Unfortunately, this hotel needs a lot of work. Check-in and front desk service was very good, but…read morethe hotel conditions are abysmal. I stayed in one of their suites that has a open area family room with pullout bed/couch. In the main sleeping room, there were two twin beds pushed together to form a queen bed. I was travelling alone and every time I rolled over, the beds would separate and I'd fall to the floor. The bathroom was standard, but there were several broken items (sink cracks, shower handle, toilet flushing handle) along with disgusting stains on the floor and shower/bath floor. (grey & black smudge marks that wouldn't come up when scrubbed) Bed sheets were very thin. There was no air conditioner in the room and the heater would randomly come on during the night, so I would wake up sweating, have to open a window, and then re-awake to close it once it was cooler. There is a safe and refrigerator in the room, which was nice. Lastly, the walls were very thin and you could hear everything going on next door, including the TV. Very annoying. VERY IMPORTANT: The main door to the room was difficult to close. On my first night staying here, I woke up at 4am to go to the bathroom and found that my door was OPEN! (trust me, I remember closing it) I immediately checked all my belongings to make sure nothing was taken. Turns out, someone was going room to room during the night and someone from our party (staying in another room) had their passport stolen. Obviously, security is not a priority. The bar and restaurant were nice and wait staff was courteous. I didn't use the spa or gym, but I did see the space and it was very small. I heard that some of the machines were broken. They obviously need to maintain this property better. There is no ATM onsite, so come prepared with Euros. I was told by the front desk staff to visit the nearby casino if I wanted an ATM. No thank you! There are no convenience offers (no shop, store, gift shop, etc...) so if you forget your toothbrush or other toiletries, you will have to go shopping outside of the hotel. There is NOTHING within walking distance. In fact, you can't walk off property because there are very busy streets (expressways) and no safe areas for pedestrians. No markets nearby. No shopping. Overall, I was very unimpressed with the room, cleanliness, security, and overall features & location. When I come back to Spain, there is no way I would EVER come back to the Hotel Alcora, until they do a renovation and maybe move the hotel to a better part of town.

This is one of the most unique hotels I have had the pleasure of staying. My husband and I spent…read moreone night in Sevilla in October and he picked the hotel because he had visited the city previously. Once we arrived in Sevilla, it was pretty easy to find. We dropped off our rental at the airport and hopped on the bus that took you into the city. We got off at the San Sebastian stop and walked with our suitcases a few blocks up to the hotel. I also liked that it was walking distance from many of the sights we wanted to check out. We were able to walk to a Flamenco show, the Real Alcazar and the Cathedral. We also took some scooters to Plaza España. The hotel itself was more so a blocks of rooms in a neighborhood square connected with a labyrinth of courtyards and gardens. The rooftop was really neat, too. There are different levels where you can lay out in the sun near people or more privately. There is a pool that looked neat but we didn't have enough time to get in before our show. The hotel itself is clearly very old (by American standards at least) but well preserved and beautiful. The hotel piano bar in the second floor is a must see, too. Don't miss it! The rooms were surprisingly modern. The bathroom was very spacious. The bed was a little firmer than I would have liked but it wasn't a deal breaker by any means. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

About as good a base from which to explore Seville as possible. The most stressful part was finding…read morethe place in my rental car down very narrow streets. I was grateful for the valet parking, not so much by the €25 a day charge. The building itself seems to be a collection of buildings spread around a number of internal and external courtyards. Our room was accessible via a long and twisty underground tunnel that stretched for at least 300m passing the spa, various bric a brac bits and pieces, statues, fountains, peculiar display areas that may, or may not, have been shops or small boutiques. I've no idea. It's almost impossible to describe how bizarre and yet how charming it all was. After a while, though, I have to confess it became a bit of a schlepp. Our room was small but the bed was extremely comfortable with a queen size bed and a decent sized, well provisioned, en-suite bathroom. A piano bar on the first floor was both elegant and comfortable and we repaired there each evening after dinner in one of the fabulous restaurants within walking distance. The hotel also opened out onto a small plaza with plenty of outdoor bar and coffee options throughout the day and into the night. A couple of minutes away was the Cathedral and Alcazar as were numerous shops, bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours (a must). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay in Seville but leave the car at home,

There's multiple coffee machines, omelet bar, cereal bar, all kinds of stuff. It's behind the lobby, with an extension to sit 'outside' in a covered area. It was too cold for the pool to be open so we didn't see it, but it was such a nice, expansive place. We appreciated the flavored water in the lobby. Obviously using them to fill a water bottle is a no no, but disposable cups were provided. There was also a bar in the lobby (just about every hotel we went to had a bar) but we did not visit it. The rooms were just ok. Lately hotels provide a kettle for water, and instant coffee/tea/sugar/creamer. We had a mini fridge but declined to use it. Again, the shower consisted of a sliding door that did not extend across the length of the shower. There was a toilet and bidet, and again, the towels were kind of minimal. We grabbed a couple from the gym, which was modest but good to have. Being across the street from a department store, and near public transportation made for much convenience. But BE CAREFUL: they have a bike/standing scooter lane that somehow morphs into the sidewalk, so when crossing the street, watch both directions, even if the light is green/walk sign!

The Melia Lebreros is one Beautiful hotel and it's even better than the Melia Serrano (Madrid)…read more It's definitely bigger, taller, and more spacious. There's some construction going on outside but that's not their fault. Aside from that, the room was very neat, quiet and clean, the lobby area was very airy, the workout room was extra large, the breakfast buffet was very satisfying (they'll make an omelet for you), and I had a very uneventful and satisfying stay at this Melia. I skipped the in-room refrigerator snacks to avoid the extra charges.
