We were under a time crunch so we bit the bullet and just paid the extra. We were donating the items in my MIL apartment. The mover kept asking why we're donating so many items. I finally just said "my mother in law passed away and we needed to clean out the apartment". Then he kept asking why we're donating didn't want to keep an object or a picture. I just politely said that the family already took out the items they wanted. I felt like my privacy was violated. It was already a difficult situation and I didn't appreciate the grilling.
