He called his daughter, gave us directions which it was right around the corner and we stayed in their spare room for the night. We sat down, our orders were taken, then we received our food relatively quickly. I was impressed by the speedy service, but not much else. Then my pizza came, with a side of fleeting suspense; was it good? Was it not? I took a bite and found the truth: the pizza was horrid. It had no flavor whatsoever, even though I had ordered a supposedly flavorful pizza with mushrooms and oregano. I had to put SALT on my pizza just to taste it, and even then it was still mediocre at best. The pizza crust was also bad, as it had not risen. Because of this, the pizza was essentially a giant piece of bread with gross, melted cheese and toppings. I can't believe how horrid the flavor was. My family and I ended up leaving the restaurant before finishing our pizzas (can you blame us?). We would have stayed for dessert had the food been better. We ended up getting sandwiches and desserts at the boulangerie which I mentioned before. (Also, a side note: Le Normandy has an adjacent, presumably jointly owned and operated, hot dog stand with "authentic, New-Yorker hot dogs." I don't know how it is, but based on the blunder inside the restaurant, I would not take the chance.) To sum it up, Le Normandy is a tourist trap that makes its money by luring unlucky tourists. It advertised "good food," which may attract the naïve, but "English service" probably lures many Americans (me!) and Brits into the worst restaurant I have ever eaten in. This place is closer to "death trap" than "tourist trap." Avoid Le Normandy at all costs! NOTE: Sorry for posting the toilet seat pic twice. My mistake (LOL).

It's a simple crêpe restaurant with good quality food at reasonable prices. Very French in its operating hours, so expect them to be closed between lunch and dinner. Excellent family dining.

My family and I visited here on June 6th 2011. The place was not full and had several tables…read moreavailable. I spoke with an older woman and asked if we could get an inside seat because my 91 year old father was so cold from the ceremonies on D Day. She abruptly said no and didnt even offer a seat outside. We did sit outside however and were treated horribly by the young woman waiting on us. She was so rude with us. we tried to speak as much as we could in French but to no avail. The table next to us could speak french and the young women there said they were leaving and were happy to do so because of the things she had said to us. They said " She is a bad woman " " Not nice" ......... Needless to say we were very disappointed. This was the only time this has ever happened to us in France.
