The mattresses and blankets on the beds were really comfortable even if they were narrow. Great water pressure in the showers and consistent hot water. The breakfast was basically the same every day but it offered enough variety that I wasn't tired of it after 6 days and the breads were actually very high quality, just as good or better as I've been getting at nice restaurants and bakeries in this region.

I would absolutely stay here again if I returned to the area. The hotel is located within a 20 minute walk of the main train station. This is Motel One Stuttgart-Mitte, NOT Motel One Stuttgart-HBF so pay attention to the locations. They're fairly close to one another. The hotel is also accessible via an underground tunnel that connects directly to public transport and the train station, which would be so nice in bad weather. Note that the tunnels are very, very twisty and confusing, and it's way too easy to get lost trying to navigate them. For this reason, we always opted to walk "above ground" when going to and from our hotel and the train station. I found a great deal here by booking directly with the hotel, and I was impressed with the pre-arrival communication. I had plenty of clear, detailed e-mails from the hotel about my check-in and other processes well beforehand. When we arrived, our room was ready. The front desk clerk was very kind and helpful, and she spoke good English. It's a challenge to communicate in German sometimes, but we did our best. The lobby is very nice with a bar and restaurant that felt swanky yet comfortable. We were also offered complimentary fruit-flavored water upon check-in. Our room was a standard one, and it was sparse but very clean and comfortable. We had a double room that had two twin beds pushed together to make one "big" bed (typical in Europe). Each bed had crisp, white linens and an individual duvet which was so nice! There was a small open "closet" area as well as a desk and chair. I was excited because our large windows opened so we could see the street below. The room had a ballet theme with photos of dancers on the wall and thoughtful reading lamps by the headboard. The hotel designer certainly made the most use of the space available. The bathroom was my favorite: clean, modern, and user-friendly. We had a full bathroom en suite, so no walking down the hall! The hotel is located in a bustling business district, so there was tons of activity day and night. I never felt unsafe walking around, and there was always somebody nearby. We even walked all over the city from here (the largest Christmas market was about 15 minutes away on foot). Depending on what you are in town to do and see, this would be a terrific location for just about anything in Stuttgart proper! There are shops and restaurants steps away, too. I highly recommend this hotel! It may not be luxurious or fancy, but it's very comfortable, friendly, and affordable.

I stayed here for one night because of a business meeting in the hotel. There are a lot of things…read moreto say about this hotel, some are good some not that much. Let's start with the good points, the staff is really friendly and willing to help whenever it is needed and possible.The food which we had for lunch and dinner was also good, which is not the fact in every hotel restaurant. But speaking about dinner, the food was fine and the service as well, during the time we were eating ... but after dinner we wanted to have another beer but the waiter never showed up and we were forced to move to the bar (they could have told us to move there and not simply ignoring us, that's rude) My room was on the 6th floor and fresh renovated, clean and modern so everything was fine. Beside the night ... the room was warm as hell, so I turned on the aircondition (19° C) during the night I woke up, still fu..ing warm. I lowered the temperature to 5°C, okay at least I tried to, but didn't work, the aircondition didn't lower the temperature. So last chance open up the window and luckily that it was possible (remember: 6th floor) otherwise the night would have been horrible. Beside that the night was good. Coming to the convention center. The room was big enough to meet with 12 people and I am sure the others have space for more. Unfortunately the place where you are supposed to go during the breaks is way too small to provide space for all participants... But okay, one can handle that. But the problem I had in my room was the same here, aircondition was not working at all and after half of the day the room was warm and nearly all oxygen was gone ... Considering all those points, and yes it is easier to find negative topics instead of positive once, the hotel is still good for conventions or if you are a vistior of one of the near companies. Even if public transportation is near, it's not perfect if you plan to visit Stuttgart downtown (not from my point of view at least)
