Having abstained from pork for over 30 years, I trusted the menu when ordering Cajun Pasta--a meatless base with a paid Chicken add-on. Unbeknownst to us, pork sausage was heavily concealed inside the thick Alfredo sauce and vegetable base. We elected carry-out containers after sampling several bites and returned to our room with the intentions of getting some much needed rest. Hours later, my fiancée suffered acute gastrointestinal distress. I called front desk to be connected to Bistro 24, in hope of speaking directly to a manager or food representative, to no avail. Moments later I suffered severe biological rejection resulting in acute emesis upon our bedding. At that time I requested housekeeping. We were forced to get dressed and leave our room at the Silver Star Hotel to address the issue in-person at Bistro 24 inside the Golden Moon Casino. We confronted the manager and Executive Chef. The Chef openly admitted, in front of the manager, that he intentionally added pork sausage to the base because "everyone was asking for it to be", despite omitting it from the menu. This was a deliberate decision to alter a dish without disclosing a restricted protein. We filed an on-property complaint with resort security (Officer Iris, badge #47). Post-departure, we sent emailed complaints. Risk Management sent a Certified Mail package offering a nominal $500 each, conditional upon signing a Confidential Release Form. We rejected it. I offered a final window for them to outline their corrective menu policies, but they chose total silence. CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: I urge anyone with severe food allergies, religious/spiritual beliefs, or dietary restrictions to exercise extreme caution here. When a kitchen intentionally conceals pork inside a base sauce without labeling it, it creates a high-risk environment. You cannot trust this menu. Due to the resort's total lack of accountability, I am formally escalating this to the Choctaw Gaming Commission and the Office of the Tribal Chief for a full regulatory audit. This was honestly one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. We came in on a Monday night too a sparsely sat restaurant. Nevertheless there were 4 waitresses which was more than enough. Unfortunately, the wait staff spent more time talking and joking with each other than serving. It took them 30 minutes to take our order and then 50 minutes to tell me they didn't have the kind of cheese I wanted for my hamburger. So all in it took 1 hour for a burger! AN HOUR FOR A BURGER!! In that time, I watched them serve 1 other table of 4, watched 1 table of 1 pay. Watched a waitress break a glass, poorly sweep it up and then saw another person come by and mop the glass around. In all this time our waitress never came by to check on us, never refilled our drinks or checked on our food. A different waitress delivered my food, again an hour after I ordered it. We asked for the manager after finally getting my food. The manager/floor supervisor was apologetic but also full of excuses. Instead of correcting the staff he started doing their work for them. Including bringing us our bill and refilling our drinks. While going through the bill another patron, having just sat down, and upon hearing our report of the service, got up and left. The manager did give us a discount on the bill for the poor service but I'd much rather have had a good dining experience. I hate to say this but I think age is a factor. All of the waitresses were in their early to mid 20s and really had no work ethic. The manager was similarly aged, maybe slightly older, and didn't know how to manage his team. I was here with my husband, our daughter, and two of her friends. We were seated and waited almost a half an hour for our waitress. She only came after I went to the front to ask what was going on. Before that, the waitress that was assigned to our table (Nikilette) served a table of one that came in WELL AFTER we did. It was our last night in town and we wanted to have some fun and a quick bite to end the night. I'm not sure who is in charge of the overnight staff, but this was so unacceptable and I expected more from this establishment. This is a bizarre restaurant for two reasons. One, it's called Bistro 24 but it's not open 24 hours. Two, the staff is friendly (all Choctaw Nation) and they're constantly smiling but they're super slow with everything. I kept imagining they were going into kitchen and taking peyote, then returning 22 minutes later as happy zombies. It once took 15 minutes just to get water. I asked one waitress what dressings they had for the salad. She said, "Ranch, Thousand Island, and I can't remember the rest." The good news is that the food is excellent, hence the four stars. The prime rib is only available on Fri, Sat, and Sun. It's highly recommended. The burger is great (even the pickle, which I always cut up and put on burger). The roasted chicken was solid but a little too much white meat for me. Veggies on side were superb. The Turkey Club was huge and tasty, and even the bacon was hot (hard to find). Fries are excellent. The only thing that was just okay were the wings (imo). If you play here, I definitely recommend eating here over the buffet, which is WAY overpriced based on quality you receive. read more

This place is inside the Golden Moon Casino on the Pearl River Resort. We met friends there for breakfast. There was a crowd but we were seated right away. I had a big breakfast, three eggs, sausage, hash browns and biscuits. I always like a big breakfast when someone else makes it. This was great. Actually too much for me to finish. I've been to the Bistro several times over the years and this was the e best in a long time. Because of the crowd the service was a bit slow but the server was attentive and funny. I ordered the bistro beef on welk, and let me say that it was absolutely amazing!! It came with fries and it was only 13 bucks. There was meat spewing out of the sides and the thin beef was so flavorful!! My only complaint is the "bacon jam" that's put on the top of the sandwich. This little gem is located inside of the Golden Moon Casino. For the most part it is extremely busy. It's busy probably because it is open 24 hours... Hence Bistro 24... well I think it is the best eatery that this casino has. Now let me just explain the Golden Moon is a part of the Pearl River Resorts there are several restaurants that are located within the facility however Bistro 24 is the best in comparison to the others with the exception of Philip M's(which is a fine dine). Bistro 24 offers a constant menu all 24. It includes breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Now let's get to the taste.. First let me say that the food is prepared fresh to order. So we had the catfish sandwich, a house salad and pork chop. Let me just say that the food was spectacular! The pork chop was flavorful, moist and juicy! The potatoes and veggies that came with it needed a little help but they will do in a tiff! Now the catfish was seasoned well BUT... it wasn't fried hard enough. It was falling apart! It typically come with a brioche bun... I substituted for toast which was a fantastic opinion. I opted for the baked potato instead of fries. Now the gumbo was extremely skeptical. Since I'm from New Orleans I know what gumbo is really supposed to taste like so seeing some gravy in a bowl of sausage and shrimp swimming in it doesn't make it gumbo! Much to my surprise this gumbo dish that they offer isn't that bad. It was a good knock off.. it was so tasty that I took a bowl home. And I saved the best for last... Worst restaurant I have been too in a while. The front desk lady didn't want to serve me and my family for over an hour. I waited on appetites for over two hours. I finally left and the front desk lady decided to call the cops on me for no reason. She said the was better than me. I have never dealt with such pore service in my and I'm white. First and last time trying here, I asked my wife to go somewhere we have not tried and we chose this place. I ordered the gumbo as an app, when it arrived it was ice cold and had to sent that back. When it arrived back at the table after about 4-5 minutes it was piping hotttt. It is amazing how hot a commercial microwave will get something. I had a descent taste but was more like an ettouffee rather then a gumbo and the shrimp were not peeled (found 4 shrimp not peeled and very small) I got the chicken fried steak for entree, it tasted just like a pre-breaded Sysco chicken fried steak, definitely not homemade, the gravy was pack gravy but was good as well, the mashed potatoes was a pleasant surprise but after a high note the "Seasonal"vegetables were al-dente which I didn't mind but were very under seasoned. My wife ordered the hamburger with everything including the kitchen sink , she enjoyed it but could not eat but half. To sum everything up it was mediocre for sure not worth another trip. read more
