This review is for the Brooklyn office. I enjoyed my experience and quality of care. Their equipment is new and they alcohol wipe each machine before having you use it. Most importantly, Dr. Cheng made my experience 5/5. She is knowledgeable, patient and thorough. I was referred by a family member and referred friends over as well because of such a pleasant experience. She makes sure all your questions are answered and doesn't rush you out and genuinely cares. Thank you Dr. Cheng!

Dr. Siu was very friendly and detailed in explaining my issue, what could have caused it and what she recommends I do to correct and maintain the health of my eye going forward. I felt very comforted by her assessment and recommendations. The billing for the services was a little bit confusing. I have a high-deductible insurance plan so I was aware that I would be paying a decent amount to satisfy my deductible but the staff phrased it in such an odd way. They told me it would be a $300 deposit and if my insurance ended up covering some then they would refund me and if it ended up costing more they would bill me. They repeated this to me even after I was done with my eye exam. This was odd because they should know what services were provided during my visit and how much it could cost and despite trying to get clarification they continued to speak in a cryptic way suggesting it could be less, it could be more, who knows? I understand that insurance is complex and things may or may not be covered for whatever reason but providing the patient with a general range of what things may cost should be a base line expectation in my opinion. I visited in March and I had to call in May to receive the refund of the excess of my initial deposit despite the explanation of benefits being available in early April. If you do pay the deposit here make sure you are doing your due diligence with your insurance.

The Dr might be good, my mother said the Dr is very good, but you have to deal with the terrible receptionist. So even the Dr is good, patients, especially new patients is very hard to get to see the Dr unless you don't mind being yelled at with a very bad attitude. Patients do not go to a dr's office to receive attitude while they are also taking money from the insurance company. I def do not recommend this eye dr office. This is my 5th Ophthalmologist in 5 years. Do we see a trend here. He we go with a break down of…read morewhat I have experienced. Please put your drink down and swallow whatever you maybe eating as I do not want you to choke from possible laughter as I am going to describe a few of the others I have been to see. Year 5- This DR had OCD with a side of attention deficit and maybe a little bi-polar G had been to her before so we will call this a recommendation. After it was over and we left I said to G, ARE YOU KIDDING??? He said what??? I said she is a lunatic, I am not sure that I even had an eye exam, but I am sure she had a long hair growing out of the mole in her chin. He said what mole? I said, clearly you need glasses if you didn't see that big hairy mole on her chin. Ok...so she gave me a prescript for night driving glasses and I got them filled and I did see better at night. Yes I did see the occasional dancing bunnies crossing the road but that was fine (that was embellished). Fast forward.... Year 4 - Yes, I go back to her the following year, with G by my side, and again its the same OCD experience, with a side of amnesia. She does my exam and of course there again is that long hair coming out of the mole on her chin. For the sake of all humanity does this woman not have a BFF in her life that can tell her to pluck that puppy out. Give me a tweezer and I would pluck it for her. She must have thought I had lazy or wandering eye cause all I could focus on was that thing. After the exam I said I would like to get a new set of night driving glasses.....she said....I did not give you night driving glasses....thus the amnesia....I said....yes you did....she said .....no I didn't.....I said here they are....she said....no I didn't.....I said who gave them to me....she said I don't know it wasn't me. Ok, well then I would like a new prescription for driving glasses, you don't need night driving glasses she says to me. At this point I know I am getting no where with Dr. Long Chin Hair from Moleville, so I am out of the chair and out of the exam room. I head down the hall and tell G its his turn and enjoy the chin hair view. Year 3 - G found us another Dr. First off the office is temperature challenged, aka hot as hell. Women of a certain age do not like hot. They like cool. Breezy cool. Add screaming children in the waiting room and you start to get a recipe for mutiny. Get past the hot and the screaming kids and get to the doctor Deborah.....here he comes in the room and all I can think is MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW......who put that dead cat on your head. I looked at G and gave G the WTH look and though G was going to bust out laughing. Is this a joke are you kidding me. So I had my exam go out of the chair, let G get in the chair and then proceeded to point at the dead cat and shake my head at G. This doctor had one of the worst man wigs on that I had ever seen. Did he not have a bud that would say guy that looks like crap on you. Take that thing that looks like a black dead cat off your chrome dome. I wanted to tell the doctor that chicks dig bald guys, but anyone so desperate to wear that my really be self conscious. We did not return for another visit. Year 2- G found us another Dr. This doctor was a combination of Baryshnikov meets Nathan Lane meets RuPaul. Flamboyance and beauty and fine Italian couture. Let me look in your beautiful blue eyes here, and there and rub your shoulders here and there and lovely hair and possibly with your age your eyes are drying out, lets get you some drops. Now lets lips sync for your life. I though the disco ball was going to drop and the wigs were going to fly. No cataracts, macular degeneration, you just need readers my girlfriend and you are good to sashay away. WHEW! To Current review! Dr. Chubak The only thing missing from Dr. Chubak is his pocket protector. He is clinical yet friendly in the same moment. He is also very good at reviewing your history and medications and letting you know how they can possibly affect your eyesight. This is something that no other doctor has ever done during any visit. In all honesty, I was not in a super chatty mood during my visit with Dr. Chubak, so my normal conversational self was a bit more toned down, but, I can say that If you would like to have a regular normal human conversation with Dr. Chubak, you would have no problem. He is friendly and witty, with a side of fun nerdy. His staff is competent and friendly. The only problem with the office is the parking is ZERO. Have someone drop you off and come back for you. If the office had parking then the stars would have been 5.

Very disappointing experience…read more Before arriving, I called to inform the office that I would be running late and specifically asked if I would still be able to see the doctor. I was told that it would not be a problem. However, when I arrived, I was suddenly told that I would need to reschedule. No one contacted me in advance even though they were aware that I might be late. According to the hospital's appointment system, the visit is listed as 15 minutes. When I arrived, I was unexpectedly told that the appointment would take 2 hours, yet no one could clearly explain why. If the appointment actually requires two hours, it raises the question of why I could not be seen the same day after confirming my arrival. The 15-minute late policy does not seem to be applied consistently, and there appeared to be little effort to help or find a reasonable solution. While trying to understand the situation, I asked several polite questions but unfortunately did not receive clear answers. At one point I briefly took a photo of the area, making sure not to photograph any patients or front desk staff. I was then told that photography is not allowed due to a sign prohibiting it, however no such sign was visible anywhere. Overall, the experience felt very disorganized and unhelpful. I remained polite throughout the entire interaction and simply wanted clarification, but none was provided.

AVOID: Unethical and unscrupulous business practices. I…read morerecently had a disappointing experience with Leevision Ophthalmology Services and David Lee, MD. I found a medical procedure/service on Groupon originally listed at $780, and I had an additional coupon that would have further reduced the rate. However, when I contacted Dr. Lee to confirm his office offered the service, he quickly removed the Groupon listing, preventing me from securing the advertised rate. Even more concerning, David attempted to bypass Groupon by requesting direct payment, which feels like a tactic to lure customers with Groupon only to charge more outside the platform. On top of that, Dr. Lee refused to honor the discounted price advertised on Groupon and instead insisted on charging an even higher rate of $860. This behavior undermines trust and integrity. This conduct feels both unfair and unethical, raising questions about his professional integrity. I urge potential customers to be cautious when considering services from Leevision Ophthalmology Services. Such business practices are misleading and not customer-friendly. Would you trust an unprincipled doctor with your health and well-being? I wouldn't. See attached screenshots of the email communication and pricing he refused to accept.
