Great BBQ in the southern style. Very moist beef brisket that was outstandingly prepared. The moist meat was so tender, not overdone. The added sauces made it spectacular. The pulled pork was also moist and hot. The temperature was served nice and hot that was an extra surprise. Fried green tomatoes were cut nicely and seasoned as was the fried okra, tender on the inside and nicely done. Baked beans and green beans were really good too and not overcooked. Service was outstanding and so friendly. If you are passing thru Tupelo this is a local must try bbq.

My kiddo and I in complete agreement with this place!

Our first stop on our road trip to the Gulf. Maybe we were starved this day. Or maybe this was just the bomb dot com! I'm gonna say the latter. We started with an order of Onion Rings and Mushrooms! Tasty. I ordered the Catfish Po Boy. I thought it was the most amazing Po boy I'd ever eaten and was completely satisfied with my choice ... until I tried the Hubs Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. It was this mounded up meat (not a fried patty) that was tender and incredibly flavorful!! I stopped myself at only stealing three bites. Add in to this amazingness the baked beans and we left stuffed little piggies! Way to prove to us KC locals that y'all know BBQ

Driving in from WI, we wanted southern BBQ. We are so glad we stopped at Bishops. The food is incredible. Some of the best BBQ we have eaten. We highly recommend Bishops. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. Do not miss out on Bishops.

Outstanding meal for the money. Don't be put off by the outward appearance of Main Street location. Best BBQ meal I've ever had!

Great food!!! We pass by Tupelo often!! Will come here as often as possible!…read more Oysters yum Wedge yum Scallops and steak....yes!!

I was in town for a couple of weeks and ended up at Forklift twice. Overall? Good. Nothing…read morelife-changing, but solid enough that I went back. Visit #1: I ordered the Voo Doo Tots and the prime filet. The tots? Okay, these were amazing. Like, I could've just eaten those and been happy. The steak was a solid prime filet--cooked well and enjoyable, even if it didn't quite steal the show from the tots. Visit #2: I tried the Chef's Charcuterie Board (which, plot twist, is served on a plate... not a board) and the Forklift Fried Chicken. The chicken plate was a little disappointing for me. The collard greens and cornbread were definitely "not how momma made them" (kidding... kind of). Still edible, just not memorable. Both visits left me satisfied, but it's more of a "stroll back" than a "run back" kind of place. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which always bumps a restaurant up a notch in my book. I didn't try one of their Old Fashioneds--apparently what they're known for--but I did go for the Fire of Mordor cocktail. Tequila-based, delicious, and honestly the name alone sold me. Cozy restaurant, and we had reservations both times even though it wasn't packed. Overall, Forklift is a nice spot to land for a good meal in Tupelo.

What a gem we discovered on our journey through the South! On an overnight stop in Tupelo, us weary…read moretravelers from California decided upon dining at Park Heights just across the street from where we were staying. The service the minute we walked in was attentive, warm and friendly. Even staff who weren't waiting on us wished us a nice meal. And nice it was! My guy and I shared the scallops appetizer, the mixed salad with peach, and the Branzino. Everything was delightful and a symphony to the palate! Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and presentation! Our hostess and waitress was Ryle and she was so polite and warm with her southern charm. The couple we were dining with had the halibut and were easily accommodated when they requested potatoes instead of grits. The restaurant was not busy so we had extra attention. We felt so well cared for and enjoyed the ambiance and delicious food for quite a while. I hope we come back to Tupelo again someday. We will definitely want to return to this place! Oh, and our back waiter was also a nice, courteous and responsive young man who attended to all our needs as well. I give him high praises as well. Whomever manages this restaurant is doing a fine job!
