I cannot say enough good things about Allegany Plastic Surgery!!…read more I underwent a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), liposuction, and a breast (mastopexy) in September of 2022. I wanted to remove some extra skin and stubborn fat I had post-pregnancy, as well as to redefine my shape. Dr. Carpenter and the nurses were exceptional - they answered all of my many questions before surgery and continued to make themselves accessible post-surgery to aid in my recovery. I am thrilled with my surgery results, and highly recommend Dr. Carpenter and his team for anyone seeking similar procedures!! In addition to the surgeries I described above, I had the pleasure of working with Tori (Skin by Tori) to improve my skin. I wanted to work on lightening or removing some melasmas that popped up on my face while I was pregnant with my son a couple of years ago. I also had some pretty dark sun spots from subjecting my face to the sun without protection (a lesson I didn't learn until later in life). My goal was to get my skin healthy enough that I feel 100% confident without makeup. Tori went to work right away in putting together a skincare routine for me comprised of ZO products. In addition to using these incredible products, Tori recommended a chemical peel to address the spots on my face, as well as my neck and decolletage. As soon as we did the chemical peel, I immediately noticed changes in my skin. Everything was instantly tighter and my skin was almost glowing. About a week after my peel, I was shocked with the continued improvement and final results. All my dark spots had either disappeared, or were significantly lighter. My pores were smaller and the texture of my skin was amazing. I did not expect such significant results! Tori was wonderful throughout the process-she checked in on me and offered advice throughout the process, and her passion for skincare is contagious!

He takes his time with each and every patient so that you feel like you're really being understood and your needs are being met. He is helpful with his advice and is willing to tailor a specific procedure or combo-procedure to fit you. The office is pristine and has the latest technology offered (and really, how often do we get THAT in Cumberland?!) and the surgicenter is a great place to recover at your own pace and in private. All in all, I'd say this place is a 6/5!!

Sure, you could go out of town, but that's out of insurance network... Regardless of so few choices, I've been here several times and have nothing negative to say. The staff is always friendly. Sure, the receptionists carry on personal conversations sometimes, and sometimes with other staff. But that's everywhere! And it's never negatively impacted me. The office is clean and neat. I really dislike the center seating, though. Odd benches that make you feel awkward if you have to sit there. The waiting area is too small sometimes. It can take a long time to get an appointment, so don't delay when you want one. Plan on at least a month or two out. They do keep a cancellation list. The ladies were calling some people on that list the last time I was there. The dermatologist is incredibly nice. She explains things and makes me feel comfortable an confident. When I had a mole removed, then had to go back for a wider excision, both processes went very well. Both her and her nurse are compassionate and caring, and I felt like I was in good hands. Biopsy results were reported to me in a timely fashion. I go for annual skin exams, and I have confidence in the staff. I've never had an unfriendly person helping me.

I had to drive a friend to an appointment at 1:30 pm. We arrived at 1:14pm and she checked in. The…read morefront desk lady was polite until we sat down. She then began loudly chatting to a coworker on break about staff, making negative comments about new hires and giggling in a very fake way that was nails on the black board. 1:30 came...and went, while they continued to socialize...1:40... and still chatting loudly while people waited. 1:45 my friend notifies them she is on a time restraint and how much longer? The front desk lady told her they were on the way to call her. 1:50, she is away from desk chatting to the associate aid who was supposed to be on her way to call my friend up. 1:58, my friend had to stick her head into the reception nook to inform them she had to go. The receptionist giggled and waived her off. The previous time we were there, the staff tried to refuse her for being 5 minutes late- because they moved the office across the building. The receptionist was away from the desk while we stood there waiting, they saw the pharmaceutical rep before even looking at us or signing her in. But they wanted to cancel because ww were 5 minutes late???? No one would even recognize we were there for 10 minutes as we stood at the front desk. She fought pretty firmly to get seen and they very grudgingly saw her. The customer service is appalling. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE if you don't have to. I have never seen such rude, condescending staff. The Dr however, was nice the one time we saw her. My friend never got to get past signing in today and left still with her stitches in! FOR SHAME!
