Really wanted to like it here but was very disappointed with how they handled the money. They just…read moreseemed pretty money grubbing, and it just made it a little unpleasant. I mean yes there is no entrance fee, but that really is just if you want to go to the greenhouse where they sell plants and greenery, and also food. As for anything else, you have to pay for it. You have to pay $5 a person to go to the pumpkin patch, where you can pick up a pumpkin from the ground and then pay again for the pumpkin, which was fairly expensive as well. Honestly, it was still was fun for my 4 yr old granddaughter. We left the pumpkin patch to buy tickets for the mini train , 4 minute train ride which was $7 per person. We then wanted to go back to the pumpkin patch and they said we couldn't go, because once you leave, you can't return. I was not aware of this, as I guess I didn't read the small print. We wanted to get back our pumpkins , that we left in the patch to go on the train and hang out and take some pics. . They were pretty rigid about it too. I told them that we paid for tickets and that I was sure they remembered us, which they did, but clearly were instructed not to let people leave and come back. Although it was the weekend, it was still comfortable , in terms of not uncomfortably crowded. You also have to pay for the hayride and for the pumpkin bounce. Keep in mind, this is all not in a huge area, so the rides are fairly short. There is a small parking lot, and ample parking on the street. We did purchase a pie and it was absolutely delicious. Peaches were perfectly cooked, so for $28, I was at least satisfied with that purchase. I have to say, with all the fall festivals on Long Island, I don't think I would return to this one.

Went here on Saturday in September and it was surprisingly empty. This is basically a nursery with…read morenothing to do. Our party of 5 was charged $40+tax just to enter. You have to pay extra for everything there and there really is very little to do. There is nothing for older kids at all. They have a very small bounce house and barrel ride both which cost extra $$. You can only do each activity one time. We were there for maybe 15 minutes. The hayride was probably the most pitiful one I've ever been on. It goes around the pumpkin house on a small patch of lawn with pumpkins that you have to pay to purchase. The hayride and the plastic duck races were the only thing you could do with the price of admission. They should not charge admission at all imo. My backyard is more exciting. When I went to ask about the bounce house tickets I mentioned there wasn't very much to do. The owner was very defensive. We left shortly after that conversation. I told her we wouldn't be returning when I left. She followed us out yelling. I actually had to tell her to back off and leave us alone after she almost knocked down one of my two year olds. Someone else in the parking lot told me they would even let them in to look at the flowers with out paying admission. They were a couple without kids with them and they lived nearby. Honestly just AVOID.

EAT YOUR HEART OUT HOME DEPOT…read more My wife and I were driving there for our first time purely on a hunch looking for a rose fertilizer that we couldn't find any where else. I don't normally give 5 stars to an establishment solely on a whim but Starkie caught me by surprise. Their plants for one looked healthy and weren't beat up by a lack of water or crated in like a surplus haul that we have seen at Home Depot. This Garden center was huge and made us feel that we were out on a farm in Amish Country. The whole Garden Center sits on a 1.2 to 1.5 or 57,000 square foot plot selling hard to find items that one would never see at Home Depot nor Lowes. *Large Parking Lot *The grounds clean, shelf items organized, cashiers eager to help you. Main building open and airy with a huge skylight allowing for plenty of natural lighting. *Property consists of 4 main buildings each dedicated to their own service of sales. Even though our purchase was small and our stay was brief, this Garden Center actually made for a lasting impression of quality on us. It is hard to predict if we will be ever purchasing again from them because of cost and distance from our home but at least for now it will be something to consider. *The Review Guru Long Island NY

Aisles of plants nicely organized, she found the sale sections and picked up some to take home. It was surprising to see that they have goats on the premise. I don't know much about price of plants but they seem reasonable. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice!
