The school itself is a Victorian building and still has the bell tower and the separate entrances for boys and girls which when I went were used for the infants and juniors. if you are thinking of placing your child in this school 'DONT DO IT' hamp primary is awful.. a…read moremale PE teacher made my daughter strip down to her knickers so she could carry out PE, she said that she didn't want to undress but he made her do it against her will whilst the other kids laughed at her.. i don't blame the children as kids will be kids, but the teachers should have never put my little girl in that position. when i called the school when i arrived home, i was told that i was pathetic!!! i later received a call from the head teacher she was very apologetic then told me that the PE teacher was just a ''JOBS WORTH''.. this is not professional behaviour to speak to a concerned parent whose daughter was violated in a place where she should have felt safe not scared.. we teach our children that somethings are to be kept private from an early age and then something like this happened... in my opinion this was wrong for a child to be treated this way.. my daughter has now been moved to somerset bridge and i can not recommend somerset bridge primary enough it really is a lovely primary school.. shame on hamp primary..
