Swelled up Arm due to lord knows what.

Black People stay away from Biolife. PART 2. Continuation. - At some point I after the arm wraps were applied on my Arm, I noticed I bled through them, because it wasn't wrapped right. Rather than the wrap to seal the needle Hole, they just " wrapped it", rather than sealed it. - It happened multiple times and even Bled on my Shirt. I asked for a Band Aid. - The following Donation I was told I was deferred, I asked why, and I was told because I asked for a Band Aid. I was shocked at the pettiness of this, and I mentioned it. She removed the Deferral and I was allowed to Donate. - On Another Bleeding through the wrap incident, when I complained that I kept Bleeding through the Wrap, the " CAUCASIAN GLASSES WEARING PONY TAILED/ Pale Phlebotomist, threatened me that I go I had a problem with the Policy I'd be deferred. I responded l with, why the threat over me mentioning that the wrapping isn't functional. I told them " you know what? Never mind, go ahead and wrap it up. And as soon as the wrapping was done, before I even walked away from the Bed, I bled on my shirt and Shoes. I had an " I told you so look on my face". - The last time I was there and insulted of " Smelling" was March 30th. As I approached the OVERWEIGHT ASIAN PASSING PHLEBOTOMIST MANAGER who sometimes is in the Offices to the Left, I had my shades on which I was clearly going to take off soon as got there, she goes, " are those glasses prescription?" I said no, as I took them off and Sat down. At that point my Spider senses were ringing, she tried to use that as a reason to either pick a fight, or Berate me for. - As soon as I Sat down, I noticed she Grabbed a Card used for sending Donors to the Speak to someone in the offices and she wrote on it. I knew something was wrong and asked. She said I had a Smell. I asked what kind of smell? She said like I didn't shower. - I told her this was the second time I was being insulted after, 67 Donations and 134 Patients treated, I was accused and insulted a second time of Smelling. - I went to the Office and it was the Small Statured Asian looking Manager I'd spoken to before, after the first time she accused me of smelling. - I wasn't going to Sit down for another Humiliation Ritual Attempt, that's when I out my phone and told her I'd recorded the initial Sit Down she had with me. Told her " you think you're a Doctor? - The Arrogance of these people is Delusional. They Collect BLOOD DONATIONS. They're not saving lives, the DONORS ARE THE ONES SAVING LIVES!!!! - After I walk out I asked a Black Female Phlebotomist to please Sniff me, and if I smelled she should tell me and I wouldn't be offended. She did, and said no I didn't. - Then I asked for a Manager and TYSON ( Caucasian Male, that I thought was descent) request go somewhere private. - After I headed to the conference room with Tyson, a Hispanic Heavy set Female Manager comes into the Room as well. - I let them know that these insults had been going on forever and if Documented them. - They tell me it's against Policy to Record, I tell them how else was I supposed to prove what they were doing? - The Heavy Set Hispanic lady and Tyson claim they they can smell an odor but it smelled like " Laundry After smell that didn't have scented sheets, so clearly not Body odor. - Then she analyzed me dressing and says I'm dressed nice but.....the nerve of these people to treat this situation like a Panel where I'm being Judged. - I mentioned that week prior after my Donation I was in the "Post Vital" sit down area replenishing Water before I walked out, when a " Dark Haired, Feminine passing, Male Supervisor, who knew me and I'd spoken to and complained to about the insults I was receiving, and how if this continued I would take legal action, walks to me and asks if I was "New", mind you this Person is Familiar with me, I told him I just got donating, ( clearly I'm sitting in the Post Donation area, duh) - He goes again, are you New? ( This was this Pretentious Pricks way of telling me to " Get the F out, if you're done Donating) I cut to the chance and told him " Do you think I want to be here? It's about 100 Degrees outside, I'm replenishing Water I lost during my Donation. I just got up and left. - Two Days later is when the OVERWEIGHT Manager accuses me of smelling. - BIOLIFE has lots of Racist, miserable people working there, and they're White and Hispanic. - I noticed their Method. After a while they intentionally start Picking on and provoking Black Donors to either Crash Out to get Deferred or Arrested. - Tyson sends me this Email and creates a different narrative to what I'd been experiencing out of Guilt and fear. - Not one word of their insults of me Smelling. Thank God I recorded it. - Ptoo to all of you, at Biolife ( Minus the Black Women) - These people are living Medical Doctor delusion, meanwhile all they do is COLLECT DONATIONS. - They're not heroes, they're not in Med School. It takes Months to become a Phlebotomist,

four days after donating here in Lakewood bio life this is the first time this has happened to me after donating blood they really messed up my arm it has been in pain since Monday it is now Friday hopefully they get a new staff and new equipment

0/10 don't recommend, this is the second time that i have had a bad experience with the girls. The first time was my right arm with the lady with the red hair, told her the needle was painful and she just looked at it and said "the needles fine" and my arm looks insane the next day. This most current time, i could already tell i was going to have a bad experience with this girl because she was just moping around acting like she didn't want to be there. She puts my needle in and asks me if i have pain or discomfort and i said yes it hurts. She says ok im gonna adjust it: i immediately felt so much pain and she throws her arms up and says "i have a hematoma" waiting for someone to help her i guess. Nobody is helping so i have to raise my voice and say "can someone take this out" then the male with the long hair did and asked me if i wanted to do the other arm. First of all im traumatized with the other arm and second of all, IM IN PAIN... LITERAL TEARS and they want me to do my other arm??? helllo?? are you insane. NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY OR AN ICE PACK AT ALL. I had to get an ice pack from the amazing supervisor with the copper hair and only because she asked if they gave me one and said she should've given me one. This place is ridiculous, for me to be in there crying from the pain and the LEAST that could've been done was give me at least half compensation since i couldn't even get an apology. Tyson was ridiculous as well, leaving me a voicemail at 8pm just to tell me that my compensation stands and didn't even apologize either LOL. No wonder i've heard employees bad mouthing him, he has an ego up his a**. A jokeeeee

Hematoma caused by a tech named Jasmine. She had a weird attitude and lost the vein

A tech named Jasmine lost my vein and dug around to find it. She had a funky attitude. 10 mins layer and my arm feels pressure as if it's going to pop from the pain. I call her over and then she calls over another tech named Karina. They eventually call the nurse over to check me. At this point, they stop the donation and check my vitals 3 times. Normally, the check-in staff is nice but the people injecting you are weird. Over reviews have similar experiences. I will file a complaint.

