She was very accommodating to what I requested even though it wasn't part of her typical doula package. She met with myself, my spouse, and my 2 year old on multiple occasions prior to my labor to ensure my son would be comfortable with her and her children. When I went into labor around midnight she was quick to respond and was over to my house within 15 minutes so we could head to the hospital. She kept me updated with pictures and schedules while my son was in her care. She kept great track of what he did while in her care so I was able to see what happened while I was away. She even had an extra toothbrush for him to use while staying with her! She sent me photos of my son on various adventures having a blast with her children. I would highly recommend Michelle as a doula and as a childcare provider or sibling doula. She offered me pregnancy advice even though my focus for her services was on having a safe and friendly environment for my son to be in while my spouse and I were away at the hospital. Michelle was professional, easy to talk to, accommodating and loving while caring for my toddler. I would hire her back without a second thought if I needed her doula or nanny services again!

She also notified me, when her family was going to be staying at her house, on the same day as when my son, would be babysat by her. She communicated with me, that there were going to be 'new' people in the house, but that my son would be under her watch all day. I appreciated the information, because she didn't have to tell me, but did. Michelle also, hands out a one page: 'Toddler Report', that tells me what my son ate, what his bathroom breaks were + what his sleep habits were for that day. Additionally, she was flexible with me if my work schedule changed. I would definitely hire Michelle, because, she makes the daycare part of my day, stress free. I was always interested in having a homebirth since having my own bad experiences in hospitals. After seeing my mom friends have bad birth experiences in hospitals that interest quickly formed determination, I just didn't know how to go about it. Thankfully after posting on a local facebook group I was recommended Karen by name not just by one person but several people. I Always pictured myself finding someone Who was holistically minded whom I could learn from and very quickly when first speaking with her I realized Karen was exactly that. I'm so thankful we picked Karen for our home birth because my labor was not easy it was 30 hours long and I was not exactly the zen primal birther I had hoped to be I was throwing up crying and down right exhausted for the latter half of my birth and thinking omg how am I going to get this baby out who do I think I am?? But Karen was on top of it she coached me through the hardest parts and gave me and my perineum the support we desperately needed! Because of her I had an incredible birth that has empowered me so much through this postpartum period.
