I opted for Gel X nails after my usual acrylics based on Mia's recommendation for a healthier, longer-lasting option. However, within a week, the nails looked terrible due to poor placement. I was away on a trip and came back to the salon upon return 11 days after my initial visit. When I raised concerns, Mia gaslit me, insisting the flaws were due to my nail growth. I have attached a picture at how shoddy these nail placements were- this picture was taken a week after spending ~$100 on this set - she also refused accountability and was rude when I tried to schedule a removal, claiming it was only available on a specific day when I had spoken to a manager about getting them removed and had to reschedule due to flu. Furthermore, Mia misled me about Gel X fills, which another salon confirmed weren't possible. This misinformation wasted my time and money and harmed my nail health. Overall, my experience with Mia at bling nails was disappointing. Her gaslighting, lack of accountability, and false promises tarnish the salon's reputation. Caution advised. read more

Had to go back here because my usual salon is temporarily closed. I asked for shellac removal and shellac manicure. Instead they took it upon themselves to use gel and gel topcoat. I didn't request this and I honestly just thought it was a different technique for shellac, but when I went back to my regular salon, they had to use the drill to get it off. Apparently they do this because the gel products they use are much cheaper than shellac. I'd do my own nails before setting foot in this place again. I'm really pissed off as this could have damaged my nails. Atmosphere is terrible just as it was 6 years ago. Technicians talk to each other in Tagalog the whole time and one of them had her earbuds in and took a 30 minute call whilst doing another customer's nails. It just all feels very rushed, cheap products, with zero customer service. read more

I did my mani & pedi combo today. The girl who did for me name LISE had a very bad attitude somehow from beginning till the end. After she finished my gel mani, I realized my nail surface looked bumpy & the color was not even ( a very basic mistake when someone did a crappy job on your nails). I asked for a fix and she told me to wait till I finish my pedi, and she would see if she has time or not. Later on she told me she has no time to fix it today and ask me to come fix it another day. I told her I have no time to come back, so I asked for someone else to fix for me. Then Dana came and helped fix my nails. She was very nice & friendly. I was finally relieved and happy about my nails. Then when I went to pay, there was a $5 extra in my bill. I asked LISE, she said coz she applied a hard gel coat for me. Err, hello?! You don't do something without notifying your client there is an extra fee! What is wrong with her?! I'd been recommended this place by a client at my workplace and figured I would try it out. Their online booking system was easy enough to use. I booked in with Maya specifically, as she came highly recommended. Maya was super friendly and informative the entire time. It was very clear from the beginning that she is very detail-oriented and strives for perfection. I was so happy with the shape that she created, as I find at other nail salons the technicians can never quite master the coffin shape. I didn't have to give any instruction at all, she knew exactly what look I was going for and executed it perfectly. This was the best set of nails I've ever received and I would recommend Maya to anyone. I was a walk in. I had attempted to do a walk in at a different salon but this one ended up working out. Parking was super easy - found metered parking right in front of the studio. My technician was a nail wizard. I was in a crazy rush because I had an appointment and didn't think I could get a gel manicure in time. Somehow she was able to do it in record time - like less than 20 minutes AND it looked perfect. (Maybe I should tell my nail technicians all the time I'm under a major time crunch). I would absolutely go back again for this woman. I wish I could remember her name. That being said, I almost walked out after the front desk woman gave me major bored-disinterested vibes. Her whole tone when I came in was pretty unhelpful from start to finish (as in including when I checked out) and she almost seemed like she was trying to dissuade me from trying to sit and wait. I'm glad I ignored her because I ended up getting great service - just not from her. It's a real shame that the initial experience has to be so yucky because this would be a 5 star rating otherwise. read more

