It is a great place to go for a drink and dance after dinner in Bellavista. Very fun and easy going crowd with great music by both international and Chilean DJ's as well as live bands (a great escape from all the reggaeton which is so popular in chile). They have two dance floors and one is more tecno focused while the other is funk mixed with classic pop (depending on the night). I have always had a great time here and my friends and I have danced until the wee hours of the night. They also have great cocktails and happy hour - they even have servers up until around 12am where you will then have to fight your way to one of the bars. Tip: Bring your ID - I know that is a given, but I have gotten super lax about it and if you don't have one on you, the bouncers wont let you in. Also, if you come before 11pm you can get in free - otherwise you will have to pay. Keep an eye out on their Twitter or FB page as a lot of times you can get in free by adding yourself to the guest list.

This is technically a gay bar but I like to go with my girl friends or my guy friends for some cheap drinks and to get the night going with something a little different. They have a variety of seating from a typical round table, to cozy pillow covered benches. The lighting is low and very party like.

If you do end up celebrating here, let them know you will be coming with a large group and you can send them your guest list and your friends will be able to enter free until 12am You should keep an eye out on their Facebook page (where they promote their events) there they show which events have a guest list and you can send in your name via email to get on the list. Entrance is then *free* until a certain time, usually around 1130pm and 12am. The entrance usually costs 4 mil after 12am. Also, I am not sure if they still do this, but if you eat dinner at any of the restaurants in Paseo Oreggo Lucco, you will be allowed in free before 11:30pm I recommend coming early to take advantage of their great happy hour specials and if you want something off the happy hour list, the bar is pretty well equipped to make just about any drink you want. WARNING: Miércoles Po' has a reputation to be a hotspot for pickpocketters looking to snatch items from drunk gringas (me included) and as previously warned by a fellow Yelper, a place where a crazy amount of Chilean men pay to "get to know" foreigners (again, me included). The parties, or "carretes" are hosted every Wednesday (miércoles) at various venues throughout the city and are continuously packed with both locals and foreigners around the typical college age (19-24). Details for each event are released each week via their Facebook page. Drinks are moderately priced, however I definitely advise to pregame as selection is minimal and bar service wait time can be extremely long. It's definitely a dance club atmosphere and you shouldn't show up if you don't like to dance! The playlists range from current regaetton hits and house to occasional US rap and hip hop. Get Po'ed.

I have been to most of the night clubs I know thanks to you. I do have to do my do diligence and warn my fellow gringas about the crazy amount of Chilean men who pay to get in so they can "get to know" foreigners. However, if you are into that kind of thing and looking to get to know more people, this party is for you. This event takes place every Wednesday (except for holidays), and usually changes location (the idea was to make it harder for those not in the know to get in) however, over the years it has grown super popular for both foreigners and nationals alike. The parties are always over the top fun - a lot like US college parties but that you can legally drink (probably one of the factors why it is so outrageous fun). They have themed parties (only something us gringos do) but it has been brought here and now a lot of people take part. Overall, good time had by all! Plus you get promos and sometimes even free drinks when with this group. Check out their FB group for promos and their latest event.

I am an After Office fan. When studying here, Wednesdays were always big party nights and we had…read moretwo options: Miercolespo or After Office. The students always chose Miercolespo as it is a little more crazy (where binge drinking [a college students favorite pastime] usually took place). But even as a student, I always preferred going to After Office as it is a little more refined (by no means am I super chic...but it is nice to dress up and put on heels every once in awhile). After Office used to be in Castillo Hidalo, and while it was a ton of fun, it was always a little sketchy getting down if you missed the last bus to the main street. So when I heard After Office moved to San Francisco (a few blocks from my house) I was pretty enthused! When I came around 8pm (you know, trying to be fashionably late), it seems like everyone had the same idea and there was a bit of a long line in the parking structure. Once my friend and I got to the entrance, we mentioned the code and got in for free (Make sure to come before 9pm and mention "código 570" to get in for free). Some people weren't allowed in because they were wearing jeans - remember dress to impress (no jeans, sandals, or sneakers). Once we got to the top, we were amazed by the incredible view of the city, the great music (there are a couple of different rooms with different djays) and the large bar and snacks (they have sushi)! Happy hour was going on for another hour (until 9pm) so we made sure to get our 2x1 before it ended! Overall, we had a great time, met some fun people and danced until a respectible hour (yes, I am a grandma). The party usually starts at 7pm and ends at 1:30am unless it is a bank holiday and in that case it usually goes for a bit longer.
