I remember doing shots of Tequila with many of the regulars mimicking Jack Nicholson in Easy Rider. I also played the Irish Pub in Saxonhausen district of Frankfurt and in Fulda. I also recall with a smile a huge body builder guy that used to come in that drove one of those little Nash Metropolitan Cars. I could never figure out how he even got in the little thing . So, despite the fact that I had stopped off in Kolbenz for a short time and only spent about an…read morehour or so wandering around the streets, out of all the pubs that I could have picked I end up going into the grunge pub. I guess that happens to be luck on my part because there were certainly a lot of other places where I could have grabbed a beer. Anyway, as suggested, this is basically your typica grunge pub (or dive bar as some people seem to consider them - me among them) so you can expect heavy metal music blaring out of the speakers (though only on the inside mind you).I found the service to be pretty cool, but the selection of beers to be fairly standard (though there is a pretty full bar if you prefer other drinks).