Do not go to this place. They have shady girls working here. I left my sun glasses, called immediately when I left, Whoever answered the phone acted as though they weren't there. I said "absolutely impossible, i just left." She said, "ohhh, Never mind looks like someone put them in the drawer." Finally I tell them that if I don't get some solution or results, I'll have to call the police, because that means someone has stolen them. What sort of shady, thieving women do you have working for you???? This is how people who work for your establishment conduct themselves? Dishonest, distrustful, shady girls. I'm shocked. Really. She then gave me some bull story about how they have so many sunglasses left behind. she told me to go to the salon and look through them. I arrive, and you know what, the woman working front desk has no idea what I'm talking about. She also tells me there is no box of sunglasses. So my boyfriend calls the manager, leaves a message and two hours later I receive a picture of my sunglasses with the caption(are these them, they aren't at the shop right now, but they will be there tomorrow." So naturally I'm thinking why would they be taken from the salon in the first place? My boyfriend picked them up because I had to work. I came to Bling Nails for my first ever acrylic set in my life. It was overall a fairly good experience. My nail tech wasn't too talkative, which suits me fine because neither am I and I was happy with the end result. I was a bit disappointed because I wanted them on the shorter side and she left them longer than I wanted (she refused to do them shorter but I couldn't understand why). My nails also started to lift after two weeks which seemed like a very short lifetime for a nail set. I also came in with a picture of ombré nail I hoped to replicate but unfortunately she could not figure it out (this wasn't the end of the world to me, I like how they turned out as plain black). However, near the end, another one of her clients showed up so she went to set her up at a station (which is fine, we probably ran over because of the time spent figuring out the ombré and then starting again when it didn't work) but I ended up sitting at my station alone, unsure of what was expected of me and then when she finally came over to tell me I was done once I washed my hands, she sat the new client down in my spot while I got up to wash my hands while my things were still there which felt a little rude. read more

I love that they are not too chatty, as I don't like to give my whole life story to perfect strangers, and they are professional and accommodating. I have tried MANY different nail salons and Bling is by far the best. I am a true perfectionist when it comes to my nails and my number one nail technician is AMY. I have had everything from short nails, acrylic nails, and now (with the help of Amy), my nails are long and beautiful and REAL. The girls at my office think they are acrylic because they look so perfect and they never, ever break! Amy is very fast and always ensures that the gel polish is coated evenly and that the shape is exactly how I like it. I always leave the salon feeling very proud and happy with the results! There is also a huge selection of colors, whether you want gel polish or classic polish. I get my pedicures done here as well and I highly recommend Farzaneh. She is always very gentle and makes sure that you feel comfortable... Oh, and did I mention the massage chairs? Bonus! All around, this is a great place for all things nails. The technicians are fantastic and the owner is a wonderful person who always makes sure to connect with her customers and put a smile on their face. I deducted 1 star because of the high price/ as well as I book for non gel, and that was all that they offered me, which wasn't a huge problem but it did come with a price increase. My friend was at first booked for just a gel manicure but last minute changed her mind to do a full acrylic set- and despite the salon being very busy, the staff was super accommodating! Lise did a wonderful job at my nails. She was attentive and very careful. I brought in a picture as an example of what I wanted and she did an even better job than the picture! She was very sweet and I was definitely beyond happy with the finished product. Overall, Bling nails is awesome. The prices are a tiny bit more expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. Finally! A nail salon that I love and trust in Vancouver! I called them in the morning and made an appointment for later that afternoon, because I was going out of town the following day. Since it was so last minute, I was sure that I wasn't going to be able to come in, but they were very accommodating and squeezed me in. The salon itself is modern and very clean. I was scheduled in with Kristine and she was lovely. Fun to chat to and did a great job on my nails! I've been trying to grow my nails out for the last little bit, but in the process of that 4 of them broke. So, I had to get 4 acrylic gel nails put on. Bling uses a different "acrylic gel" process than what I'm used to. Rather than the powder it was a full gel, which hardened under the UV light. Heads up: the gel burns your finger a bit and it feels a bit sensitive, but it goes away within seconds once you pull it out of the light. Kristine warned me beforehand, so at least I was expecting it. For colours, they had a ton of options. Nudes, blues, reds, greens, you name it, they had it! I wanted something a bit more neutral, so I decided on the "176" which is a mauve-nude-pink. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely be coming back! read more
