Fitness Factory (East Charleston) -- Review…read more 1. General Information This is my review of Fitness Factory on East Charleston. The gym is open 24/7, which is a huge plus, especially in a city like Las Vegas. Membership is straightforward: there's only one option at a very affordable $17/month with no contract. A sign-up fee applies--mine was $20.25 during a New Year's promotion, but it may vary. Day passes are available for $10 if you want to try the gym before committing. The sign-up process was simple; I joined at their smaller Lake Mead location, but you can also sign up online. Unfortunately, you *must* cancel in person, which is inconvenient. 2. Facilities and Equipment The gym is clean and generally well-maintained, though it does look a bit dated and could use a facelift. The biggest drawback is the limited variety of machines. While there's a solid weight training area, free weights, and cardio equipment, those accustomed to larger gyms (like LVAC) may feel restricted by the lack of machine options. Most equipment is in good condition and not outdated. Specialized equipment (like kettlebells or stability balls) is scarce. During my usual visits at 4 p.m., the gym wasn't too busy, but you may have to wait for a machine during peak times due to the limited selection. 3. Group Classes & Programs They offer a variety of group classes, but I haven't personally tried them. The option is there for anyone interested; I recommend checking with the staff for schedules and details. 4. Staff & Trainers My interactions with staff have been limited since I tend to keep to myself. However, during sign-up at the Lake Mead location, the staff member was polite, efficient, and helpful--nothing exceptional, but the experience was smooth and professional. 5. Cleanliness & Hygiene Overall, the gym is fairly clean--nothing extraordinary, but far from unpleasant. The men's bathroom and locker room are average in terms of cleanliness, though the dated design doesn't help the impression. There are lockers and showers, but no towel service or supplies (soap, shampoo, or hair dryers), so bring your own. Sanitation stations are available, and members are expected to wipe down equipment after use. 6. Atmosphere & Community The vibe here is neutral--not the most welcoming, but definitely not intimidating or overly competitive. Most members tend to keep to themselves or work out with a friend or two. It's less crowded than bigger gyms like LVAC, which is a plus, but limited machine variety still means you may have to wait during busy times. One downside: I noticed a lot of high school-aged members around 4 p.m. This isn't inherently bad, but it's something to be aware of if you prefer not to be around so many young people. Your experience may vary depending on the time you visit. 7. Amenities Amenities are good for the price. Lockers are available, but you'll need to bring your own lock. There are showers, a sauna, and a pool, though I recommend checking with the front desk for their hours of operation. Water stations are available, and there's a vending machine for drinks, but no smoothie bar or café. Parking is plentiful in front of the gym, but I didn't see any dedicated bike storage. For public transport, the RTC 206 Charleston and 203 Lamb bus stops are conveniently nearby. 8. Value & Overall Experience Fitness Factory has a lot going for it, especially for the price. Compared to LVAC, it's less crowded and has a better vibe, but the limited variety of machines might frustrate some users. For $17 a month (no contract), you get most of the same basic amenities as larger gyms--including access to their Lake Mead location. The 24/7 hours are perfect for service workers or anyone with an unusual schedule. This gym is best suited for beginners or those looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly membership. If you want a modern gym with high-end amenities, you won't find that here. Still, for the price, it's hard to beat. I recommend giving it a try--while there are drawbacks, the value and flexibility may make it worth it for many people.

Not up to par customer service and infrastructure of they're building is below standard. Something…read morewas always broken here whether it was the machines or a urinal /toilet/ sinks. The only issue I have with this location is that they don't really have classes in the evening that interest me, and some of the machines are older. I know this is one of their older locations but I think I slight upgrade to machines we do well since it is such a busy location. Other than that, it's a clutch location when I don't feel like driving to one of the newer locations.