Jessica J.

Great customer service professional phlebetomist It is in a safe area which I love also

Barely left a scratch. 5 other patients I spoke with had gone a dozen or more times without complaints.

TLDR: First time donor. Everything quick & fine. Courteous, helpful staff. Sick halfway through. Still got paid. Wait wasn't bad at any point. Nurse, phlebotomist & check-in staff were all courteous, professional, and helpful with questions. I believe the care level was appropriate. As a first timer, nothing to directly compare. Each step was explained well and no problem with the process. Felt nauseous halfway through. Multiple staff immediately stepped up. Feet elevated, ice packs, symptoms and vitals checked, fluids given back and extra saline administered per nurse's orders. Maybe a little different for each person!

Miss my vein, many times kept trying just to cause a giant bruise, so I cannot donate again.
Philip R.

Stay away very unprofessional, the coupons that they offer don't ever Max out. You can never achieve them. It's hit-or-miss when you arrive if you can donate or not. Stay away, nurse Jasmine is the worst. She's inconsiderate unkind an uncaring

The day after my hematoma.

The nurses here don't know what the hell they're doing. The nurse that stuck the needle in my arm on my 2nd appointment gave me a hematoma that left a nasty bruise and so much discomfort that I've been feeling with for A WEEK NOW. Now that I waited a week to go back for my 3rd donation the management and nurse are telling me that I can't donate until the bruise is the size of a penny. That's going to take weeks to heal up... On top of that they're telling me that they WILL NOT give me an extension or grace period to complete my 8 donations for the $750 I NEEDED. It's so unfair that one of theirs nurses did this to me and because of her error I am unable to donate or ate the very least get an extension. HOW IS THAT FAIR?! Now I'm left with discomfort and pain. DONT DONATE HERE LIKE I DID. What a joke of a business.

Unprofessional. Some of the nurses have no idea how to poke, they dont care and treat you like a atm of blood. They want you in and out.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and professional. The staff made me feel completely at ease, explaining the different IV options and customizing one perfectly to my needs. What really stood out, though, were the excellent nurses-they were skilled, gentle, and incredibly attentive. My IV was inserted pain-free, and they monitored everything throughout the session to ensure I was comfortable the entire time. I left feeling hydrated, energized, and refreshed, with results that lasted for days. A special shoutout to Shasta, the manager, who does an outstanding job! She runs the front with such warmth, knowledge, and efficiency. Shasta is always friendly and helpful, knows the treatments inside and out, and makes sure every detail is taken care of so v visit is seamless and enjoyable. And when they're incompetent ends up being a complete inconvenience to you they do not care. They don't even apologize. I called weeks ago for an appointment with the doctor. They told me the doctor was booking really far out. I told them I wanted to definitely have him see the doctor eventually, but in the meantime, I was offered to see the nurse practitioner. I expressed to her since I wanted him to get in quickly or as quick as possible, which was within a couple weeks that I'd be willing to see the nurse practitioner quote so long as I can still see the doctor eventually" she assured me that that would be fine. So we decided on April 23 for the nurse practitioner and then she made me appointment in June to follow up with the doctor. I do not live close. I live 40 minutes away and I had to pull my child out of school, and then we drove all the way out there showed up 15 minutes early for our appointment and she proceeds to tell me that we do not have an appointment. I explained to her that I absolutely did have an appointment and she basically made it seem like since I couldn't remember the name of the person who scheduled the appointment or had some sort of text message appointment reminder that I had basically just made it up in my mind or something. She told me that I only had an appointment in June and I told her and explained to her what had happened and how I had the initial appointment with the nurse practitioner and I was told that I had a follow up appointment with the doctor in June, she told me "we cannot make two appointments at one time" which is interesting because whoever takes appointments when you call over the phone clearly doesn't know that rule and did not let me know that or else I would not have gone out of my way to call out of work and pull my child out of school to go to my nonexistent appointment because of their incompetence. Needless to say, I will never be going back there again and I do not recommend this place at all because they're incompetent, they're rude, they don't even apologize when they make mistakes or try to make it right. We were standing there she could've tried to squeeze us in, but she didn't even try. She just stood there smugly in my face saying sorry your problem not mine.

I paid up front over Venmo, feeling comfortable with it because of his good reputation on here. And indeed he did not disappoint. Andre showed up to my house exactly on time. He went over the instructions of the kit for the test I was having done, and already knew what to expect. He asked the right questions - "Are there ice packs with this one?" "Does it need to be centrifuged?" He was even such a pro he knew which cabinet door held my garbage can without looking. The poke itself was right on the money, nearly painless, and without complication. He took the kit with him to do the postal dropoff himself - it was included with his services. One less thing for me to have to do, which was appreciated. We shook hands, said goodbye, and that was that. He did not solicit me for a Yelp review. A lot of service providers will offer deals to customers in hopes of scamming their way into a good review - it's a red flag whenever I see it and it makes me mad for having wasted time reading reviews that were essentially bought. But Andre didn't do that at all, which is why I immediately got on my computer to write him a review anyway. He earned his reviews by being good at what he does. I'd use him again anytime.
