One word sums up this place-Honest! Larry and his family have built a solid following in Bismarck because they're transparent and they know their stuff. Every time I visit I learn a few new things about what to look for, what's a good investment, and how to build my grading skills. There's no pressure to buy, but there's a ton of temptation if you're a coin fanatic. They have inventory that spans decades and centuries. If you're looking for something special they will find it. Lots of coin collections that commemorate life's milestones like births, graduations, etc. Beginners can walk away knowing they weren't ripped off. Advanced collectors will enjoy exchanging stories with Larry and his family, too. They're well connected in the industry. It's located in downtown Bismarck with a variety of local restaurants and shops. Parking is easy and free- so no need to lose coins to buy coins. read more

I went here to get some coins appraised several years ago. The older gentleman was horribly rude and I planned on never returning. Started going elsewhere in another town and was happy with that. Out of convenience I went there again as I needed some coin holders and a few coins, plus wanted a few things appraised. They could not have been nicer and more helpful. Explained things to me about my appraisal. I was very happy with dealing with them and their help with everything I came for. Will continue to go there again. read more

I love collecting coins. This is my favorite place in Bismarck. They don't lie to you or overprice you. I'm not sure the name of the guy helping me but he must be an owner/manager. He helped me find everything I wanted for very fair pricing. I've bought around 40 coins in the last year or two and always left happy. If you're looking to sell coins you think are worth a lot don't expect to get more than they're worth. People don't understand that. They're a business so they need to make money not lose money but they're fair. They know their coins. I don't know anyone by name from being there only 5 times in 2 years but I'll never go to another coin shop in this town again and I've been to them all. Thanks to whoever helped me. read more

Thought it was great place. Have done 4 or 5 different transactions with them is the past and have been satisfied. Then yesterday I stopped in to sell some silver and one of the people working just verbally attacked me I couldn't even get a word in not that I was trying to argue or anything. He didn't even look at what I had and stated that the junk I brought in was fake and if I didn't buy it from them he wouldn't even look at it. I asked if he could just determine if what I had was in fact real and he said no I'm not going to waste my time and I got another customer whose spending alot of money here so no don't bring those to me. Was kind of shocked because they have been very friendly to me in the past. The guy that berated me even followed me out into the hall outside of the shop. Needless to say will NOT go back there ever again and don't recommend to anyone. Stay away read more

I shopped at this store for a few years. The employees always seemed irritated and moody, but polite none the less. Over the years, I spent something like $500 to $600 on coins at this store. Well times get tough, I needed some extra money after Christmas, so I took a couple coins out of my collection to sell to them. One of the coins I bought from them six months prior for $125, of course they always knock $5 off so you think your getting the deal of the century! Anyways, Mr. Moody takes my coin and tells me it's a common year and is only worth $20! So, why did they charge me $120 for it 6 months earlier? I guess I'm the dumba** customer that deserves to get RIPPED OFF! I will not be returning to this sh*t hole store again! Thought I'd support our local businesses, instead of shopping online.... Buyers and sellers be warned! I give these S.O.Bs negative 3 stars for being RICHARDS! read more

I was referred by a competitor who could not accommodate me. I was surprised to see the variety in stock and reasonable prices. For example I know I can go and by a variety of silver bars or rounds a little above spot any time. I was particularly impressed with the amount of designs and quality rounds available. Two thumbs up! read more

Mark and Larry are very unprofessional and quite moody. Do not ask them any questions if you visit their shop (unless you don't mind getting yelled at and/or you don't mind hearing them whine). Do not speak unless spoken to either. If you accept everything you are told and like saying the words "OK" and "Yup" while being SPOKEN AT, you will get along with both Mark and Larry. You will also be considered and called a friend, bud, buddy, or pal, often throughout the conversation. Lastly, if you agree to ANYTHING with either of them, make certain it is immediately put into writing, as their spoken word is as good as worthless. read more
