They do rent paddle boards and kayaks and will even take it to and from the lake for you for a delivery fee. The guy at the store told us about one of their lakeside kiosks where they have the equipment right there. Off we went towards Salmon Lake. It was located at Salmon Lake State Park. $10 an hour!! Such a great rate and the girl running it was so friendly. It was nice to be treated like decent human beings after being treated like dirt at Holland Lake. If you want to have fun at an affordable price and be treated like they are happy to have your business this is the place for you!

We rented paddle boards from Heritage last weekend for our camping trip at Lake Alva. I'm so glad…read morewe did because it was a blast! They shuttled the boards to and from our campsite for a nominal fee and gave us paddle boards that doubled as kayaks. How cool is that?! We were very pleased with the customer care we received from start to finish, and the over all ease of our rental experience. If you want to play on the lake but don't own the toys or a vehicle that will haul them - this is your go-to rental company. We'll definitely be back!

Bed was incredibly comfortable (I was in #5.) I'd definitely stay again if the rate were the same, and if I think I will be allowed to access the room easier (see below). Note- this establishment is not disability-accessible (does not meet ADA standards). The parking area is not near the doors, so taking luggage to/from my vehicle would have been very problematic for me as I am disabled. However, I asked if I could drive over the grass just to load/unload near the door and was, hesitantly, given the go ahead. This review would have been *very* different if I had not been given permission to do so. There is no ramp to get to the doors, steps only. The fact that this establishment is not disability-accessible is why I give 4 instead of 5 stars.

Surrounded by the beautiful forest, Rock Creek motel is the place to be. Clean and comfortable rooms and the staff was sooo kind and helpful! The mercantile is a cute country store with a huge fly selection, which my husband loved...and even had Duke the dog there to greet you! We ate breakfast at the restaurant next door...it was very tasty and also reasonably priced. Although they were closed for dinner on Monday and Tuesday, our neighbor said they had great food for dinner as well. Poor Henrys a few miles down the road also had great food. This motel was a great find and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone at Rock Creek Motel!
