If I ever decide to get a third, he'll be my first and only call. For my first, after taking FOREVER to decide and switching my design about 300 times, I ended up getting something completely different than what I gave Archie in my design consultation. Granted, I had a few months to think about it - it takes about 3 months to get into Archie's jam-packed schedule. Yes, he's that good! Archie was very patient and non-judging, emphasizing that tattoos are highly personal and my design should be exactly what I want. I ended up drawing my own and have never regretted it for a second. I wanted it on my foot, which Archie advised was the most painful place, but didn't try to talk me out of it. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I had no idea what colors I wanted when I came for my appointment. We had a great discussion about color theory and went with analogous colors. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! My second tattoo is especially meaningful. My mom, who is battling the most severe form of MS, wanted a tattoo for her 60th birthday to symbolize her fight. I decided to get one with her and designed the image. Of course, I would go to none other than Archie. He refined the design and supplemented it with beautiful script he created. Hers says, "Strength for today, hope for tomorrow" and mine says, "I'll stand by you". The image is a variation of an awareness ribbon, with the brightest bright orange to really pop - suggested by Archie. Both tattoos have held up incredibly well. I've heard foot tattoos need retouched often, but after 3 years it still looks crisp and beautiful. Aftercare instructions were very clear, and when I had a concern about how my second was healing Archie was happy to answer my questions. He's the only one I trust to stab me thousands of times with a needle!

To start off, getting pierced here is extremely expensive. If you don't like the way they pierced…read moreyou or if your body rejects the piercing, you will likely be out $75-100 minimum. They charge around $60 per piercing, sometimes more. This does not include the price of the jewelry. Their jewelry is excessively marked up. They won't pierce you with jewelry you buy separately and bring to them. Understandable to a point, but it's very costly going that route. I have had both good and bad experiences here. Sometimes the piercers are very polite and professional, other times they are not very friendly and don't do a good job on the piercing. I had my forward helix done here a few years ago. The piercer marked my ear, let me look in the mirror, and asked me if that's where I wanted the earring. I said no, that's too low, too close to my rook, I'd like it higher up. She said no problem, but didn't mark my ear a second time. She said she would just move the piercing up a little bit. Great. So she pierces my ear, puts the jewelry in, and lets me go look at it. She hadn't moved the piercing up at all, she had pierced me exactly where I said I didn't want it. Way too low on the forward helix. That cost me $85 in total and she said she could not pierce again without charging another $60 for a second pierce. From now on I will not get pierced at this location if the piercer I trust and like isn't working that day. It's very very expensive and not worth it if you don't get the professional experience and the exact piercing you were after.

On top of that the whole tattoo costed well over $200 whilst being about the size of a dime and a preexisting design. I was charged for "designing" the tattoo when all they had to do was look up the symbol I wanted and print it out or use the photo I showed them. The process was relatively professional and everything seemed well sterilized so no complaints there. Other than the ridiculous pricing the overall experience wasn't bad. I just wouldn't recommend to anyone who doesn't want to over pay.

When I showed up I was immediately greeted. And introduced to Silver who would be doing my piercing. My nose was actually already pierced but I was having issues getting the stud through after several months of it being out. Silver examined my nose and was able to get something through it. I just had to pay $10 for the jewelry which is an amazing deal. Next was my tattoo with Camille. I was getting a pre designed piece from a recent flash sale. Camille was extremely nice and sweet! I felt at ease immediately. Camille makes a tremendous effort to have her tattoo process be as eco friendly as possible! What a great thing to do! I hope more artists and shops join her! Camille was very easy to talk to and she did a great job throughout the whole tattoo. She was pretty quick too! The shop was clean and had lots of merch for sale as well as refreshments. Each artist seems to have their own room or shared room. It's cool to see all the different styles. I would definitely go back to get more and check out some other artists!