Hey yall! 2 stars for the good customer service only…read more.. 2 stars for the overall gym experience! I went on a tour and surprisingly, it didn't take long. How this gym advertises it online, is a lil different than it is in person. I guess the biggest gym that LVAC, has.. the one with the run around track that FLLOYD promotes, is the best location. This location is mediocre. Also, when I did go, it was packed, with old people. Lots of men. I did like that they did have a WOMENS only area, which was packed too... that's the only part I felt was good! Other than the cardio area was calm, but the entire weight lifting area was sooooo cramped and soo packed! What threw me completely off was the SHOWER AREA, a nasty mildew smell throughout the bathroom area. Which led into the pool area that I didn't like because you see over weight men just casually lounging in the jacuzzi like a regular everyday thing. I really wanted to see the sauna and to my surprise it was co-ed, I need my space. My personal space if in a sauna. No thanks, I won't be signing up here. She the employee, explained the fees and I was like huh? $47 & $49 for something... I thought it was like $10-$15 a month for 1 location! I understand the yearly fees. I liked only the juice bar and the vitamin store they had but nothing else. I'm just a lil more experienced with gyms and I don't wanna settle for just any gym. I take my workouts serious. I need peace whenever I'm training. Thanks tho!

It's clean, comfortable, and everyone actually seems focused on working out instead of filming content or trying to be influencers. The women's weight room is amazing and has almost everything we need for our workouts. The cardio area is great too, especially the incline treadmills -- those things are no joke! The women's locker room is always clean, and the overall atmosphere feels very nonjudgmental and welcoming. One of our favorite parts is the kids' play area. Our 5-year-old loves going every time we work out, and I love being able to check in on her from the women's workout room screens. We also end up at the juice bar after almost every workout because the smoothies are SO good (even if they're becoming dangerous for our wallet ). Overall, highly recommend LVAC Henderson. Easily my favorite gym I've ever joined.

I will say, I wish staff was better about enforcing some of the policies they have plastered all over the walls. Just today I saw a woman taking a picture of her butt in front of the mirror with the huge red sign saying "no pictures" in the locker room where other women change. Now I'm at the sauna with a woman wearing her sneakers although there's a huge photo of a shoe with an X over it right next to her. There's also big bags blocking walkways on the treadmill floor. I know it's awkward for staff to be calling people out like children but maybe if people knew the gym enforces policies word would get out.

I've been a member of Anytime Fitness since 2012, and I can say this is the worst location I have…read moreever encountered. The consistent negative reviews and photos say it all. For years, we've put up with broken or missing equipment, filthy bathrooms, and genuine safety hazards. Throughout this period of neglect, there were no credits or adjustment to our dues - just radio silence from a revolving door of management. Meanwhile, they continue to charge full rates and hit us with "maintenance fees" while the facility literally fell apart around us. The gym is finally being patched up, but don't be fooled - these aren't upgrades. This is delayed maintenance that we already paid for via those extra fees last year. It's the bare minimum to keep the doors open. Almost immediately after these minor fixes, the new owners hiked up member rates. It has become a predictable, frustrating pattern: * new owners: rates go up * facility neglected: maintenance fee * member loyalty: completely ignored It feels like a total slap in the face to those of us who stay through the worst of it. The new owners are essentially exploiting the members who are already funding their entire operation. The convenience and quality of the location is no longer worth the headache or the price tag. If you're looking for a gym that is actually maintained, transparent about its pricing, and respects its members, look elsewhere. Currently scouting for new gyms and I strongly advise you do the same. **In response to Morgan** I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I don't doubt that effort and money are being put in now. The issue is that members were previously charged maintenance fees while the facility continued to decline. When members pay extra, specifically for upkeep and don't see results, that's where the frustration comes from. As for rate increases and annual fees, most members understand those exist in the industry. The difference is whether the condition of the gym reflects what's being charged. This isn't about expecting a gym that never raises rates. It's about expecting pricing to align with value and transparency. The costs go up but the quality doesn't improve proportionally. Perhaps focus on bringing the gym up to the basic operational standards before implementing a rate increase.

