I'm guessing that they don't have specialist knowledge but the shop is definitely interesting in its content - just about anything to do with outdoors but in a limited sor of way. I was simply browsing, so if you need something do check it out! I would if I were local. As Wareham is a small town, I imagine the pprices would be slightly above average.

The roof top bar has reasonably priced food, basic entertainment and beautiful views out to sea. While we we there they used the large playing field to put an absolutely massive bouncy castle in. They also have a few security guards wandering around who are courteous which is a nice peace of mind. Only very slight negatives here are that the pitches are relatively closely packed together so if you have small kids and have a noisy pitch next door or vice versa it may be a challenge. However, it's really a lovely site in a lovely location and that shouldn't put you off. Some reviews mention the proximity of the cliffs but they are at the end of a long walk and a beach so unless you aren't watching your children for ages is not a problem at all. Take your fishing rods as the beach is great for Mackerel fishing so good to spend some time fishing with the kids. People were catching loads without effort.

The Inside Park sits in the middle of a largish farm, just a couple of miles outside Blandford Forum. It has around 120 pitches, a fanastic kids adventure playground and several paths through the adjacent woods to keep you and the dog happy. The site happily takes bookings for tents, caravans and motorhomes although you need to bear in mind if camping off season, that the ground can get quite wet so you may not be able tow your caravan off site your self. Not to worry, however, as the site manager has a tractor to help out. Facilities are good, albeit just in one place which could be a fair walk if you're in the top field with a tent. I suspect most campers coming here have a caravan with facilities built in. If you have a campervan like us, facilities are fine for fresh water, chemical toilet disposal but there's no convenient gulley for disposal of your waste water. You'll need a long hose and some patience. On site there's a shop with a reasonably good stock of food & camping items, a laundry, showers and a games room with 3 pool & one table football table. The secluded nature of the site appeals to those who want something a bit quieter, out of the way with plenty to hand.

There's a little takeaway van that could do with staying open just a little bit longer, but the shop is fairly well stocked. the loos/showers are very clean and the children's play area makes you wish that they had this kind of stuff when you were little. All in all - very nice!

Sandy Balls is easy to find and the welcome centre is very friendly and come out from the building to great you whilst your still in the car. All the cabins are easy to locate as the site is well signposted. The cabins are brilliant! They all come with an outside picnic bench and barbeque, with barbeque equipment stored in each of the cabins. Are cabin had three bedrooms, a double ensuite and two twin rooms. Probably only one of the places I've stayed at where the twin rooms were a decent size. I really liked that they both included small dressing tables with a draw and stool underneath. The wardrobe space was large but the standard few coathanger provided. The bedding was great but my only complaint was I got very hot and would have liked a thinner duvet. The cabins were very good a keeping heat in and were always opening windows to cool down a little. The ensuite and bathroom were lovely, the best feature being the led lights intergrated into the mirror. The living room/ dining room was well balanced, plenty of room for 4 people to set on the sofas but I think a 6th guest would have found it a squeeze. The kitchen was great, all the appliances looked new, we found the fridge a little small but we did have a lot in there. Would have much preffered a chopping board that wasn't glasss but appart from that the kitchen was really easy to use. I big plus point for me was the arcade games! I really enjoyed having them there and had a lot of fun playing on the 2p machines and table hockey. The cafe/restaurant and pub were very good in their own right and didn't feel like they were there just for people coming to Sandy Balls for holiday. We won the weekly quiz and had a great evening not living the holiday park.

There are two main areas in this camp site, one for families and one empty field where you can park your car and stick your tent up next to it. This place also caters for electrical hook ups for caravans and the like. Facilities include a small shop (on-site) to get the basics, gas canisters and toilets and showers which are free to use 24 hours a day, so that you don't have to relieve yourself in the bushes in the middle of the night (hurrah!). This camping site is in a pretty good location if you are interested in doing some local site-seeing as it's a short drive away from Corfe Castle and Swanage and just outside Wareham. It's also pretty close to Lulworth Cove (the favourite holiday destination of Mike Leigh's smug vegetarians Candace-Marie and Keith). The price of pitching isn't hugely expensive considering what you pay these days and the facilities provided make it worth it. Look out for farm shops on the road down to Corfe Castle.

It is great for exploring the forest. The campsite is really big, we came in the weekday and it was fairly quiet but as soon as the weekend came the place became very very busy with campers - iot looked like a festival! its obviously extremely popular so I would defo recommend booking if you are going for a weekend. If you like something on your campsite to keep you occupied then don't come here, it is not the sort to have entertainment etc, in fact there is only the reception which is open in daylight hours where you can buy milk, torch batteries etc, there are toilets and showers, and that is pretty much it. It is a couple of miles out of Brockenhurst so you need a car - we came on foot and soon became good friends with the local taxi driver! Fabulous walks, and believe me being a city girl it isn't really my thing, but I loved it here. I imagine this would be even more fun if you got a big group of friends / families together to come here as you can make your own fun and get to spend some proper quality time. Brilliant.
