I was expecting a simple cosy cafe, but in addition to great coffees and pastries they have…read moreexcellent proper food. I had a pumpkin soup with almond bits for crunch, and my companion had a lovely baked cod with shrimp and faro. The indoor space is light and airy with a cathedral ceiling and windows to the park.

This shop is rather new and full of nitty gritty things in paper, fabrics, plastics etc…read more It is inexpensive and has all the things you don not need. I do not like the fact that you actually HAVE TO walk through the entire shop to get to whatever thing you want to see. On a crowded day everyone is walking in line waiting for their turn to look at the shelves. If you regret or forgot something it is pretty hard to go back.. it is a bit like the IKEA walk but here there are no secret fast lanes.

She has both cut flowers and potted plants for indoors and outdoors…read more The shop is tiny and the selection thereafter. Still you can find flowers for your need. Being located in the city centre of course this is not the ideal spot for buying all the plants for the balcony, but when in need. If you're lucky you can find decent deals. She is service minded and knowledgeable. I love the look of this shop's interior and welcoming decoration just outside. Does not accept AMEX.

We tried a couple places here - Pannhuset Kafé & Krog and Bröd & Malt…read more Pannhuset was amazing as we came here for lunch, and they have a small salad bar with about 4-5 different prepared salads to choose from as a starter to pair with your lunch dish. You serve yourself to those and the bread with butter/cream cheese to your liking. Water, sparkling water, tea and coffee are included in your meal. The greenhouse seating area is equipped with blankets and heaters in the event it gets too chilly but we were lucky to come here in an autumn sunny day to enjoy lunch with friends. The greenhouse seating area was definitely super dreamy, great for lunch or fika. So much food for a great price. Bröd & Malt was a delicious bakery, brewery, small eatery combined. We came here last weekend to enjoy their Fall Market and this place was having a small Octoberfest. We tried a couple beers and the bratwurst dish as a special. The bread that came with the brat was so good that we decided to pick up a loaf to take home. We finished that loaf in 2 days. Amazing service at both of the eateries. The Nääs Fabriker area also has many shops/boutiques to check out, we love the stationary shop, the wool shop, the plant shop and we saw a wedding dress designer boutique that had the most dreamy wedding dresses - Esther Franke - apparently this designer was featured in the reality TV show Bingo & Julia Season 2, which is about their wedding planning. Overall a beautiful property, you could also book sauna/pool with brunch if you needed a spa day to relax. The hotel offers many different packages. We didn't get to try them this time but we will want to stay here next time for all the convenience on the property. Also, the French bakery has many items to make your own charcuterie with all the accoutrements. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This is definitely the best dumpling restaurant I have been to in Gothenburg. It's home made,…read moreauthentic and reasonably priced. It's so good, I've made an effort to cross town to come here regularly. The xiao long baos (小籠包) and the sheng jian baos (生煎包) are as decent as any you'd find in Shanghai and Taiwan. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy. It's a simple, hole in the wall and family run. Skip the "fancy" (read: fake) dumpling fusion places in town and come here for a hearty, authentic dumpling experience.

I have no complaints at all - except for the price tag…read more The salads are made by order and there are at least 12 different to choose from. I like it that you do not just choose ingredients - this way you get to try flavour combinations you wouldn't try otherwise. My favourites are Italian (I am not fond of dried tomatoes) and Louisiana chicken. There are some ressings to choose from but don't ask for advice - the girl behind the counter can't help you. That's the answer I got. The portions for take away are huge - so maybe the price tag (SEK 89) isn't that bad. But it hurts. They do not accept AMEX.