It's a chill environment to work out an accomplish your fitness goals I recommend this placeread more

Hey y'all! I'm a 6 yr, all-star, elite reviewer on yelp. I…read morewrite over 100s of reviews from my experiences at businesses. I go to all YELP elite parties & events gathering free items from generous businesses, no issue. Today, I'm reviewing my PAID service at this business. I was as in-depth as I could be here...having written more, I couldn't fit it all into the character count. My 5 star was changed to 1 star today! Unsatisfied! Here's why.. I purchased a 3-month package at $200, up front. That is $69 a month, already over-priced but hey I supported!! I went here weekly for 3 months, at first, I bought into it thinking it would be good idea due to the turn-out at the free party they had! I liked the energy at the free party! That made me ask about pricing. Never did I once ask about if the membership was free, or if anything was free. I asked about pricing. I spoke to someone over text and I even asked about pricing about their podcast room. I was WRONGFULLY accused on text by JOE, that I was asking for something free, when in reality, over text, I asked about pricing, I asked about the podcast room and was told by their podcast guy, what he'd charge me, to use the podcast room and what he wouldn't charge me to use the podcast room. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE on their part. The first straw! RED FLAG! Anyways, I started to go to the gym, I kept to myself, using the door system, having read the instructions on how this is a NON-SUPERVISED GYM, so I just did my own thing while there, getting out my own equipment, on my 2nd day there, I was RUBBED THE WRONG WAY again, by a staff, named GREG, who I didn't know, who didn't know me, he approached me from behind, he did not carefully introduce himself, he just TOLD me-as asking me if I could put away my rack, in which I didn't remember leaving a rack out, but if I did, I wasn't done with it, I said to him, why didn't you introduce urself, first? He responded with disrespect that it didn't matter either way he worked there and they put their stuff back! Hahahaha really? My intuition never lies to me! I just knew he was targeting me. He had targeted me on MY first day working-out there, he came to me randomly, & asked me if he could use the same equipment I was using, while I was using it... I felt like it was an attention grab w/ the wrong approach and yes I sent the gym owner a text about it letting him know his staff didnt have manners!!!! As I started to go there, I noticed, JOE told me how they put their equipment back, how they keep the gym clean and from my daily perspective, that was a false statement. Countless times: I've seen equipment being left out, no supervision, no one telling someone to put their stuff back, I've seen countless times the gym was dirty, dusty, nasty smelling restrooms, sink was broken, restrooms smelling like crap, trash cans filled to the top, lots of dust on the equipment, floors filthy... so the whole truth wasn't being told. But none the less I held back and held my composure to at the least get my money worth. BROKEN DOOR!!! 2x.. So I went there literally for 3 months straight, till the end of my 3 month membership. I was targeted total 5x by GREG... none of the times was he POLITE, or friendly, but was to other people there. I noticed this and stop going there due to him rubbing me the wrong way MANY TIMES! I FELT TRAPPED! I've spent my hard earned money there and I demand effortless customer support which was NOT RECEIVED.... The owner JOE, could had gave me another 2 weeks... (I asked to freeze my last 2 weeks) but I didn't use my last 2 weeks..... on the house... since I paid for those weeks and didnt USE THEM, just to show remorse & to COOPERATE with me. Once again, he didn't, he's a bad sign, has bad juju. I today asked for a refund since they billed me again for a 4th month at $69 on auto pay without my permission.... I believe they said I it would be auto pay after the 3 months is up, but I wasn't made aware or asked again if I wanted to continue being billed. Which I didnt. I stopped going here little by little over time in the last 3rd month. BIG lack of understanding...... A business can easily work with you and say hey, I'll refund you, knowing u won't be back and thanks for letting me know right away, having missed your freeze and you haven't been back since... I understand. But NO... he wants ur money!! I've kept it professional and held back, held my composure focusing on my workouts soley but mannnn, NO, I wouldn't had committed to a contact here! Just wasn't for me. I now have access to 2 FREE modern gyms & 2 new free podcast spaces elsewhere, can come and go as I please. No hassle. The very unprofessional OWNER JOE, leaving a fake response to me.....he was texting me at the same time being fake!! I'm providing proof that my comment about leaving a review that wasn't great after 3 months of going there wasn't a threat.... He's not a good person. I show the proof! My bank refunded me!
