1 horizontal mini blind to be re-sized. 1 horizontal mini…read moreblind to be cleaned and re-corded. 1 fabric pleated blind to be re-sized. The cleaning on the large blind was well done ($24 plus tax). The small pleated blind that was re-sized was 1/4" wider than the measurement I requested, the end caps would not fit back on the top or the bottom because the cuts were so uneven (I ended up trimming them myself with a box-cutter knife). And a long metal bar keeps falling out of the bottom taking the end caps with it when it falls out (I'm not even sure what that bar is or if it's even supposed to be there at all). The blind that was re-corded was made 1.5" too short (the bottom three slats don't go to the window sill). They said they would redo it, but shouldn't the length have been checked when it was being done? All three were to be ready in "a couple days". A week after I took them into the shop, I had to phone to see why I hadn't heard from them. The answer was that two were finished, but one of their tools broke preventing them working on the third blind. (No one from the shop bothered to phone me to tell me that I could pick up the first two blinds.) Not open after 4pm on Fridays, not open at all on Saturdays. Not recommended.

We needed new flooring in all the bedrooms and hallways, tiles for three bathrooms plus sinks. Yes , quite a laundry list ! When we walked in we were not greeted which we could understand since the staff of 4 -5 that were on the floor were busy with customers. So we looked through their tiles and flooring. We had a lot of questions but after about being in the store 20 mins. The other customers had left and new ones came in and were being helped. A worker looked right at me and walked away without offering assistance. A lady came in and walked right next to us and a worker offered HER help. I then looked up and saw the rest of the staff standing around in a half circle facing us ( so they saw us) having a grand old time talking with each other. I then got the feeling we were being intentionally ignored. How else to explain it when each customer aside from us had been greeted and helped and sent on the way? When you are a minority you get a little sensitive about being ignored whatever the actual case may be. So poor customer service , high prices . We ended up going to somewhere else and special ordered the flooring we liked at half the price. We are ordering our copper sinks online. I Will never return to Markan Floors and will not recommend it to any of my friends purchasing houses here.
