we ordered a 2 cord mix of red fir, Hemlock, Birch and Tamarack... Their northwest blend for $285 a cord. They delivered two cords of bull pine and included only one piece of Tamarack and one piece of red fir. We were ripped off. Avoid this company. I don't understand the negative comments posted but recognize they are 6 years old. This company is very prompt and professional. The wood was as ordered, seasoned and perfectly cut to length. As we all know, firewood purchasing now days is a tricky business and quite a few cons have entered the arena. Customer for two years. Ordered 4 cords each year. No issue with the first year quality but last year the firewood wasn't the quality of year one. In Febuary 2012 I sent an Emailed to Blacksmith Farms (Stephanie) addressing my concerns and the request to hear back from them. I not only never heard from them but the many phone calls I attemted recently to their posted telephone number have never been answered nor the message I left on their answering machine was never return. Is this company is still in business?? They have not acknowledge an order placed online, nor has there been a response to an email inquiry regarding the order. in 2014 i purchased 3 cords of red fir from blacksmith farms the wood i got was mixed not all red fir and not cut to the length i requested. this year 2015 i called to reorder and explained to them that i wanted them to make sure the wood was cut to the right length i and wanted the wood to be all red fir blacksmiths owner responded rudely suggesting i find another place to get my wood. i explained that wasn't why i called i found another company to deliver wood and am very happy with the results. save yourself the hassle and buy your wood somewhere else read more
