Strictly directed at the bakery. We ordered a cake online for our daughter's Baptism. We called three times throughout the week to order it and left voicemails and no one ever picked up or returned our call. We then decided to order it online and got our order receipt from the store. Showed up at the bakery to pick it up and they claim it was never in their system and they never got an order despite me having an email receipt with the cake and writing on it. While I waited over 30 minutes to even have an update from them I witnessed multiple other people who were getting cakes with wrong or missing writing on it. Do not get tires here- the online portal didn't tell the shop the correct tires I had already prepaid for and taken time off of work to get- they were both the wrong size and not in stock. After arguing about a $200 up charge I was able to get the original price I paid but they wanted me to wait two days and take more time off. I said no and stupidly got the warrantee. Not only did they break my tire sensor but now that I've hit a pot hole they expect me to wait four days for a new BRANDNAME tire to be shipped? I was harrased and yelled at by a lady who seemed to be there all the time coming from a white camper van in the back parking lot. I've seen her there on return visits, changing her clothes in the nude. The vulgarity from her was unreal, and there were children around. I bet this happens regularly. They never pick up their phone... theres like 1 guy that works in Tires...so if you go there to get propane, it takes forever. Sometimes theres a sign that just says they can't do propane, not enough help. I've called several times over several days... and it rings 15-20 times, until someone picks up, and then hangs up. This location seriously has the rudest employees of any big box store. Every employee acts like they hate their job and daily question their life choices and hate the customer too. I went to BJs at 1:00. It was pretty slow. I had hoped that it being a very hot Tuesday afternoon, I would be in and I in short time. I went to the Deli and was the only person waiting. The clerk was engaged in conversation with a coworker for several minutes while I waited. Just as I was about to interrupt her for assistance, she addressed me. I asked for a half pound of deli meat. She removed it from the case and continued to talk. I guess she can't multi task l, as she stood at the slicer and stopped working every time she opened her mouth. Many minutes later she gave me my meat. She asked if I wanted anything else. My response. I was short on time so I said no thank you. When my son and I got to the register, he noticed cases of water on a flat bed near the front of the store. Remembering it would be a good idea to grab water for work, he asked someone at the front end if the water was available for purchase. He was told that it was for a pick up order. Because I was already checking out, he opted to bypass getting water. On the way out we noticed a whole palet of water behind the flat bed that was for sale. The clerk never mentioned to him that there was water that close that could be purchased. We left very disappointed in the customer service we encountered. I understand that you can't control when people check out, but the fact the check out line spans the entire length and width of the store is unacceptable. I work at a BJs not far from here, and line management is well done, never farther than 50 ft back for more than a minute at most. I've talked to a couple people in this line who have been waiting 20+ minutes--and they're halfway through the line. However, team members are friendly and willing to help, and while they're doing their best, management needs to get every cashier, themselves too, on a register to get this line down, and have busy days like this scheduled with more employees to anticipate these situations. read more

I am trying to find out what time the Optometrist takes their lunch break as the past couple of times they were "out to lunch". I was told they take a 1/2 hour break and was there for an hour and nobody came back. Not answering the phone or even having the recording working is frustrating. read more

The gas prices being is under $4 is the biggest draw, even if you have to wait a bit to get it. I mostly come here to buy gas and large cases of sparkling water here in that order. Sometimes they have great deals on random things but since it's just me I rarely need huge food things. read more

I don't mind this store. Hasn't been too crowded, even at Christmas - of course COVID keeps people away. The one problem I do have is that the gas pump/station closes 5-10 minutes early every day. Every day - without fail. What's the deal? I checked the website and I don't see alternative hours for the gas station. At least post hours that says you close early. read more

We ordered my daughter's birthday cake from here as we are recent members and couldn't beat the price... the cake was marble, moist and delicious. Had a filling of buttercream in the middle which was the same as the topping. Frosting wasnt overwhelming and tasted pretty good. Well, obviously everyone loves BJ's getting things in large quanities for a small price. Well that's what they are all about isn't it? Well the store was well stocked and clean, the visuals were there. But NO customer service. I went on a Tuesday around 11 or noon, I didn't expect the store to be busy, which it really wasn't. However, upon arriving to the check out, there were lines like it was the weekend!! So me being me, I went to use the empty "self (painintheassyouaregoingtoneedanassociatetohelpanyway) checkout" So here I am scanning my items I buy for the office, ten of these items happen to be large cases of soda. So after scanning every soda case, I cannot simply let the item go down the conveyor belt, I have to walk in my six inch heels, all the way to the end and place my soda in the appropriate area. HELLO, I already worked out this morning, if I knew I was going to be picking things up and putting them down all day here, I would have saved it. UGh! After all this, one of the cases incorrectly scans or something so the machine prompts me to wait for an associate....WAIT.......wait. oh and wait. As I am waiting, I look up and the gentleman next to me also using the SELF painintheassyouaregoingtoneedanassociatetohelpanyway CHECKOUT. He too is waiting for an associate to help him with his TWO items. Two t-shirts this poor man wants to buy, and we laugh and complain to each other and WAIT some more. In our waiting period of course we are looking to see where all the Bj's team members are. OH THREE of them need to be working on the same problem at ONE computer, One of them in Customer Service who told these women we needed help. But maybe they were the three blind AND deaf mice....oh and another one in the parking lot, collecting the 2 carriages that were left in the parking lot. I was happy to get out, and so was the other poor man stranded at the self checkout. And the others who were waiting in the REAL line. I will never utilize their online shopping feature again. I ordered three items, totaling about $42. The suggested driver's tip was $2 which I increased to $5. One item was unavailable so the total (with $5 tip) was $27. HOWEVER, they pre-charged my credit card $55 and noted that my correct charge would be applied within 7 days! So not only did I not receive an item, I was overcharged and I have to monitor my card to ensure that I'm properly charged. Ridiculous. read more

