You can smoke up there, which for smokers is cool, but with absolutely zero ventilation, you don't even need to smoke an actual cigarette to get your nicotine. The music upstairs is usually electronic but usually gets old somehow, so not a place to stay all night, but a good place to get your dancing feet warmed up. Downstairs is always cool. It has a cozy living room feel. There's a long bar and a comfy sitting area. It's nice for a chill drink before it too gets too crowded. But not only a place to come on the weekend. It's a hip place to throw a cold one back after work as well!

Atmosphere 4/5: If you liked the atmosphere from Saint Germain, you should like Prive since they did minor changes like moving the DJ Booth but it is mostly the same venue. Great atmosphere and great people there on Fridays and Saturdays. Service 4/5: Table service is good and the waitress is checking with you that you're doing good with your drinks. Overall a good nightclub to go to in Zurich if you're tired of Kauflauten.

Music was very good but the drinks are too expensive. A bottle of small beer was 10 CHF! Bartender was very efficient but not enough to handle all the crowds when it gets packed. And my goodness it does this extremely well. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The clientele is in no way predefined. There is an eclectic mix of young and old, nerdy and hipster, locals and foreigners. Basically it is a place where everyone can just feel comfortable. The best thing about this place though is the live music. I have been there quite a few times, with absolutely no idea of who/what was playing and each time pleasantly surprised with the quality of music that is on show. The bar is not that big which helps in making the atmosphere as it doesn't require many people to give it that full/pumping feel. And as much a people squeeze into the back, there is always room at the front for a little boogie. After the bands back up, a DJ is generally on hand to lay down some tracks and set the mood. One of my favourite bars in Zürich!
