During our recent trip to Australia, we spent two nights in the Blue Mountains, and we came to Black Cockatoo Bakery on both days. The coffee was good, and the pastries were so yummy. I especially loved their flaky pastries - the almond croissant, pain au chocolat, and the pistachio escargo. The delectable buttery flavors, crunchy, flaky texture, and not too sweet... we loved it.
The bakery has a long rectangular space, with the counter on the right side, and a set of small tables, chairs, and benches on the left. We dined in on our first day, and grabbed the goods to go on our 2nd, to enjoy on our drive back to Sydney. It's great that the to-go comes with a paper tray, which made it so much easier to eat in the car! read more
