700 craft beers?!! Yes please!! I mean, wow, just wow. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've driven past this Shell gas station and just admired how "classic 50's style gas station" it looked and never stopped there for gas or even ventured into the mini-mart. Today was one of those days I was really pushing my "---" status on my vehicle and I was too tired to try my luck at gaslight warning roulette. While at the pump, I saw a sign on the mini-mart door that said "700 craft beers". Either I was just exhausted and hallucinating or this was in fact the best thing I've ever read posted on a gas station mini-mart front door. At this point, I had totally given up on gas station mini-mart beer selections and I've sadly conditioned myself to "like" Coors light due to the lackluster selection you find at these "convenient" stores. Well this "700 craft beers inside" was not a hoax to get you into this Shell Gas Station mini-mart, it's 100% legit. If you love and appreciate craft beer and you live in the Miami area, you must get to Biscayne Gas ASAP. I like to think that I'm very well versed in "beer" and craft beer and I've known and worked with a few cicerones in my time but this little mini-mart put my craft beer knowledge to shame. I would walk down each aisle and be comforted that I was aware of such beer on the shelf and then bam, it was like every 3 beers I was face to face with a stranger. Sheer amazement. I could spend hours in this place. The atmosphere here is unlike any gas station mini-mart I've ever ventured to in my life, you hear the gas station attendant talking "craft beer" with a customer and you are surrounded by an army of MiMo hipsters. Like seriously, where am I?? The reason I am knocking off a star is because I felt the beer selection very disorganized and lacked a logical organizational flow. I'm a type A, what can I say? It was also a busy Saturday night in Miami. I will definitely be back and next time I want to meet the mastermind behind this wonderful concept. A shell gas mini mart with an excellent beer selection? Sure it's MiMo, why not. I'm not really an oenophile (I drink anything dry, white, and on sale) so I can't speak for their wine selection, but they claim to have over 700 craft beers. It's quite a surprise. We needed gas and just pulled over, but the promise of craft beer beckoned me inside. Now, it is the size of a smaller than average mini mart, so they really cram in the beers. There isn't even room for someone to pass by you if you have the fridge door open. So it's not the most pleasant experience perhaps, but I'll take fancy beer where I can find it. I would have bought more probably if it wasn't such tight quarters but I didn't feel like spending the time tracking down some goose island urban wheat. I'd be more amenable to spending time browsing in a less cramped bottle shop or even total wine which is maybe a little charmless but down the road from my parents house and spacious so... 5 stars for the great beer and wine selection. actually unbelievable for the size of the place, nearly matches Total Wine in beer choices. Lots of deals to be had by digging around, but some of it is overpriced or price tagged differently than the exact same bottles. The guy at the store won't let me buy anymore beer because I left him a bad review. I told him we had been going in and trying to move past the bad service. We were just in three weeks ago and bought 3 bottles of PJ. The guy is disgusting and I am reporting them to the better business bureau. Happened on April 8th 2018 at 1:45PM. This is a discriminatory business. Do not shop here! My partner had a bad experience here in November of 2017 and and reported it to the man who presented himself as the owner. He apologized and pleaded for us to return. We are regulars as we live in the neighborhood and it's a convenient place so ultimately we ended up going back, trying to give them another chance, each time without any incidents. Today, out of the blue, the guy told us he saw the review my partner left on Yelp from before and now we were no longer allowed in the store. He was confrontational, accusatory, came out from behind the counter and literally kicked us out of the store. It was a horrible experience. No one should be treated like that. We will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

5 star beer selection but the place is a total mess. You can barely turn around in the aisles to see what they have. When you pick up a bottle, there is another bottle behind it of a totally different beer and beer style. If you have the patience to wade through this total mess then you can probably escape with some great beer. To be totally honest though you can find a lot of these beers elsewhere in Miami. I didn't see prices on a lot of the beer so I can't really tell you if they are reasonable, but my guess is that the prices are probably going to be a little better than some of the bottle shops elsewhere. I am a big fan of sour beers and I didn't see anything here that I couldn't find elsewhere so I probably won't be back but if you are looking for something unusual and want to dive in - go for it. read more

This place only gets one star because of it's amazing beer selection. I would've given them five stars based off of the beer selection but The fact that the prices are consistently inconsistent they trying charge 17.99 for a six pack of blue moon and jai alai beer it OUTRAGEOUS!! 12.99 for a bottle six pack of bud light! Get out of here that is nuts!!!! Whole foods is cheaper! But the beer selection is amazing the one star is coming because of the attitude and the pricing. I frequent this place because it is on my way from work home as well as just several blocks from my house making it super convenient which I would like with a store that has such a great beer selection... But every time I walk out of there I leave there feeling completely offended by the attitude the greasy hair cashier seems to give. If you put half in effort into trying to smile and communicate with his customers like he does at that stupid Bluetooth that he's always having a conversation on it's attached to his ears his customer service might go up...
