I have been here a few times. It's "okay". The portions you get are not huge, but they are generous enough.

1st time here for breakfast and Connor my waiter was wonderful. Unfortunately, the breakfast I had was less than wonderful. I had egg scramble with brisket, bacon and it comes with bbq sauce I got on the side. I didn't use the sauce at first and the brisket was not moist and had an odd not so pleasant flavor, and the bacon pieces were so fatty and not rendered. BBQ sauce didn't help. It came with side potatoes, which were oilly, didn't taste fresh, lacked seasoning, and were so limp. The side biscuit with gravy wasn't too bad. Didn't taste quality in this food, however if you are just looking for quantity, this is your place. read more

Thank goodness we enjoyed the company we were with because the food was "meh" and the service even worse! Got stuck out on the hotter than hell patio with no umbrella, because it was broken! Frankly, for what they charge, I expect all equipment to work! The "kids" working there need a lesson in appreciation and humility! "Sorry" and a giggle may make you feel better and while appreciated, doesn't fix the problem. As for the food....Large portions of greasy , over seasoned, burned potatoes and a dry, fried piece of chicken that tasted more like liver than poultry! Two brisket burritos with literally NO brisket in them....we checked! Overall, a huge disappointment! I only hope more people wise up and demand better! Great place, hearty portions and the food is great! First time here, the wait was long, but we managed to snatch a spot at the bar, which was a plus. The bloody mary was very tasty and house made - they have giant party sizes too! The bacon is thick cut and delicious, and the french toast biscuit was so unique and bomb! Potatoes were okay, but your bread options are plentiful. The portion sizes were enough to share, which I may do next time. Vibe is fun, everyone is enjoying themselves and having a good time. It's been on my radar to try this restaurant for awhile. So glad we finally made it in! Atmosphere is that of a bar & grill with the addition of lots of nods to the restaurants mascot the hog. We were greeted and seated immediately, which I hear is not always the case. Not the lack of friendliness but the fact that there was a seat available right away. In eyeballing others selections on the way to our table and seeing others photos on Yelp my hubby and I decided to share some menu items. We came for an early dinner and didn't want to leave uncomfortably stuffed. We got the Carne asada fries as an app and the BLT con huevos for our entree. Opted for the salad as the side, since we already had a plate of fries. The app was devine. I was worried it might be too cheesy, and the fries would get soggy but nope it was perfection. Portion was definitely a shareable size. BLT was also very good. Good amount of all the fixings and the bacon was thick and full of flavor. We also really enjoyed the side salad. It had fresh ingredients, a mix of greens, and yummy bacon crumbles. Made us actually consider returning for a full size salad in the future. I also chose to try a BYO mule. I picked the blackberry option, since those are in season right now. Yummy puree of blackberries I did find and topped with a plump juicy one to garnish the top. Drink was refreshing & mixed well. Our server was very attentive & friendly. She gave us suggestions on the popular items, how much food to order and refills on our drinks. We looked over the breakfast menu and saw lots of things that seemed like winners. I think definitely worth bookmarking for a breakfast or brunch outing in the near future. If your crew is into creative mimosas, bloody Mary's etc they've got an extensive & creative list of those too. Including something in a lawn flamingo. :) Restaurant is located on the end of a strip mall. Parking lot could potentially get busy, but there is lots of additional parking nearby behind the building if needed. read more

Be hungry! We came for dinner with a crowd of about 12 and had amazing service on a game day. They also have great BSU game day happy hour specials! The food is delicious and plentiful! If you're willing to wait an hour to be seated, you will not regret it! There's a wait for a reason! We came after a hike with a hunger needed to be fed! We ordered the breakfast tacos and the Nashville hot scramble. They do not play around with their pancakes! They're about the size of a medium pizza and as thick as a waffle! Their home style potatoes are perfectly cooked and flavored. A little crispy, a little soft! Their tacos are crazy messy, but so dang yummy! Love this place! read more

