions for me my overall health has tremendously improved naturally. Dr. Lin is so patient, meets you where you are, is warm and knowledgeable about acupuncture and how the human body reacts naturally to it. I am happy to leave this review of Dr. Lin and the Healing Moon Clinic.

I have tinnitus. He told me I needed "12 sessions and after 6 I would feel my tinnitus dissipating." I went 4 times (twice a week, his direction)and spent $1134. At the end of my 4th session at the counter where I was paying I was informed that Dr. Wu was going to NY for a week so my treatments suddenly had a 10-day gap (he only works 3 afternoons a week). I was feeling strange about that so I wrote him a message (translated via google to Mandarin) and I got to the office after his absence and the receptionist told me that the website form doesn't work so they never got my email. I explained to her that my tinnitus was a lot worse. I wake up and my head is screaming at me. And I feel ZERO relief. I told her I wanted to talk to the doctor before treatment. He came in with his phone on translation very loud so everyone in the office heard, I suppose. As I explained that we stopped mid treatment and I felt that we were now starting all over, I expected that he would work with me on the price of the next 4 treatments (which in my opinion, he should have comped) but instead he told me that we had established a base and in a few more treatments I would feel relief. No! If your protocol was to see me twice a week, how is a 10-day interruption not significant?!?! Then I came out of the office and they wanted $270 for a bottle of herb tea ($80), herbal supplements ($59) and the $150 for the treatment. I told them I had more pills at home and they asked why like it was my fault that my ears were still ringing because I didn't take all the pills when he was out of town. I sent an email to the correct address asking for a breakdown of the herbal supplements so I could google and see what they were for (because he just hands them to you in a recycled water bottle and a generic pillbox). Then in correspondence I wrote an email explaining, again, that I felt that he should treat me 4 times without charge since he had interrupted my treatment. I received a cryptic email that did not address that. So I responded with that direct question and received a response basically lying about me communicating that things were getting better. It's hard to have a dialogue with someone who is translating. I responded, again, with direct clarity refuting the lie and telling them I won't be returning. In the 5 visits I had Dr. Wu never even felt my pulses. There are 6 pulses on each wrist. He's never felt them. Is he an actual licensed acupuncturist? I've never seen an acupuncturist that did not feel my pulses every visit. I'm not sure what others see him about but he did not help with my tinnitus at all. And the language barrier is a ruse. I'm writing this to give you fair warning. I'm all about Chinese acupuncture and Chinese medicine and will hopefully find someone who is able to quell this relentless tone in my ears.

Some wonderful practitioners remain, which makes what happened all the more disappointing. In over three decades as a patient, I never had a significant issue until recently, when I had an interaction with a practitioner that left me feeling genuinely unsafe and deeply unsettled. Had it ended there, I likely would have viewed it as an unfortunate but isolated experience. What shocked me was the response from management. Rather than approaching the situation with curiosity, balance, or a genuine effort to understand what occurred, I felt that my concerns were dismissed and the entire situation was reframed in a way that bore little resemblance to my experience. The Yo San I knew was built on principles of compassion, healing, self-reflection, and open communication. The institution's response to this situation felt inconsistent with those values. Patients should know that there are still talented practitioners at Yo San. However, my experience with management left me questioning whether the culture of the organization still reflects the principles that originally made it such a respected and unique place.
