Cozy environment, friendly staff. (They have been helping me learn Swedish!)
And they KNOW their beer. So ask questions! I'm always trying something new.
I always feel welcome here whether I am on my own or in a group. (That's very rare in Sweden, I have found).
As an outsider, it took me a while to realize that you're not really welcome at any restaurant unless you arrive in your standard group of 2, 4, 6, 16, etc. Swedes go out exclusively in groups (as far as I can tell). So, if you are here alone on business, good luck.
Menu items are tricky. Try the nightly special. Sometimes it is over the top fantastic. I also like the fish and chips, bookman's toast, oxfile and a few others.
Overall though, I find myself coming here 2-3 times a week. Oh, and you can eat at the counter which just isn't done anywhere else in town. (Only in Sweden do you open a sushi bar with no bar!)
Oh, and it's a pub, so you order/pay at the bar, but they bring the food to your table. If you are traveling alone on business this is also great since you can leave when you want, instead of waiting forever for the check to arrive.
So, if you find yourself stuck in Linköping and you like beer, this place is a must. Enjoy. read more
