She said no problem. Then I'm taken back to a massage room by a billing clerk that is visibly frustrated with not having my information available. As I announced I was leaving, she said "Good!". Strange situation, but whatever.

I was charged sales tax on a massage...I have never paid sales tax on a massage and the State of Washington does not require a service type business to pay sales tax. When I asked her why it was more than what is says on their sign, she said it was sales tax. Then she said the tip wasn't large enough, WTHey? So she took the additional $7 and added it to her tip (now a $12 tip), honest...she said this to me. 3 days later I received a text stating they wanted to give me a refund of $20... I thought it was due to this review, but I hadn't posted it yet, I thought I did. I did not go in to receive the refund. I do not like green eggs and ham. I would NOT recommend this place. The rooms are quite small and have a cloth curtain as a door. All in all it was a very funky experience and I will not be going back. If you choose to go there, bring an extra $15 for a tip.

When i asked more about it I heard the woman's voice change and get annoyed. When i arrived the woman got upset at me for not having the right paperwork. Repeating in an angry voice "i told you to bring it" "that's why i told you to bring all the paperwork". I have cripplingly bad appointment anxiety and ended up unable to relax during my appointment. I have a limited number of massage appointments so it really feels like it was a complete waste as i went to the chiro after and my body was in much worse condition than before my massage appointment. I'm not 100% sure but i think the woman i had this experience with was laura the owner. When i got home, i double checked all of my paperwork and it turns out I really never got a physical copy of the paperwork from my doctor that she was irritated about. I switched massage places, because i knew i would never be able to feel safe in this place. The receptionist lady at my new place was much clearer without me asking her further or getting irritated with me. I think this place lacks a designated professional receptionist that knows how to be kind, patient, and understanding to patients.
