AMAZING!!! As far as I remember this place has won pub food…read moreof the year ever year since Ive lived in the area. Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. The portions are huge and I'm always left with enough food for another meal but save room for the Holly Bush sundae because you wont ever have a such a selection of tasty locally made ice cream :) The prices are great too, last time I went it was around 30quid for the 2 of us.

I dined on a pear and goats cheese bruchetta ( very nice), a 10 oz rump steak ( good meat, with very good chips), and finished with apple pie ( not unlike my granny used to make, good short pastry, generous filling, and served with good quality vanilla ice cream). Hearty and very pleasing, and about £30 per person for three courses and a couple of drinks, so not bad value either; I heartily recommend this place if you happen to be in the area.

Roasted beetroot made a deliciously different appearance on the lunch plates which were both licked clean. The pleasant and helpful staff were pleasingly dizzy and the beer (Pedigree & Tim Taylor) sat deliciously atop of my digesting lunch whilst relaxing in the cosy and interestingly decorated bar. At 15 quids for two lunches me reckons this place to be excellent value and our lass and I shall look forward to returning soon, gonna give the evening menu a bash so I'll get back to you.
