This humble taqueria / birriería was a fantastic recharge zone for two weary travelers and F1 attendees in Mexico City. We stumbled upon this place while trying to escape the enthusiastic crowds attempting to escape the area surrounding Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez over the weekend. The servers were so gracious and everyone cooking and cleaning exhibited the wise and welcoming calm often found in rootsy barrio establishments around this incredible city. Nothing beats a few cold Victorias and some delicious piping hot consomé after days of marching in high altitude & hot sun. the quesabirría was my favorite but my amigo was very enthusiastic about the cabeza and lengua tacos with all the fixings. We made a point to hit this spot on two consecutive days as it was an incredible way to duck out of the crowds and take a break while trying to catch an Uber. This location is very cheerfully decorated and clearly a favorite of the locals. The warmth & kindness of our hosts won't be soon forgotten. read more
