These California locals were excited to be in Boulder--we've been following Bitty and Beau's online for a long time! We love the mission and inclusion. I could go on and on about that, but let's talk about service and coffee! Connor and Kristin were gems--Connor was super efficient with our orders (because of course we needed to ask for different milk options and syrups) and my sister and I got a personal thank you post-card from Connor with our purchases (I think it's because we purchased merch! So excited to rep my pin and sticker back home). Kristin gave us our drinks and also greeted us and made conversation with us and the other customers. The vibes were so chill in there. They had puzzles, a super cool board to pin where you're visiting from, and a TON of merch. The drinks were some of the best lattes we've had and that says a lot coming from us because we're coffee fiends. The iced pumpkin spiced latte with almond milk came out to around 7ish dollars, which seemed average to me. My friend also got a smoothie and LOVED it. And the messages on the cups?? Made our day. I really hope to see Bitty and Beau's expand to California, but if not, it's just an excuse to come visit Boulder again :) and it's located at Pearl Street Mall, so grab a coffee and walk around! read more

We loveeed bitty & beau's! We didn't even realize their mission statement and how beautifully they share stories all throughout the store, but we were pleasantly and happily taken by all of that when we came. Drink: -Cold brew after lunch: we were fighting that after lunch slump and the cold brew here was a little on the sweeter side but it was delicious! The size was also awesome, and the prep was fast! Service: -the team was thoughtful, prompt, professional, and kind. All amazing parts, even talking to customers that were curious or looking at the decor and asking about it. Ambiance: -it is a beautiful, open space with a lot to look and browse about everywhere. Overall: will be back. it's also in walkway that reminded me of (I'm from LA) santa monica 3rd street promenade so there's lots to see in and around the store too!! read more

I had no clue that Bitty & Beau's Coffee shop was a chain. There appear to be 11 locations in the U.S. including this Boulder one I visited last week. If you visit their website under "Our Story", this is what you'll read, "Bitty & Beau's Coffee is a human rights movement disguised as a coffee shop, where people with intellectual & developmental disabilities are valued in the workplace. It's a place where diversity isn't just appreciated, it's celebrated. Bitty & Beau's Coffee proudly employs 400+ individuals with disabilities nationwide." How cool is that? The Boulder location is conveniently located just off Pearl Street on 15th. It's spacious and clean. Once you are inside, you know you'll be accepted as a unique human being so just show off your colorfulness, uniqueness, and order away. Its merch section to the right is quite the size. The drink menu is a good size and yet not super extensive. Their pastry selection is also a good size; sweets and savory, I mean you name it. You can grab a table or get a seat at the bar and interact with one of the workers (during our visit last Sunday, we saw three individuals at the bar talking about their favorite movies. It appeared to be a friendly discussion where one of the baristas occasionally joined them to say something.) Each time a customer entered the shop, Kristin's voice (one of the workers with disability) echoed throughout the store. Her cheerful "Welcome" must have soothed just about anybody's soul. She even writes heartwarming messages on people's drink cups; what she wrote on our cups were, "You are a star" and "We love you". Thanks for the love, Kristin! Like I said, this is a chain and yet it's MORE than a chain. Inside the store, they embrace differences the workers and the customers bring inside and celebrate them. Like the store's motto decaled on the wall, "They are changing the way people see other people". It was so nice to have a coffee shop like this within my reach. Now my question is, "Will they open a location in the Denver metro area?" That'd be nice as Boulder is a bit of a drive from my house in south Denver. But hey, for a great business like this, I'll do the drive! read more

Overall: just talking coffee/drinks this place is already a cut above. Add in their mission story and you have a coffee shop that's intentional about how they treat their customers, with care and love. Coffee: the matcha latte with lavender is obviously better than the Starbies version but it really accentuates the lavender flavor to transport you. Especially with how nature-y Boulder is, you feel like you're in the meadows by the Flatirons. Service: done with love and care. I don't know how to explain just how hard the staff try to connect with you. If you are just coming for a grab n go then you'll at least leave with a smile on your face. Ambience/Decor: retro vibes situated just off Pearl street makes this a very tidy location to stop by! read more

New coffee shop on Pearl in a very convenient location in front of the 15th and Pearl garage. The drinks were good and my blended hot chocolate was thick and really great and it was made with oat milk and had no consistency issues. This is an absolute gem of a coffee shop. If you read the backstory behind this smaller chain it's absolutely heart warming. Bitty and Beau's opened in NC with founders that had children with Down syndrome. These shops were opened to help support people with Down syndrome in the workplace and to give them somewhere to they can get employment which is one of the best ideas I've heard. The space itself is sleek, modern and filled with warmth and love! Service was outstanding, and the coffee tasted great as well. We got the chance to work from here for a bit and enjoy the crisp sunny morning in Boulder and wouldn't have had it any other way. Lots of tables with plugs and parking is very accessible in the area. Highly recommend stopping by. read more

I might get flack for saying this but this is the most gimmicky coffee shop I've been to. Tons of merch to buy when you walk in. The coffee was no better than diner. My wife had a latte with some add-in's that spiked the price to nearly $8 and it was awful. We felt like we just threw our money away here and, worst of all, walked away super disappointed and feeling bad about our decision. I had been by this place and thought it looked interesting, well designed and adjacent to a restaurant we often enjoy, Postino. It's actually on the 15th St side of the corner. I have very complicated coffee bean flavor profile requirements so I had never tried them, though the pastry case was inviting. After I read a great Yelp review of the oat milk chai , I thought "that's something I CAN do there" and support their inclusive business model. I went down to Pearl a bit earlier than I needed for another purpose and tried the Chai as well as the lemon cranberry muffin. I was treated and served very well. The Chai was excellent and a nice warm temperature without burning me. The muffin was a bit hot and took a while to cool. When I bit into it, I discovered the lemon not to be just zest, as most but an actual lemon filling, like my favorite donuts. Cranberries were scattered through the batter and it was neither too tart or too sweet. I will definitely go back and order these again and just ask for the muffin to be only warm, not hot. But if they don't have any more by then, there were lots of other flavors too. Staff was more than competent and more than helpful. The place is spotless, moderately busy on a weekday and prices competitive for a Boulder quality coffee shop. read more
