A Treasure Hunter's Dream! Good Ground Antiques really lives…read moreup to its name -- it's solid ground for uncovering some seriously good finds! It's a beautifully curated collection overflowing with incredible finds in every corner. It's run by one owner and features 12 unique vendors offering a wide range of items: tables, books, maps, flags, glassware, lamps, flags, baskets, nautical items, historical pieces, cute sunglasses -- basically everything you can think of and more. Some pieces are very reasonably priced, while others felt a bit steep, but the overall quality and variety makes it well worth exploring. The layout is impressive: there's street parking, two side parking lots, a spacious front store, two barns in the back, and a large outdoor area filled with beautiful teak furniture and garden décor. I'm officially obsessed -- hidden gems are tucked everywhere you look! Huge thanks to Pam for being so warm and helpful -- we truly appreciated your time. I found several fantastic pieces to use for my business displays and can't wait to return. They take cash and card. If you're in the area, this is an absolute must-stop! They're currently open 7 days a week, but be sure to check the hours before you go -- they closed at 5 p.m. when I visited. I really hope this review helps someone discover Good Ground Antiques -- this place is amazing and deserves way more love than it's currently getting on Yelp! ENJOY.

This place has been around FOREVER, or at least for most of my life. My mother and I have always…read moreenjoyed popping in and looking for something fun for the beach house, or a present for a friend. There's china, crystal, silver, lamps, jewelry, odds and ends, nautical thingies, etc. There's also a barn with furniture and chandeliers, also an enormous snake skin, I don't think it's from a local snake. Prices are on the high side for some things, but that's not surprising. Others are quite reasonable. It takes a while to wander the closely packed aisles. But that's very enjoyable. The owner is friendly and doesn't pester you, which is lovely. I swear I took a picture of the enormous snakeskin, but I can't find it.

My love for finding cute little vintage and antique shops while traveling grows when the towns that…read moreI am in get cuter and cuter. So, naturally, when in Greenport, I was basically on an all day high. Walking up and down the main street, there are a few little (and big) vintage and antique shops, but The Times Vintage was by far the coolest. It literally feels like you are stepping back in time a few decades (photos uploaded for proof). There's a section in the back that feels like a movie set from the 50s, except you can touch and shop. Ideal dream store basically. I almost immediately found a bag I loved and I am very rarely as decisive as I was when I proudly declared that I would be getting it. Perfect summer staple that I've been on the hunt for for awhile. I'm so happy I found it second hand! I can finally delete the Banana Republic and Jcrew versions I've had saved. They have everything from records to clothes to houseware, all very well curated and decently priced. Very much worth a visit.

This spot was a bit out of the way for me however the town is so nice we made a day trip of exploring the north fork. Being a fan of Ricky Teevees designs, this was a must go! This place is huge, the layout is fabulous. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was rather busy. The displays of everything are perfect & the space feels very lived in. Price wise this spot is up there however it's real vintage stuff. I didn't need any help however the staff seemed nice and played some good music :)

As much as I'd love to rate this place with 5 stars due to the fact that the money goes to animals…read moreI just can't. The two gentleman working at the front are very sweet but unfortunately the two elderly women were my biggest problem. Not only do they price the items high but they have the worst attitudes I could ever imagine. We are in there spending money to support animals, be a little nicer. Instead of showing kindness, love and laughter, they make negative faces, rude hand gestures and are just overall those cranky old jealous grandmas that just hate life. So with that being said, support your local animals by donating to ARF directly not through this negative attitude thrift shop.

This antiques store is a throwback to a time prior to EBay- when antique shops were a treasury of discovery... and shop-owners were knowledgeable , fair and extremely patient- ( especially with my husband's silly questions and ruminations). She and I had a wonderful conversation about her shop, her items, and the sentimental value she has for them. She told me about her travels and past as well. She sold me one of her very loved pieces from her own collection so I can gift it to my mother. She was so lovely and so excited it was going to a home where it would be appreciated. This is easily the best antique shop I have had the pleasure to visit so far. I have the outmost respect for the owner and her business and anyone is lucky to get to know her!