When I spotted the smoker out back I knew I had to try the brisket. Little bit of a wait for weekday brunch for 2, about 10 minutes. Not a huge place but definitely huge portions! Brisket came with 2 eggs, potatoes, and a choice of side. I opted for fruit. The portions were definitely generous and I especially loved that the fruit included a good mix of things (melon, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries). I've had a lot of excellent brisket, so this was a little underwhelming, but still well-cooked. Not my favorite seasonings I've had on brisket. The eggs were cooked just as ordered. The try tip was amazing. The potatoes were the bomb. It came with this giant pancake. Bf got the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. My daughter and I went in for breakfast as we had heard good things about the place. We got out food and first off, it looked like the took the left overs from prior customers plates and put on ours, Second, there was so much syrupy stuff on the bacon and the fried potatoes it was a sugary disgusting mess. And if that is their idea of a biscuit, they need to take some cooking classes because that was the worst biscuit ever. The gravy tasted like it was made with sugar instead of flour. All in all, and I am 74 years young, that was the worst breakfast I have ever had in my life and my daughter and myself could not even eat it. We sent all that food right back. While the food & service was excellent, this was NOT an enjoyable breakfast. The noise level was painful on my ears! The acoustics seems to be made to make the sound louder than it needs to be. We where there around 9am an it was only about half full. Getting back to the food and service, I'm on a Keto diet and it can be hard to find a keto friendly meal, I asked the server if she had any recommendations and she made a couple of suggestions. Really sad we didn't enjoy our visit. We were not greeted upon entering. The hostess (dressed up as grinch) looked at her watch and said "how many". We told her 4 (time was 8:50). We then followed her to the booths which all happened to be dirty and she turns and says "my server has been fucking slacking". Then takes us back down to a table. 5 minutes later we see her and another female carrying shots to the bathroom. However, the gentleman that served us was great. As a business owner myself I would be mortified to know this kind of behavior was happening in my establishment. We frequent all the restaurants in the area quite often but this one will not be one we plan to come back to. The food was good but not good enough to take a family back to. There were 2 younger employees (both female) acting inappropriate the entire time. Humping each other in front of a guy at the bar. I have never seen anything like this in a restaurant. We almost left after the initial incident but wanted to see if it would get better but kept getting worse. If you have kids this is not a place to bring them. read more

Waitstaff was not 100% knowledgeable on what was on tap, but was friendly and cool about it, so no big deal. Seemed like they had house-smoked brisket and bacon, which was a big win. This was my 3rd time eating at this place. The first two were okay. Burger was over cooked the 1st time and not the fastest service. Second visit was also slower service but breakfast was decent. I came back a third time because it's right next to the theater, where we were headed next. Big mistake. This was the worst, and I repeat, the WORST service I've ever received at a restaurant. It wasn't even service, in fact. The hostess was nice enough. Sat us at a table which was her only job. But oh my, the server.... unbelievable. She took our drink and food order. She wasn't very quick doing either of these things but that wasn't the problem. After we got our food, she stopped helping us completely. Instead, she ran around with another employee (actually giggling and running through and then out of the restaurant). They both poured shots for themselves and took them in back and drank them. I never got a refill of my drink that was empty the entire time. It was so bizarre. I can only imagine she was drunk which is what must've made her forget about us? I thought about walking over to the bar to ask for a refill myself but the bartender was busy actually doing her job of cleaning up. Our server FINALLY came back over (after at least 20-30 minutes) and we quickly asked for the check before she forgot about us again. She took another ten minutes to bring our change over and didn't even bring the coins nor did she bring our receipt. I don't think there was a manager on duty considering everyone I saw working was standing around looking bored and relaxed. I can't imagine we will ever come back here. I've already emailed the owner and asked for him to contact me. Depending how that goes will determine if we ever come back. I saw another review that described a similar experience so I'm not sure I can hope for improvement. read more

Came in Tuesday morning for breakfast. The restaurant opened 5 minutes late. We were 1 of 2 groups that entered once they opened. When we received our breakfast we both noticed our potatos were very greasy to the point of sitting in a pool of grease. The biscuits and gravey were cold. The eggs were ruined by the amount of grease from the potatos. The best thing on the plate was the bacon. For a $20 meal it was very disappointing. read more

This is our new happy place. Everyone needs a happy place. Ours just has booze and giant pancakes. We visited Biscuit & Hogs on a Friday night around 7:30pm with a party of 6. We only had to wait a minute or two before we were sat. Some of the dining tables were round, which we loved! It gave us plenty of room plus we were able to see all of our friends and it was easy to talk to everyone. Much better than rectangle where you pretty much talk to the person on your left and right. However, it was absolutely freezing in there. Granted, I'm always cold...but it really was exceptionally cold. Let's talk about alcohol. I HATE when places price gauge on cocktails. It's always like a bajillion percent mark up. Not here. Not at Biscuit & Hog. Their every day prices are shocking. $3.49 for a mimosa...check! Gotta have one of those. But wait...$12 for a carafe of mimosa? Yes please!!!!! I'll change my order to that! But if that wasn't exciting enough, check out their happy hour where a ton of drinks are half off. Thank you Biscuit & Hog! But then there is the food. Huge proportions, especially for the price. My hubby and I split the pancake breakfast and we still brought home leftovers. Well our first time there but let's start with the good. Our server was very amazing she was on the ball and took amazing care of us. The restaurant is the typical strip mall type of restaurant but clean and had comfortable seating. Now to the bad. We had the fish. Way over breaded so the fish was mushy inside of the over crusted breading. There salad was awesome. Roasted reds were cooked very well but we're very under seasoned. We will go back but I think we will both lean towards there bbq and leave the seafood to somewhere where they understand how to cook fish. read more
