This is one of the lower reviews I've posted. The thing is .. the place is alright ... the vibes were good, the servers were great .. its location was amazing ... the food was delicious .. its was just ... meh.
For the prices it was, you didn't actually get a lot ... now I know steak places are expensive and you pay for the quality of the meat .. but it just didn't seem a lot for the prices we paid.
So I was there for a birthday dinner. I love some steak every now and then and love going to steak places. So when this one came up and it was close to my hotel, I thought I might as well try it. As said before, the servers were attentive, had a nice chat when being seated, and I cannot fault them.
I am prone to a ribeye ... and unfortunately it was out of stock ... but the way this place works, you can get a normal steak (ribeye, fillet, sirloin, rump, etc) for a set price, but you only pay for the steak and the more tender the piece, the more expensive (fillet being the top pricing). But you could also get a bigger steak and share it between 2 ... those are usually the ones that come with the bones when cooked ... tomahawk, t-bone, etc etc and their price is set by weight (which is cheeky as you don't eat the bone but have to pay a price for it),
So you order your steak and drinks, and the sides are separate, we went for chips and sweet potato and shared them. The plates seem too big for what you get .. on such massive plates, a small fist sized steak gets overwhelmed with the space left ( which you fill with sides).
As I say, it was a decent meal, well cooked, just ... wasn't enough for the price for me. read more
