My husband and I filed jointly and have very simple and minimal paperwork. We have always filed online at H&R Block and have paid $50. This year we decided to go in person, only because we had a baby. The lady clearly stated we would be charged $45 for the service. Remember, she has no mask; therefore, I can clearly and easily see her mouth and read her lips, in addition to hearing her to perfection, no matter the little glass between her and us. I got a charge on my bank account for $485. Why in the world would I pay almost $500 for someone to input numbers in a computer?!?! We went to speak to Stephanie, she initially could not remember us but then was telling us she said $485. She tried to blame us on misunderstanding her because of the mask and the glass. SHE HAS NO MASK! And I was able to understand her clearly. My husband complained with the area supervisor and they did nothing because we signed the paperwork but we did not receive a receipt after payment. All my husband was offered was a voucher for next year. Why in the world would we go back to Jackson Hewitt?!?! Also, they said they don't have set fees for their services. Everyone charges differently; no consistency. To top it off, the supervisor pretty much called my husband a liar by telling him that there is no way we have only paid $50 previously. They did nothing for us; completely blindsided us. Never again! Do not waste your time or money with these people!

When I would try to call them, you just get put on hold for hours. You cannot speak to anyone! Also, when Louis mailed my tax forms out to me to sign, he had included another person's taxes!! which, of course included all their personal information, name, address, wages, Social Security number...
