We had just arrived into town and needed to grab some dinner. We happened to find this spot just by…read morelooking through reviews, but knew that we had made a good choice when, after telling the hotel valet who called the taxi for us and the taxi driver where we were headed, they both agreed that it was a really great spot to grab some food. Our taxi driver let us know that typically you need a reservation since the spot is so tiny that table space is limited. He was nice enough to call ahead for us and see if we needed one and made one just in case. We arrived and there was a big family in there as well as one or two other tables full, but we were lucky enough to be able to grab a table right away. For food, my boyfriend got the Chicharrón enchiladas, I got the enchiladas rojos, and we both shared an order of flautas (because duh). I initially ordered the enfrijoladas, but they happened to be out of beans, so those were a no-go. The enchiladas were so delicious. They were filled with shredded beef and the sauce was just to die for. We definitely gorged ourselves at the spot, so make sure when you come, you're hungry! I am a wine drinker and while they did have red wine there, it was on the sweeter side. So keep that in mind when you come here. It seems as though they mostly just serve beers and refrescos. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot. But do make sure that you call ahead and make a reservation.

From the moment we arrived the host/server was unfriendly and rude. No welcoming smile. It felt like everything was a chore for him. Almost like if he was doing us a favor by allowing us to be in his presence. It was quite bizarre, you would maybe think he was just having a bad day? During the same week we had gone by twice, at the top of the hour, hoping someone would default on their reservation (as we did not have one, we did not plan to go, reservations highly recommended) and we could have a table and both times we were met with this unfriendly spirit. I'm not one to write many reviews I just felt obligated to let others know of this "famous" restaurant that all of the "buzz" about this place is not met with the service you'd expect from an establishment with this kind of reputation. Not once did they come check on us to see if we needed anything or if we were satisfied with the food and service. We were just ignored until we needed to pay the bill. No hard feelings but I will not frequent this business again as they do not deserve my hard earned money. If you would like the same quality food, and friendly service go right across the street to Taquería "WENDY" their tacos dorados are much better, they actually have flavor and the pozole is great too. All of this with no attitude. Imagine that, what a business model, provide good food and friendly service. As they say in show business... you're only as good as your last job.

He brought us to this little restaurant-stand like place, I had very little expectations when we arrived but that all changed once I took a bite into one of these tacos. We each got two tacos each and had our driver join us for lunch. The tacos were on thin corn tortillas which I assume the lady here makes. You get to pick what you kind of want in them, I got one chicken or maybe both but marinated differently can't recall. The things weren't labeled and I didn't really want to ask the lady what everything was so I just pointed and things that looked appetizing. The tacos were really runny but that's how they are meant to be is what we were told. HELLO! These tacos were one of the best tacos I have eaten, I pretty much only think of these tacos when I think of this trip when it comes to food. I wish I had some like these back in LA. Also the red sauce here is on point! I'm bummed I can't find a website or anything on the internet about this place and luckily dropped a pinned location via Instagram during my travels to find it on Google maps by using the arrows from a name that popped up on the map nearby (Palms Tulum Luxury hotel), you just have to use the arrows going right until you see a building with straw roofing next to Center Bikes and Cervefrio. After following the sign up to the restaurant, we were greeted by the most hospitable owner, Jesus. He sat with us and went over his menu and allowed us to basically create our perfect meal. The food is homestyle with fresh ingredients and a great presentation, too. Once we were done, we were given a tour of the establishment and Jesus' collection of interesting historical photos. It's clear that Rincon Tipico cares and honors not only its food, but every person who walks through the door. If you ever find yourself in Zacatecas, this is a must visit!
