My experience with Blue Arrow goes a little something like this:
1. Sign up and get a shift that starts in an hour somewhere across town, fine.
2. Work 15 hours in 2 days and expect some form of remuneration, normal.
3. Get paid 24 pounds for my troubles (somewhat less than expected shall we say) only to find out that the person who is supposed to sign my wages off has left the company. Not ideal.
4. Spend a lot of time hanging around waiting for shifts at the Chelsea Flower Show not being paid. Less than impressed.
5. When shifts appear, they do not usually specify any kind of finish time, meaning that it is impossible to plan your time in any way. Marvellous.
6. Show up on time, then get sent straight home as they have no more shifts, even though they knew this would happen late the night before. Tears and tantrums ensued.
To summarise, do not bother. read more