I was able to exchange for a better computer but did not understand the 14-day exchange policy for a broken computer. I frequent this BJ's because it is close to where I live, yet I always leave there annoyed. I typically enter BJ's hoping to run in, grab a few items and run out. However, every single time I am there, there is a line at the express check-out. Often times, the "Assistance needed" sign is flashing on someone's register and there are no employees in sight. After 5-10 minutes, someone meanders over and at a snail's pace is able to correct the register and get it back in order. I wouldn't feel the need to post the negative review if it was a once in a while occurrence... but it's EVERY TIME. That compounded with the fact that the receipt-checker on the way out is generally even slower than the response at the registers always lead to me walking out of this store in a bad mood. Please try to pay more attention to getting your customers out of your store efficiently! read more

I walk into bjs and the cop was extremely rude. We walk into the wrong entrance on accident but he came off very ignorant and told me to keep going. He pays me no mind while I'm walking away until my ask slips off just a little and I was fixing it because I was just about to grab a carriage. He yells throughout the store "HEY YOU" stops me and yells at me like I purposely took off my mask. I explained to him and he just kept coming off rude so I politely walked away and continued my day. Of course I know I'm supposed to be wearing a mask because of covid but it's one thing if your not wearing one at all and when your mask accidentally slips off for two seconds. We had a flat tire and a Leaky spare tire. And we were 2 hours from home late on a Sunday. Aaa told us bj tire was open until 8:00 pm. The service man (didn't get his name) not only spent time on the phone but also told us to come in. He repaired the leaky spare at no charge. We couldn't have asked for better service. As the main reason I kept my bj's membership was primarily for the cakes and then end up getting stock items while I was there, my recent experience with the bakery was substandard. When I went to order the cake for my son's birthday, the attendant was quite rude and dismissive telling us to "look in the book" after I had a question regarding the various sports descriptions. I ended up getting the manager to come back and help us with the design. When we can back to pick up the cake, the same attendant recognized us and stated that she had the cake and promptly gave it to us. We attributed her prior attitude as that of someone having a bad day, but when we got to the register to pay, it rang up as $36.99. I ordered the half sheet for $20.99. I waited for the clerk to come to assist, but the two of them just stayed where they were at the podium, so I went over to them and explained to them what I had ordered. They then proceeded to tell me it cost 36.99 and argued with me before finally walking over to see the cake and agreeing and acknowledging that the price applied by the bakery attendant was wrong. Intentional or not, I kind of felt it was, especially as she was so eager to help the second time around, knowing that I told the manager she was rude. So the question I had about whether or not to renew my membership in July was clearly answered after this incident. I don't really find many bargains there anyway, and I may check out Costco should I need any bulk purchases. read more

This particular BJs has "been there" since around 1992. I shop there about, maybe once a month. It seems I can never get out of the place spending less than $100.00. I know the "prevailing" prices of most of the stuff I get here and, sometimes, I even take a little calculator with me & figure out if BJs price is as good or better than the other stores. At least, at BJs, if I need something like flour or sugar, I don't have to buy 25 pounds of the stuff, just 10. For holiday baking, in a grocery store, I would buy 2 5# bags, so it's the same. My point is a person doesn't have to buy HUGE packages of stuff. The one thing we do get when we shop here is paper products & laundry stuff. We have storage space, so purchasing a BJs pack, we eventually use it up. Some things are a regular price at BJs what other stores run one-week sale discounts at. One can't be "strictly brand-loyal" on some products, because BJs buys in such large quantities; when something of one brand sells-out, the next time you need the same type of product, the brand you bought previously may not be what the best price was when BJs bought the item. Some things, it seems, BJs has to sell as a "loss-leader" & they don't sell every model of stuff like electronics. One difficulty for me is my computer printer uses an odd combination of printer cartridge numbers. BJs packaging is wrong for what my printer needs. I have to buy individual cartridges elsewhere. BJs takes manufacturer discount coupons & they publisn a monthly coupon book. If a person is on their mailing list a new month book comes a few days before the end of the previous month. Some coupons are only good for two weeks - just be forewarned. They keep a box of those booklets at the Momber Services desk if you forget yours at home. The person at that counter will ask to see your membership card & they will give you one. Sometimes, I find a booklet left in a shopping cart from another customer. Bottom line, an educated consumer can find bargains at BJs. But, soemtimes, you may find items more expensive, by a little at BJs. Overall, I do recommend BJs to people, depending on what those other people are shopping for. read more
